Honestly when Jamba Juice was still here it was a true icon. The upstairs had a great panini press that I used frequently and my friend and I used to get the Chinese food at the bottom. I would give her my broccoli and she would give me some extra chicken. Simpler times
It s pretty mediocre in terms of dining. It s not bad but it s not 5 star either. Make sure your food is cooked too....
Really good, yummy variety, and kind staff. Gets busy because of its popularity, so can be a bit crowded and messy
A wide variety of cuisines in a well-run and organized space. Lots of outdoor tables.
The people working here are incredibly rude and condescending. I asked a question about my meal at Mediterranean deli, and the worker picked up my meal threw it into trash and said he would remake it. Extremely rude! He then remade it with the worst quality meat and with less. Never eating here again!
Not as good as chase. Srsly what are you doing if you go to lenior over chase? Do you have any self respect at all? You're better than that.
a great space, with a lot of seating areas and options, with incredible staff. It was crowded, but it was a dining hall, so that makes sense. The coffee was great!
While the food selection is great, the lack of seating from 11:45-1:05 is next to impossible to find for a group larger than three people. Also, the vendors along mainstreet in the bottom of Lenoir close very early in the day, which would be nice to go to for dinner sometimes
It is ok. Every day has same breakfast. It is a little bit frustrating. Overall it is not too bad.
Lots and lots of dining options!! Very welcoming campus experience.
Lots of stuff. Gets repetitive after a while. Go here for a couple of years, and the entrees may start tasting the same. Breakfast is always the same stuff, but you can get good omelettes.
Every kind of food you can imagine including local, healthy fare. Always super impressed by this place!
Very little open in summer. When classes are in session, it's very crowded. Food is pricey.
I love Lenoir! However the food can sometimes get repetitive, and there is less variety at certain times of the day which make it difficult since the Dining Hall charges a student the same price at 3PM as they do at noon- when they serve pizza and salad at 3PM but have an entire menu at 12PM. Which can make it not worth the effort to go (Despite the fact that was why I bought a meal plan.)
Not the greatest hours over the weekend, but the food is excellent! Try to keep away from peak hours (12-1 and 6-7) though; gets hard to find somewhere to sit then. Great variety of food as well, and accommodating options for those who may need them!
Slightly better than Rams, but Carolina Dining Services is still a horrible institution.
There are plenty of food options downstairs, but the upstairs cafeteria costs too much for the quality of the food, even if it is all you can eat. Staff is super nice.
This was our first and last trip to Lenoir Dining Hall! Food was not fresh and very limited selections. It was so crowded and congested that you could barely walk
It's convenient, but honestly the food is not great.
Lackluster, make your own food if you can, if not, eat out, it costs the same or less
Staff is really nice but I definitely wouldn t pay money to eat at the cafeteria/top part. There are a lot of smaller restaurants on the first floor that are much better, like Med Deli, Cholanad, Merritts, and 1.5.0.
Has pretty much the same food as Rams Head Dining hall, but is usually a lot more packed. The major difference is that the bottom level has a couple different restaurant-ish facilities that provide even more variety. Convenient if you're up on North Campus.
Delish food, good for the planet, and great for your body!
There was a huge amount of variety, even for vegetarians or vegans! The food was really good quality as well which is surprising given the large amount of food they supply. The spacing can get a little tight as the dinning hall needs to fit as many students as possible. So when it is busy you feel as if you are literally on top of everyone else. Some of the chairs are a bit wobbly and annoying so be mindful of that, but this is a bit of a nitpick. Overall would definitely recommend eating here.
Food and selections was excellent. Mu only beef was the lack of fixings for the soft ice cream
Awesome...varieties of food..
Food tastes good...
Good mac and cheese. Remember to treat the staff with common courtesy they're people.
Decent cafeteria-style food. Alright to eat at in a pinch.
Bottom of Lenoir workers are often rude and unprofessional. Top of Lenoir workers are usually nice, but the food isn't great
Things have changed a lot since I was last here. Still the same size, flow and format but much better food. We as always a long walk from Becton but the ice cream cone set me on my way.
Lots of choices with health-conscious options in mind.
Great food, huge selection, tons of options, great salad-bar
They have a lot of food but like its only kinda alright. Good for fruit and yogurt though.
Good food, good had the ingredients listed so it is easy to see if you have allergies. Price is good if hungry, buffet style.
What can I say. It's a college cafeteria. Food is alright. I tried their sushi roll. It was not sushi rice at all. Tuna tasted really flat and slimy.
It's good the first time you go but after a while the food gets repetitive.
Went for college tour and decided to try food after tour. Mostly closed only options available were pre made wraps and salads.
Great place to eat for students! All you can eat and quality food! Couldn't ask for more!!
Great food and better place to meet up with friends or make new ones.
I loved this place. Whenever I visit UNC Chapel Hill, I always come. The price is decent and the food is great, but admittedly I only have stuff like pizza and ice cream.
Decent buffet with lots of options but the food is usually bland
I found the food here very good. Their salad bar (also have fruit) is very fresh. They have a large number of options including sushi, vegan, grill, pizza, burrito station, pasta, and "meat and veggies" type entrees. For dessert the always have cookies and soft-serve icecream plus cakes and the like that varies day to day.
Typical college food, greeted by the meanest lady on campus checking ID's on orientation days.
Good food, generally have a decent selection. The staff is extremely nice. Seating can be tough sometimes, but overall is a great place to go.
Has gotten better recently, whether it be sushi or any other entree. I've been impressed.
Bottom of Lenoir has some of the most popular best dining options on campus. Top of Lenoir, the dining hall, has some of the worst food on campus. Chase Dining Hall has better tasting dining hall food. However, if you're looking for a quick bite between classes, Bottom of Lenoir is your best and quickest choice. The staff for CDS are also some of the nicest people on campus.
Burger turned out medium rare even though most people wanted it cooked. But then by 2nd round, it was fixed.
This is on the campus of UNC. For a University they make sure there is something for everyone.
Tip: You don t have to be a student or faculty member to eat here. This is a great place to visit for all you can eat at an affordable price with much better quality food than you would get at a buffet.
The food is okay in the dining hall. Downstairs is a little expensive, but good in a pinch.
It's a dining hall. A bit expensive, and the selection varies wildly in quality.
Just average food, not terrible, not good. Has a good salad bar, but I would not recommend eating here if you like healthy food. Most of the food here is filled with sugar or fat.
The buffet is good, at least from the perspective of quantity, however the quality is so so. However, this is definitely one of the best buffets in the campus.
