I went on a free museum day hosted by the Smithsonian, but noticed it is only $3/ person to enter, so not bad for museum pricing. I would definitely go back to catch what I missed on the second floor. They had a glassblowing and architectural glass exhibit on and a door knob room which was interesting. Definitely a stop for historians and architectural enthusiasts!

Great place to discover information about historical architectural buildings and their architects in Portland as well as key influences that made Portland what it is today. Rotating exhibits, walking tours, and other events throughout the year.

At the time of our visit there was a fascinating exhibit on Minor White s photographs of buildings that are no longer standing, with some incredible salvaged parts of said buildings alongside. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and obviously passionate about what they do and stand for. There certainly needs to be more awareness and preservation of the city s prominent and important buildings - whether that importance is socially or historically!

Nice place to stop by if you're in Architectural Heritage Center. There is a underground parking garage if you can't find parking on the street. I went during the day and I have to go back at night next time I'm in town.

Fantastic collection of vintage brass doorknobs are the permanent side exhibition. Exquisite workmanship!
Knowledgable, friendly volunteers with a family history of Portland's booming 1800's are ready to share details of the city's architectural trends.
To avoid disappointment, call first to see if the main exhibit room is open.

A small museum of interest to people who enjoy history, architecture, and beautiful objects. They mount some very interesting special exhibits and are friendly and willing to answer questions. I visited on a weekday, but had no trouble finding open parking spaces on the street.

The go-to group to keep up with the changing terrain of architectural preservation. Guided tours of Portland neighborhoods, classes on all things history/architectural, and a lending library and ongoing exhibits.
