I called i said hello and my name and then lady did hang up on me.. so taking my business somewhere else.
I had 3 jobs for Arca to deliver. They did 1 out of 3 efficiently.
1. Arca got my full container out of the port. They did it on a tight schedule and quickly.
2. I needed the shipment palletized and specifically told them to stack them as high as they can since palletizing costs $25 per pallet. When the shipment arrived, I saw that half the pallets were half the height or less, and they charged for more pallets that I did not need. I do not recommend using their warehouse to palletize if you have a LTL shipment.
3. I needed 2 pallets delivered 6 miles to Costco. Arca used their local freight company that is 55 miles away to deliver. Because they did not deliver with the right size truck for Costco (it seems they do not know logistics for large vendors), and brought it back 55 miles to their warehouse, and charged additional for the right size truck to deliver 55 miles. Originally they had quoted me $175 which was $75 more than what it would have cost if they simply called a nearby freight company with excellent reviews or told me I should outsource. I decided to use them anyway since they had done a good job taking my container out of the port and wanted to give them the extra business. They blamed my manager and said she did not tell them to take it back to the warehouse 6 miles away. The fact is they only told us the delivery was rejected and that they will take it back to the warehouse and did not give an option to deliver it back 6 miles away. My total fees were over $800 for a shipment that should have been $100, and they will not take any responsibility for it. If you need anything delivered via freight, unless you are delivering near Carson where their warehouse is, I highly recommend you use another company.
