Bay Hill Lodge is not for stuffed shirts and persons with their noses in the air. This is a place for people like Arnold Palmer himself. A person grounded in integrity and honor and kindness. We even met him while there and he didn't offer us a brief smile and a scribbled autograph, he sat and talked with us like old friends. What a gentleman he is and this carries through with the staff at the Lodge. Kind, thoughtful and sincere about their goal of making your stay the warmest and best possible. Funny thing is, I'm not a golfer but i was with a group of businessmen who were and they couldn't say enough about the course. They cant wait to return..........and neither can I. Thank you for making my stay so memorable! Charles Grey, Florida Commercial Brokers Network, F.I.GREY & SON, Inc. Commercial Realtors Since 1924

Our group of four had a golf lesson with Tom Garner on our recent trip to Bayhill . I would highly recommend taking a lesson from Tom;not only was he very helpful and spot on with his instruction but he also went way beyond the two hours we scheduled. He is good at his job and truly loves what he does and it shows!

The Bay Hill Club & Lodge was the late Arnold Palmer's Florida headquarters. As you'd expect, the course he designed here is indeed fit for a king. Laid out in three nine-hole loops, the Challenger and Champion nines are used annually by the US PGA Tour for the Arnold Palmer Invitational (formerly Bay Hill Invitational), with the Charger-nine also maintained and presented in the same immaculate condition as the other two nines.

TVs right out of the 1980s. No On Demand or anything other than separate channels. Need 55 inches and all the usual items contained on modern TVs. Also will then need new Wardrobes to hold them. Lighter in color so they don t dominate the room as the present ones do. Everything else was fine and enjoyable. Restaurants and service first rate and all employees pleasant, friendly, and competent.

This is a beautiful hotel and golf course. The staff is great and service was excellent. The rooms have excellent blackout curtains however I found the beds to be uncomfortable and the sheets were old and needed to be replaced. The comforter seemed dusty. The tub was small and only holds about 5 inches of water before it hits the drain. This hotel could easily be turned into a 5 star hotel with a little investment.

The lodge is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and the golf course is fantastic. The restaurants and bars are very nice. The only negative comment I could give was that the customer service at the front desk left a little to be desired, by more than one clerk. I did not get a warm feeling, nor were they very helpful.

For the name and fan-fare- this is a less than desirable place to spend a vacation. I am not sure how they got a 4 star rating but this is property is far from it. The room was an adequate size but no desk space nor a fridge. The beds sunk in and the linens were dated with pills. The room was very dusty as the hall ways. The restaurants were empty and for some reason the pool had to have a gate with an attendant to let you in and out. The pool was the biggest draw-back, the temperature was more than 80 degrees and had leaves and dirt floating. When you suggest to the front desk the issues they would say "Reeeeally, we have not seen that."
Aside from being a premier golf course the hotel should be carefully looked at and changes made quickly. If I knew this before going I would have chosen a different property.
