I had to call 911 a few months ago and was picked up by Armstrong. I was charged almost $2,000 for a short drive to the hospital and less than 10 min of monitoring. There was a misunderstanding with my insurance, and Armstrong didn't get the full amount right away. Instead of clarifying this with the insurance, which is one of the best, they preferred to threaten with sending me to a collection. My insurance had paid the bill in full, and I still got their final notice. The female person in the billing department was extremely rude and totally unprofessional. Never used them if there is no emergency and there is no choice. They shouldn't be in this business at all.

Waited for TWO!! hours for Armstrong's ambulance to pick up my elderly mother from her dentist. Dentist was not surprised and said Armstrong is famous for being very late. They accept more orders for rides then they have available cars, and unable to keep up with pick ups. They drive people TO the appointments but don't have enough cars to pick them up! So customers get stuck at their appointments!
I had good experience with Ride and other transportation companies and never had more then 15-20 min delay. We have never waited to be picked up for TWO hours! Terrible service. Never again!

Seriously call an Uber. The $15 ride will be nothing in comparison to the $3500+ you ll be billed. The inexperienced EMT couldn t even put an IV in properly and this corrupt company is preying on the most vulnerable in the community. I will write letters to MA government about this company and their thieving ways.

Do you like waiting hours past your pickup time? Do you like disheveled EMTs who hate their job? How about Grumpy paramedics upset with doing transfers? Well then give Armstong EMS a call!

Ambulances are late just about every day. We get a flurry of excuses from dispatchers; "Busy day"; "Traffic"; "The nearest truck is 75 miles away"; "They're switching crews".

Resource management is pretty upsetting. I'm sure they do great 911 work but the transfer side is really lacking.

They clearly have poor logistics, and overbook. They dropped a patient at our office for a 10 minute appointment, refused to wait, then said there would be at least a 90 minute wait for pick-up of a frail, elderly patient from a rehab center, which was clearly inappropriate. Regular staff could not help. Manager was very nice, but stated nothing could be done due to other patient needs. Seems like they chronically have this problem, and could fix it with better scheduling.
