Best place of employment I have ever had here in New Mexico !! Supervisors actually care !!

This is one of the worst contracting companies that you must work for. This organization hires employees and places in Government places such as USGS, afterwards there is no care about the employee at all. All what they care was about making money. After you are hired you are been managed by a program manager who only cares about his position. If the Government agency doesn't have any funds to pay for an extra employee they just decide to remove you within an hours notice. They pretend on surface as they are caring about the employee but not all. If there is any issue also there is no way that you could talk to the HR. All what they think is the program manger's decision is correct. Daily there is an advertisement for a placement for an employee contracted for Apogee. Please do not go there if you want to work for a great company with good caring.

My friend that works there does amazing work that I never thought was or could be possible AND they accommodate the schedule for my friend's kiddo. Makes me wanna work there too.

When they initially hire you, they promise you the moon and stars; however, once they employ you, if you have ANY issues, they are not helpful, they do not care about their employees really...they provide you with 2 annual outings and that is supposed to make up for working you like a Hebrew slave, not giving raises, not having your back AT ALL, should you have ANY issues! The head of HR is a freakin joke! All smiles in your face when you are hired and upon taking the job and signing the paperwork, she replaces the ink pen for the knife that she will slowly turn in your back! They tell you that there is an "open door" policy but try to discuss an issue that you are having with management, they will dismiss you quickly because of course, management can't possibly be at fault or wrong! I appreciate a few of the folks that I met working for them but I am sorry I did not take my other offer...if they offer you a job and you have options, RUN FOREST RUN...if you must work for them, keep your resume updated, continue looking and if you receive another offer, TAKE IT!! Someone in a different review mentioned working at USGS...those are some miserable folks there and again, slave mentality for the contractors! One of the Apogee managers there seems to have a problem with minorities but they will never admit to it and Apogee will not do anything about it.

I have been with Apogee for 4 years and worked as a contractor for 10. I have worked for 3 PMs on different tasks within Apogee and never experienced any of these issues. I am not at the corporate level, nor in a management or leadership position, so I am not taking sides. I work offsite, and have never felt that management didn't listen. Each government customer site has its own nuisances and Apogee program managers and Directors do the best they can at navigating each customer's policies and expectations. There are plenty of opportunities for growth as I have personally experienced.

Great place. Great people. Great leadership. Great vision. Great execution.

Apogee has been great to me. Company culture and employee outreach programs are amazing. Very ambitious company I'm proud to be part of.
