Good food, not overpriced, lovely garden with play things for children. Just limited with some me drinks.

Lovely place to sit outside on a summer day with a great selection of ales and food choices. Vegan and vegetarian options available, limited for gluten intolerant but I m sure if asked they d help you out. Staff helpful and friendly and kids play area to side, dogs welcome!

Had couple meals here now which were nice. Only thing would say negative is that Ploughmans lovely only it needs more bread and my chips weren t very nice ( were dry and dehydrated).

Overall, a really nice place to go for a chill.

Had a surprise birthday party for a friend at the Arkwright Arms, Cathy and all the staff were brilliant. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. Thanks again for everything!

With really friendly landlords John and Cathy, you'll get a warm welcome here. The annual Hawaiian Shirt festival is great, even better, it's free. This year saw at least 2500 people enjoying the bands,drinks and food.

Brilliant beer 7 or 8 real ale.s always available. Plus a extensive range of gins. Nice and friendly staff especially Hannah. Food wonderful.

Great choice of ciders, makes a change to travel up north to find a pub that doesn't just serve the usual Strongbow rubbish. Will be visiting this pub again on our next travels up to an away game this way for sure as often pass this way but never stopped here before we will be doing so in future travels

I love this pub. I feel relaxed and chilled whenever I come. I lived 2 years in Spain but I did miss this lovely place and now I am back to enjoy it once again

Very wellcoming good food and service nice to sit outside and chill

No baby changing facilities part from a very thin worktop area which you couldn't even put a bag on with out it falling never mind a baby and door behind you to hit you if you did decided to change baby on the worktop.

Having read the recent reviews which stated the food at this award winning pub was excellent we thought we'd give it a try.

Whilst ordering our food (having already purchased drinks) we were informed that there was a 30 minute wait on food. However after an hour of waiting the food finally arrived without so much as an apology. Although it was a sunday afternoon the pub was not busy so quite how it took an hour to cook 4 meals is beyond me.

The food was awful, the cajun chicken was chewy and the spice literally burnt on, the gammon steak was also chewy and more like a thick piece of bacon. The burger was average with extremely greasy chips and the open prawn salad was plentiful but disappointing, one piece of thin bread topped with copius amounts of marie rose sauce.

A decent pub with a nice selection of beers on offer, not sure what's the food is like.

Went to the hawian shirt day and had a great time - bar was a bit confusing to get served at first but you got used to it - great bands, food and kids entertainment- a good pub, been a few times

Cosy "real " pub. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Love this place, pity I don't live closer.

We took my father here for a Sunday lunch & the food was amazing! Hot, fresh, home cooked....Beautiful roast...reasonable price!!!

Tidy pub, very impressed!!! BUT !!!
There are local drinkers sat at the bar swearing very loud not shouting but you could easily hear from the other side of the room.
Am sure the staff, landlord/lady was aware like we were but nothing was done about it.
Real shame as this spoiled the experience..

Nice traditional pub with lovely bar staff. Welcomes dogs warmly. Lovely food at good prices. Pool table, darts and cards. Great menu and big selection of traditional ales. Fantastic gin menu too. Large car park. Outdoor seating. Free WiFi and music in two room. I am lucky this is my local.

This is a pub that still advertises that food is available when it isn't.

Please, please, if you only serve food when booked at any time of the year, take in your "Food served here between..." board as a stupid person might not know that you don't mean it at certain times of the year.
