First time here - I felt like a kid in a then park. It's not too big, just the right size to enjoy a day of entertainment and learning about nature. Outside features a great view of the wharf and what i would best describe as a petting zoo for sharks and rays. Pretty amazing - the tanks inside feature meant of the local ocean wildlife including sharks, giant rays, fish, and crustaceans. Great place for kids and grown ups alike.
It's good place to learn especially for the kids ... love it...
Outdoors only, but we had fun feeding the lorikeets, and touching sharks, rays, sea jellies.
My kids loved this place, there are tons of activities to do.
Great place to bring the family. With current COVID procedures in place be sure to reserve an earlier time.
Love this place. It was packed on the weekend and made it difficult to enjoy some of the exhibits. Definitely considering a membership.
So glad that was finally able to go. Does not disappoint.
Not as good as Monterrey bay aquarium but still very awesome. I love all the volunteers and their excitement for their job.
Very nice place for kids and adults alike, they have a cruise where you can go whale watching
Great place to learn about fish and other life on the ocean
Aquarium itself was very nice. Asian culture event was going on but I wasn't impressed. The food and drink were very expensive.
Well taken care of and clean. Great staff and volunteers.
Best place to learn about marine animals and their habitat.
Always a bit crowded but lots to see, was a fun time.
The aquarium itself is great, but the parking payment system is outdated and awfully clunky. It just does not work well.
Also, I don't understand, why validating the parking ticket only gives you a discount, instead of validating the full price. Especially, since every vehicle generates at least $60 revenue. If this still is not cost effective, they could add full parking validation as an option at ticket purchase.
This saving on the wrong end was quite a downer when trying to leave this otherwise pleasant aquarium.
Lovely experience, very educational and a perfect spot to bring children. Enjoyed the wide variety of exhibits and interactive experiences! Night dive is great for a date night, would highly recommend!!!
Friendly, enthusiastic staff. Interactive exhibits. Educational shows.
It's great for kids and you can see a variety of animals living in the pacific. Quite interesting. They offer tours for kids
Lovely place to go and explore. Staff is always helpful and excited to teach.
I loved this place. The cost of admission was comprable as well as the food. Great for family fun or while on a date.
Very fun but it's way smaller than you expect so when its busy you are shoulder to shoulder with people.
First visit to an aquarium on the Pacific Coast and it was thoroughly enjoyable! The habitats looked well maintained and animals well taken care of!
Cheaper then Sea World and lots of fun! You can pet starfish, sting rays even moon Jelly's and the people that work there are so informative and friendly! It was under 30 bucks for us and baby was free after 5. You can go from morning to 5 or the night time which is cheaper and the place is lit up and really nice!
Perfect place to spend the day with family. Loved everything about the aquarium & all the presentations about sea life & our environment.
Good sized Aquarium. Large Aquarium parking lot across the street. Other lots located within walking distance. Exhibit space is split between indoor and outdoor. Tons of different tanks showing different ocean climates. Several different touch-tank experiences (ranging from tide pool style to small sharks and rays). Lorikeet experience for an additional fee. Easy way to spend an hour or two if you're in the Long Beach area with a group. Good for kids.
I hate children. But the fish were amazing. Great experience. Definitely recommend going at least once.
Very nice place and it s really good to take kids come !! I enjoy it a lot
I never thought it was such amount of life under the sea. Impressive. I took so many pictures , my kid still remember playing with the baby sharks. Love it
You can feel your blood pressure lowering with how relaxing it is here
It was a blast! Took 8, 9, & 3 year old grandchildren and they all stayed entertained the entire time.
Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the best places to visit in Long Beach. Very educational and entertaining.
You get to see so many cool and interesting animals. The only downside is that it's always crowded.
It was our first time we enjoyed it and seeing stuff we didn't see really life.
This place was pretty cool, however it feels more for kids.
Not what i was expecting parking was 12 which isnt bad ok now you half to pay for admission which was alot. Niw we get into this place an there is like barly an animal dont waste your money on this place my kids are 3 an 7 they did not enjoy this place so save your money or go do something else that is Actually fun
Fun Family outing! We did have some issues with the kiosk. But customer servicw help us immediately. Staff all arouns where helpful and friendly.
I enjoy visiting every time especially when there's a theme event. I forgot, it's also great to take the kids, too!
I've seen better. The ones in Monterey and at Scripps near San Diego are top notch. This one? Okay-ish.
Beautiful exhibits, and engaging staff - even at the end of the day. The Jelly Fish, Sharks, Sea Lions, Penguins, were all standouts to me.
We went to couple times already , but still gonna go .
Recommend it for anyone with kids. Buy the nectar at the birdcages and birds will fly on your shoulders and arms. It is a hilarious thing to do to the kids
An waste of $150. If you're in between L.A. & San Diego, best just to spend the extra hour n the car & head South to Sea World.
Really nice family place. Touchable sharks and rays. Kid friendly with lots to see and do.
Wonderful and clean, great for young kids. Easily observe the entire Aquarium in a few hours. Staff was knowledegable and patient!
This place does not disappointment. Beautiful animals and displays and the touch pools are the best!!
I love this aquarium, but its very very crowded on the weekends. It seems it is in need of a severe maintance plan as some of the tanks are cloudy and alge growth in the touch tanks. The center aquarium directly to the rear of the entrance in the main building has a scheduled diver and draws crowds for good reason. This is a air conditioned crowd pleasing family friendly educational destination. Its close to the lighthouse and alot of good restaurants.
Such an incredible aquarium in the LA area, the shows and different attractions make a wonderful day out alone or with the entire family.
Fun, educational place! I liked touching the rays! Had a HUGE problem trying to leave Pike Parking Garage after validating parking at the Aquarium. Parking validation for the Aquarium is good for 24 hours for $8!
Been a member for over 20 years. Always enjoy coming here
Kids had fun touching the moon jellies, bat rays and more. Shows and short 4D movies available. Give them your parking ticket and they will give you another and you ll only pay half the price, $8. Food is over priced and you don t get much if it, if on a budget take your own lunch. The have a booklet and kids get to emboss at different stations.
It's good for killing a couple of hours. When it's busy, it's too busy, to packed.
Always a great time at the aquarium. The family membership is worth it for the year. Their conservancy efforts are awesome and the education they give the kids is worth the price many times over
So I went to visit this aquarium for my class on Saturday 5/25/19 and it was around 1 or 1:15 when me and my friends were leaving when we met the rudest securities in the garage, they were two females. Honestly this is one of the nicest aquarium that I've visited so far. nice information, staff, and beautiful view. the only bad thing that ruined my day was the securities in the garage. They were absolutely disrespectful, had a very very bad attitude, one of them told my sister to get out of the car to fight her. I don't understand how a SECURITY(someone who is supposed to protect people) would say something like this to people. I thought i would recommended to people, and I thought I can take my niece with me, but I cannot let my niece see rude people like them. I don't think I will ever go back to this aquarium.
i go to couple of shows that they had and it's very educational great place for family fun
Learning is awesome! Everyone had a bit of knowledge that was memorable to them. Worth it.
I'm not a huge fan of aquariums, but this was a pretty good one. Lots of displays that were visually stunning. Very crowded though, I didn't have to deal with parking, but it looked atrocious.
I liked how they seem to take good care of the animals and the place was clean. We got there late so only had three hours til closing. The cost was pretty high but not a lot to do or see so we didn't even stay the whole three hours. Place was good but the value was not.
It was so busy and they don't have any flow set up for the traffic you can go in and out either side of the exhibits. We we're only there for about an hour because it was just too chaotic
We love the aquarium! Membership is totally worth it. My kids always enjoy coming, even if it's only for a short time.
One of my favorite places I have gone ever gone every summer. Uno de mis favoritos lugares que voy cada verano.
