The cashier was very helpful and gave me all the details before hand. The recommended time to do all the exhibits at a leasurely pace is 3-4 hours but I arrived pretty late so a couple of exhibits were closed. Despite this I could see a fare amount of the animals inside even though almost all of them were in their shelters. I managed to do the whole circuit in a little more than 1 hour but it takes a bit of running around.

The @penheul remains a nice park. My daughters, 3 and 5, again enjoyed stray monkeys. They love the playground and the merry-go-round. Time to get closer to the monkeys. For example walk through loft. Or paths such as in the Amersfoort animal park.

So I was very disappointed with the park. The money was not worth it, especially because it was 46. It was said that the monkeys come to the people's shoulders and jump around in the trees, they were not allowed to touch them and they did not entice them to come in. There were plenty of places to eat since you even saw more of them than monkeys , And the prices for the food are already very high.

The park is arranged so that you have 1 simple route; so you almost automatically at every "stay" of the different monkeys.
At about 3/4 of the route the monkeys walk / swing loosely through the park and they can suddenly stand at your feet. We took about 4 hours on the route.

This is an amazing zoo, everyone should visit. It's world's apart from any other zoo I've visited. You could easily spend a full day here and still have stuff to return for. There was a fun interactive feature where children could explore hand sizes, tool usage, food choices, limb length etc and loads of fun playground equipment spread throughout for the children to enjoy. Our three were shattered at the end of the day!

Unique zoo with lots of loose monkeys and quite a lot of play options for children. Nice feed shows. Beautiful green location with very large monkeys / islands for the monkeys (no cages / bars). A short walk from the parking lot, but through a beautifully landscaped forest park.

This is a very fun and educational experience, the staff are very friendly and the animals look well cared for.
Unfortunately they will soon close for the winter season but, I will definitely go there again next year with the family

Apenheul is a great place to enjoy the whole day among the beautiful animals. There are many different types of monkeys that sometimes run free. The park itself is very spacious and so they have enough room to move around. There is a large parking space next to the park. Tip pay on busy days in the souvenir shop.

We were with our twins (16 months old) in the monkey park. You can go for a walk in peace, in several places you have the opportunity to eat and dwell in playgrounds.
The park is in a very well-kept condition, one would think that would be open only recently.
The size of the enclosure is in places really impressive.

A little tip, with the Ruhrtop Card you pay only 50%, children under 2 have free admission.

We wanted to go to the Apenheul to touch the stalls and then we are there and then it is not allowed and then we search on the site it is in small letters that you cannot touch them by the RIVM puts the largest on the front page

Fun, casual hiking trail with plenty of entertainment for children: the stray monkeys are very exciting. From animal species to animal species. Interesting and appealing. In terms of breaks / play opportunities also great response. The lunch menu has both healthy (salad) and snacks. Something for everyone.

just fun

We really enjoyed this place a lot. Kids had a lot of fun. Besides finding monkeys walking freely around, there are also some playgrounds and interactive areas where children can have a lot of fun. Sadly due to corona some of the areas were restricted but it is understandable. Still, we spend quite sometime in this zoo. Just at the entrance you will find this huge and amazing playground. If you come with children, get the 5 euro children bag, it will make the visit even more fun. So bring you own food or enjoy at the available restaurants. After 4 pm you can buy freshly oven baked pizzas.

Great disappointment. Very busy, if there was a stray monkey in the neighborhood, there were 20 people around it. Nice park for families with children up to 8 years, not above. I was there with a daughter of 18 and a son of 13.

Fun for young and old! They have several species in the park and in many areas there are monkeys freely roaming who might like to jump in you to see if you have anything in your pockets. Nice playground in the middle for the kids. Be aware that it is a longer walk from the parking lot to the entrance.

Very nice! Especially the first part where the cheeky monkeys walk around. Unfortunately, little to eat for people with a cow's milk allergy. They have an allergen card when they bake, for example, they bake the frikadels in the same fat as the cheese soules. So bringing your food yourself is handy.

Even though the weather was rather typically Dutch with rain and overcast for a large part of the day we had an excellent time at the Apenheul. The kids loved all the monkeys on display and throughout the park they were able to pick up quite a lot of educational tidbits and information. We got some really fun pictures and will definitely be forced by the kids to return in the future.

The death's head monkeys were by far the favourite with the children because of their inquisitive demeanour and cheerful behaviour.

Lovely green garden to walk through. On the way all sorts of questions about the monkeys and other animals present. Very nice park, especially with children 4 - 10+ to do the tests. (y) Feeding the gorillas was a very nice show.

Enjoyed watching monkeys, the animals roam freely even have enough room to pull back away from people and the freedom of a Happy and Holy great environment. Also plus points for their role in helping and preserving apes and monkey species worldwide.

Super fun day out with the family. It was hot today but there was plenty of shade and the monkeys were all clearly visible. Clear explanation, plenty of benches and great food for sale. Simply well organized and friendly staff.

Always nice to go but as in all parks much too high prices for food and drink. You see families with the wagon walk with everything and that should not be necessary.
From the photos they make of you, a part is black and white and part is printed in color. Color costs 7.50 and black and white 9.00
Almost no one takes them and then they are torn and thrown away.
Why not 5.00 you sell a lot more.

Beautiful park with great stays. The park is very suitable for photography because of the green stays, the monkey areas and the lack of fences. The staff is friendly and you can borrow a bag for free to protect your belongings and ensure that the monkeys do not steal your food. Unfortunately, not everyone does this and monkeys always come very close (especially in prams) to steal food and that is of course very bad for them.
