Favorite ski resort in Colorado. Very friendly staff, incredibly challenging terrain. Season pass is incredible reasonable if you can buy it pre-season.

Something for all skill levels, it's the local spot
Very chill atmosphere, great mountain and getting better every year
A-Basin is always a favorite. We love skiing, sitting on the beach, just really low key and old school.
Great Terrain but slower lifts. Cheap for CO resorts
One of my favorite ski areas. Staff are friendly and professional, food at the restaurants is not too silly priced and terrain is awesome.
Family oriented ski area with good food and great higher-level skiing.
If you want to get away from all the fancy resorts and just ski or board on a fantastic mountain this is the place for you. Great snow. No lift lines. Only con is 1 high speed lift.
A-Basin was a blast! The terrain is some of the best I've ever skied. I'll definitely be back.
Super super fun ski experience. I have been living in Malaysia & Singapore almost the entire time, Never knew about spring ski. It was so amazing for me to driving up a mountain that was warm yet still see snow. The instructor os patient and helpful. Managed to ski at the beginner lane on our own after one hour of training.
One of the best local ski resorts in the country!!! They have some of the best bloody marries in summit county.
Super fun. I love that the parking lot is at the bottom of the bunny hill.
Abay is 1 of the best for sure. No crowds and great terrain
Great ski experience everytime. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The slopes are amazing. The instructors for the kids are the BEST
Love Abay. Actually had delicious food at their mid mountain lodge. Yes, it was wicked expensive like all other resorts, but so good. They had smoked the meat right at the lodge! I'm surprised they were still open in May. Snow was still boardable, but very slushy and soft, so it was hard to grip. My binding broke mid mountain, ON THE FIRST RUN. I got to the base and their staff was helpful in pointing me the right direction. Their tuning shop gave me a solid fix for $1.
This place is horrible. You should all get out of my way and go ski at Beaver Creek. I hear they have free cookies there.
Got snow and some steep fast runs in today. Great place to enjoy the snow sports.
Gotta love this resort. Friendly place alot of locals go to. Not to good of a phone signal thou but makes it great as no one's staring at their phone. New lift this year and more acre's.
Awesome! Unpretentious and where the locals go. Great variety of difficulties of runs, everyone was friendly and happy, and the taco truck had one of THE BEST veggie breakfast burritos I've ever had. On the weekend, get there by 8. Parking fills up quick.
Its obvious the staff either hate their jobs or just hate people. Before you even get your boots on you will encounter rude parking staff. And first ride up rude liftys. All day long you may find a couple nice ones but 80% rude.
What the hell happened to Araphoe Basin? Rudest riders I've come across at any resort. Great mountain, but bad experience with rude riders cutting us off, flying by us, and spraying us. I assume the mellenials who can't afford Breck, Keystone or Vail come here. Probably won't come back.
Smaller resort than Keystone or Breck but has some great tree runs that kept some powder after a couple of days.
We had trouble with our Vail season passes not working here and since the resort isn't owned by Vail, we had to go back to Keystone to sort out the issue, wasting a few hours. Would definitely recommend checking in at Keystone before going to Arapahoe to make sure everything works.
Not as big as the other resorts (Keystone, Breck, Vail, etc), but not nearly as crowded. There are some really fun runs that require a little hiking to get to, but are totally worth it. Great local ski area.
Tough mountain but really fun. Not too crowded considering it's on ikon
Great resort for your money! Cheaper than other Colorado resorts, but still offers some really fun runs and unique terrain that can't be found elsewhere. Good amount of tree runs, which I enjoy and the snow was great! No crowds and was groomed nicely. You can he some beautiful views from top the mountain! Can't wait to come back again!
I'm told it receives the first and last snow of the season. I loved it. Small lodge and I think only 2 or 3 lifts open, but great place to take first ride this year.
My favorite of the mountains around Dillion/Silverthorne. Easy to get to, easy to get up to the top, and challenging terrain. Every time we go, we do Breck, Keystone, Copper, and A-Basin, and A-Basin is always my favorite!
No good! Don't waste your time here! Go to Keystone or Breckinridge!!!
This is a great locals place. Usually not to crowded and you can find some steep terrain. There's Great tree skiing in the back, good bumps on the front, and lots of areas to hike if you want to find the untouched stash.
Incredible place, excellent snow and walking among the pines is a dream. Of the best. But complicated to get driving if it is snowing. The same, unpayable. You can't stop coming when there is good snow. 6 stars
Went 11/4/17 was super crowded. Can't do much about that. Super awesome conditions and great staff. A-basin will always be my favorite mountain.
fun times. learned i can t really snowboard but it was still a pretty good time. perfect for beginners.
It was my first time snowboarding and this is not the place for beginners. Great if you know how to ski/snowboard.
Afforadble and incredible runs, countless blues. I reccomend it to everyone going out to CO.
It's always amazing. The staff is incredible and attentive. The snow is always fresh, and usually stay open the latest in the season! Also, the drive to the resort is one of the best!
Authentic Colorado skiing experience. Non-pretentious, amazing scenery, close in parking, challenging mountain, you cannot go wrong with a day at A Basin!
My daughter, Mansen and I love this place, staff, the slopes, the food, the bar and the people!!!!!
Every year a great year
Some of the best skiing closest to Denver! Go to the back bowl for less traffic on the slopes
We love the Basin. Even better without Vail Resorts.
Ski like a local and ride some of the most fun terrain in Summit
Planned to come out there this past March during Spring Break but had to cancel our trip due to COVID -19. They were so easy to deal with and immediately offered us a refund even though their policy states a strict no refunds allowed. Thanks so much - hope we can get out there at some point!
perennial favorite! be aware all parking is no longer free. $25 for early riser lot if not carpooling with 4 or more people in vehicle. great beginner area. varied terrain with recent expansions and new lifts. not as homey as in years past but still allow cookouts and dogs unlike other local resorts.
Gorgeous ski area with a number of different slopes for all levels and skill types. Came after a blizzard and thankfully were able to drive up considering the road conditions and were not disappointed. We arrived late in the afternoon and parked far, but there was a shuttle that took us to the main area, which was nice. Having never been on the slopes before, our instructor, Tim Stroh, was an absolutely understanding and accommodating gentleman who made the kind-of-scary first-time experience all the better with his professionalism, encouragement, and sense of humor. Their skiing and snowboarding lessons are the best prices, no doubt. They also make the check-in and rental process easy and seamless too. Once you're done on the slopes, there's a gift shop (one of the best I've been to) and eateries as well.
#skiing #snowboarding
Good terrain. Good run mountain. Dont come on the weekends.Snow depends on the year. Food is disgusting. Other than that I love It!
Long lift lines currently only 3 runs open currently.
First time here. My husband and I were new to the Denver area (now living in Milwaukee). I decided to give it a try. We are from the Texas hot valley so this was all new to us. Not dissappointed at all. Went skiing 2 times. Very nice place to ski and enjoy the views. They also have a rental if you dont have any. No googles though. I can't wait to go back! I want more snow!!!
**if you are new and don't know how to ski, I would recommend to pay for the classes. Unless you have a buddy to teach you the basics.
This place knows how to treat riders of every variety. They also treat their staff well which can't be said for the bigger resorts. I love and support A-Basin! (former SkiCo employee)
Opens early in the season, nicely groomed, fun, and my favorite place to ski
Our go-to for skiing, since most people that ski here know what they're doing.
Get the Bacon Bloody Mary first thing off the chair and then go ski all day!
One of our favorite ski resorts. Love the terrain, staff, and small town feel!
Great slopes! I love that they are the last to end the ski, they usually close mid June. However, if you're going their just to visit and not sk, you will definitely dislike the place. The services their are just average.
A basin is always a good time. Also, really great staff who run the place. My friend had a bad experience with her ski instructor and we went to go talk to the manager about it. They gave her the options of a full discount or another lesson another weekend. Nice to feel like you are being heard as a customer. Beach spots are also very fun :))
Arapahoe basin is the place to go if you want to eat at your car. It's a short walk from the parking lot to the lift, but there is plenty of room to eat inside as well. A- basin is not the best place for beginners because most of their runs are blue and blacks, but the kids area is right up front and easy to access.
Employees ruined the score. Staff is very annoyed by customers, strange for a business where there entire job is customer service.... The runs are decent but the way everything funnels at the bottom makes it a bottleneck.
Great place to ski, I broke me leg skiing there a and the medical crew are very good and professional.
Arapahoe Basin is indeed the Legend! One needs to have at least one used A-Basin ticket to be called a skier!
Nice if there is fresh powder and you can hit the back side. Otherwise not enough room to explore
Fantastic conditions, the new Beaver's terrain is incredible. If you haven't skied A Basin in awhile you really need to check it out. Longest season in Colorado.
Once upon a time it was a favorite. Vail is trying to turn a chill mountain into a family park. I think there are already enough of those.
Love this place. Dollar for dollar I think it's the best value from a Lift Ticket perspective. Plenty of skiing to be done too. It's not the biggest ever, but it's pretty solid. And man, it's tucked in a beautiful valley!
Access to big lines without the hiking. The new lifts at A Bay are great! Not happy about them ditching Vail, but understand.
Never disappoints, always the best bloodys with great runs
It's okay. A bunch of the lifts are old. There are a bunch of flat sections between runs. I think if I were an expert this would be more fun, but since I'm mostly happy going down the mountain, the blues/ greens aren't as much fun.
