They have the best salads around. I thought the chicken parmesian sandwich was kindof a small portion. It was pretty tasty though despite its small size.

I've come before great place except for last time Sunday may the first at 3:45 a young lady cashier (blue eye, light skin) attended us with a bad attitude....management pls bring it to her attention tnx

It was surprisingly good. The have vegan and vegetarian options. Exelent bisque. Great service. The pizza was sooooooooooooo good.

Arcata Pizza & Deli is located conveniently near the plaza. It s an eclectic cozy &casual little restaurant. Great for dine in or take out. We have been there a couple times. The food was very good and we receive surprisingly large portions. My only complaint was the ice tea , it was terrible , it could have just been on off day. Other than that, I would definitely recommend going here.

Absolutely horrendous. Me and my Fiance ordered 2 burgers and 2 fries to go. After waiting nearly 40 minutes and watching 2 customers who ordered AFTER us leave with their food I approached the counter to make my discontent known. A few minutes later the cashier is back with our food. Came home to discover we were SHORTED a fry, my burger was was burnt to something that both looked and tasted like a hockey puck, AND IT WAS ALL COLD!! To top it all off this absolute dogsh*t meal cost me nearly 30 bucks. Exceedingly unhappy, i will never go back and will gladly share my thoughts on the "restaurant" with everybody I know

Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich is to DIE for. Pair it with some old bay fries and a Yerba mate, and call it a meal

It was great!! And the service was excellent as well!

Pretty good food, but pricey for what you get. My husband and I each got a slice of pizza and split a caesar salad. I thought the salad was delicious, but definitely not a typical caesar. My husband did not like it at all. Pizza was pretty good. Service was just okay. Good beer selection.

The food is great but everytime I go it takes too long today I called in advance and waiting in your dining area for an entire hour I sat there and watch as parties of multiple people came in after me ordered more doors than me and still got theirs first, some of my friends won't even eat here when I bring it up because it takes so long to eat. I understand some nights are busy so I still come here to eat sometimes they are the only restaurant around that has anything close to an In-n-out burger!

Sashimi had an interesting twist. Long and thin. Sushi rolls unremarkable. CA crab roll was CA rice. Great Saki selection. Outstanding host but service was nominal. An experience not worthy of a repeat peformance.

If you're from anywhere east of San Francisco, this is the pie for you. Excellent Burgers, and the boss catches the smoked Albacore used in the tuna melt. Muah!!!

Expensive but always good food, fast service and open late. Limited seating but good location next to the plaza.

Love a good out n about burger or a giant pizza slice. Don't even get me started on the garlic cheese fries. Also have a very good tofu Reuben sandwich if you like that sort of thing

This place is open late and has a huge menu. Wait times can get long but when your hungry... My favorite is the out and about burger. The evil twin of the in n out burger lol. Make it a double!

Good food, but service was lacking. Typical college town joint with typical college town people hanging out as well as working there. Good vibes overall.

Stopped by for a quick lunch break from school and work with my daughter, service was quick with at the door Covid precautions in place. We ordered burgers and fries then walked around for a few minutes outside for it to be ready. When we opened our food back in the car it was piping hot and delicious. And I appreciated that they left the boxes slightly open on the ends so the fries and buns did not get soggy. Some of the best fries around!

Great food, fun atmosphere. Groups of friends, families. Hope to go back!

Open more hours than most businesses would even consider and food is good all hours! just had their french dip sandwich and even an awesome burger! i normally despise onions but they can sautee them to perfection of a buttery almost crunchy taste that i can devour within seconds! i beg for this business to never close and i will even pray that they stay open for many generations or centuries to come! i enjoy and love their business and i appreciate the very fact that they stay open above and beyond normal business hours to cater to the night owls of humboldt county!

Horrible service, horrible food. We ordered a large sausage, red pepper and mushroom pizza. What was served up was circular cardboard with a little sauce, cheese, 3-4 red peppers, 4-5 mushrooms and what appeared to be sausage, but appeared more like some sort of meat mush... Save your time and money and get pizza from roundtable as it at least tastes like pizza! And you couldn't find more smug millennials to serve you anywhere else in Arcata!

We really enjoy APD as a quick meal when we are hungry and tired. You can get a reliably good burger there for a decent price and when their fries are good, they are really good! The cob salad and the pizza are also pretty good for the price. I haven't tried it yet, but they recently started a special working with local fisherman. They have a board with the fish that they have, who caught them, and how they are cooking them (generally battered). I am pretty excited to try these out, and its a pretty great way to support the local economy.

The food is good! The prices are mid range but you get a lot for your money. Would recommend

Food was good and atmosphere was pleasant but a little noisy. If you order a sandwich that's what you get.... not sides.

Really good pizza. I had the garlic pizza. I like Margiareta pizza, but didn't need a whole pizza and they don't sell that one by the slice. The staff is super friendly. The whole place has a nice feel to it.

The food is really good, and the prices are good -you get what you pay for. The staff is nice and they have really fast service. They make some of the best fries in the area!

I come here for 2 things. First, their "out n' about" burger which is a nod to the in-n-out burger. I actually enjoy it more because they use better quality beef. Secondly, their sandwiches are great, all of them. I've had them all! haha. The best is the chicken bacon club, and the tofu pesto.

This place has delicious food and good quality. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly and helpful

Really good food but the employees were rude when I pointed out that they weren't allowed to ask for my ID on a visa card if the back was signed. I take customer service very seriously and they were utterly rude.

French Dip is fantastic, the pizza is ok, but the Out and about burgers are better than In and out

Honestly this place is amazing. The workers are extremely polite and efficient, good hospitality is something you can definitely tell they work towards.
The food is quite exceptional as well if I do say so myself. As I've only visited this place a couple of times, I have only gotten the chance to try out their sandwiches, not their pizza. From what I've tasted so far, there is absolutely nothing that falls short about this place. The food is down right delicious. I hail from San Francisco, and this place definitely gives me some reminiscent vibes as to what a lot of the restaurants look like out there. If you're in the area and are looking for a good spot to eat, look no further. AP&D is your joint.

Great pizza and music. Mediterranean pizza was a bit watery in the middle but a fork and knife solved that.

Over priced for a sandwich I can make at home. Over $10 for sandwich/burger with NO fries. We expected for the price our sandwiches would be full of meat. Nope, not the case. I have never been there since and I continue to not recommend it.

Super large portions but the blackened chicken pizza was soooooo good. A side salad could feed 2 and the cheesy garlic fries we're good just needed a little salt. Overall good place to visit while in town

Not sure what's going on down at APD,we asked for regular burger. We get soggy nasty out and about road kill. As for Cole slaw,Ouch more like onion salad. Yes !! Hire locals ,just make them Adults and more than a dorm room cook

Went with a friend who's been out of town, we were looking forward to some good eats after Slice of Humboldt (so good). Both of us got single slices from their standard list of pizzas on the wall, and a large garlic fry. Fries were OK, just ordinary string fries with minced garlic on sprinkled top, seemed like freezer fries but decent...I guess. Quantity over quality there sadly...

The real disappointment was the reheated cheese pizza they used for ny chicjen and his pepperoni/meat lover type slices. It was obvious they took older cooked cheese slices and dropped some meat and veggies on, then threw it under heat. Costco throws out pizza when it's as old as what we got. The pizza was SUPER thin, borderline "thin crust" and the toppings were in the center of the slice and not baked into the cheese because of the prep method. My friend's slice almost had no cheese too. Taste was OK but overall mediocre for over $5 a slice. I'd rather have Taco Bell.

I'm not going back, been there a few times and full pizzas are OK, but when you have Don's Donuts down the street selling GOOD pizza AND donuts, and Smugs two blocks away selling GREAT pizza; why go to APD? Oh well. Maybe the manager will see this.

Finally, the cashier was obviously having a bad day, or hating his job, or both. He was pretty blunt and unfriendly with both of our orders and seemed more concerned with his phone.

I ordered a Natty burger which I eat often and after taking a bite, I realized I had been served a gardenburger. When I told them about the mix-up, they assured me it was a Natty burger. I ended up just eating the gardenburger and not causing a scene because I was with other people, but I won't be going back to this spot.

Best Mushroom Swiss Burger I've ever had! Next time I'm in town I'm definitely going back and getting another.

We were passing through on vacation and the front desk clerk at our hotel recommended. We were a week away from home and this was hands down the best meal of the trip. We bought a pizza that was top 5 best I've ever had. The restaurant is eclectic and the server was friendly and attentive. Thank you for making our vacation memories

Best burger I have ever had! It's also one of the cutest little food place around.

Went sober and it was terrible. Worst sandwich ever. Went drunk a month later for pizza and it was good. Not sure how much the alcohol played a role but I'll never go again. Unless I'm drunk again and happen to walk right by the front door.

I bought a margarita pizza there and almost ate half of it by myself it was so good. It also had a great environment to sit and talk to friends while you eat.

Well bad experience here, went there on a Friday night around 8, I ordered a veggie pizza, not a vegetarian but it sounded good. First we sat at a table that hadn't been cleaned yet thinking someone would come bus it down as we waited didn't happen. I ended up moving the stuff to another dirty table after fifteen minutes. When the pizza got there it looked great, however the crust was non existent was more like a soup than a . You couldn't pick it up. We were starving so we ate it anyway, it tasted good other than it wasn't a pizza anymore, rather a cooked salad, with wet paper thin bread underneath. The pizza was half New York style half Brooklyn,(thick and thin. At the end of the meal we left a couple slices and asked for the manager, mainly because we thought it was a experiment by the cook. She then said that's how they make it and you should eat(the salad pizza)with a fork and knife. I said ok but we didnt get any knife or fork and maybe you need a disclaimer or warn people that isnt a pizza. She then blamed us for not knowing , got a little rude then walked away. gg

AP&D has been a staple go to food spot for my friends and I for a long, long time. This is the best place for late night eats in Arcata. The garlic fries are insanely good, give em a shot!

Amazing place. All of the food is delicious. Awesome atmosphere. If you go, get the spicy chicken club! You will not be disappointed.

Pizza was $28 for a large. Was very salty and not very good. Seems to be a local favorite, we probably just got a rare bad one

APD is a great place to get awesome food in Arcata! Big slice of pizza, huge pile of fries, and their wonderful Philly cheese steak sandwiches! It's been a personal favorite since I moved here. Which was '02. Love the smell of flavors in the building. Great selection of beer to have with the food. Great for lunch, dinner, and after hours when you are done with the bar! Super fun place to go!

The food was absolutely amazing and mouth watering. Their small fry is more like a large fry, be careful with food portions! Might end up ordering more than you can handle!

Best burger in Humboldt. The pizza is not that bad either.

Burnt pizza. Literally black on the bottom. Worst pizza I have ever had.
