Great holiday lights display! Adorably tongue-in-cheek light scenes, great for all ages, and reasonably priced.
Great holiday lights display! Adorably tongue-in-cheek light scenes, great for all ages, and reasonably priced.
Nice walk and play area for little kids. The recycled art center was very nice for all ages. Sculptures were ok. Can become very humid outside. Some art work was still being installed inside, so the interior wasn't very interesting, except for the recycled art studio.
Went to craft show there nice venue lots of neat items really good prices cool outdoor sculptures
No better place. So worth the $8 we paid to get in. We went during a Halloween trick-or-treating event. Absolutely loved it.
What a neat little gem slightly off the beaten path! The art installations are varied, and the walking trail is a nice little loop to get some steps in.
Beautiful little Forrest area with all sorts of sculptures. Cool place to walk around with the kiddos.
The lights at the holidays are beautiful and they have a scavenger hunt to keep the kids engaged. The fairy and gnome houses in the spring and summer are adorable. Mixing art and nature is a great idea.
Loved it great for walking lots of sculptures as well.
No flower gardens, but interesting sculptures, nice art exhibits.
The Christmas lights are fantastic, always worth the trip
We were impressed with most ofvthe displays here. Start off inside the art museum, then go over to the butterfly exhibit. We walked the path around starting on the left. most of the sculptures are beautiful and the displays outside in the wooded area keep the area cool but if you stop too long the mosquitos will remind you to keep moving.
The Fairy and Gnome' s house are scattered about and make for a neat scavenger hunt. Be sure and pick up a map at the entrance, the staff was very helpful, everyone from the cashier at the entrance to the cleaning crew, they were all polite to my wife, I appreciate that.
A beautiful place. During the Fairy gnome festival, the lines were Very long. There wasn't a Event map. A map for the Fairy gnome house was available but no way
to find the individual activity's scattered around the festival.
We visited with our 20 month old for the Christmas Lights and it was spectacular! We didn't bring a stroller because she walked through most of the loop or we carried her. Live jazz trio indoors and did some dancing and holiday pop up shops available where we bought some bracelets. Will return in spring for art.
Great relaxing environment with beautiful art to enjoy for the whole family.
Had a bicycle birthday party there. Loved it and the staff was helpful. Definitely recommend it to everyone
As an artist myself, I had wonderful time observing a variety of artistic talent of all genres.
Anne Marie Gardens had a very peaceful, relaxing ambiance which allowed me to fulling take in, and appreciate every artist who had the courage to show the world what their souls are made of. The actual garden was very serene, paths within the trees, revealing here and there beautiful sculptures. I would go for a return visit, place my own art on display there, and bring the family to enjoy. Did I mention they have a free art lab, fully equipped to express your own artistic wanderings for those of all ages.
Nice and relaxing place to go and walk. The Garden in lights show in December is always enjoyable. It gets a little crowded at that time of year. Still worth going. They offer hot chocolate and a varity of snacks at the concession stand. The hot chocolate is always nice and warm after a brisk walk under the lights.
Pretty small compared to some sculpture gardens in large cities. However, for being in Southern Maryland this is a great way to spend an afternoon. The garden has nice paths to walk on and see all the sculptures. There are a ton of kids activities as well.
Well worth the visit. Had a few friends who are sculptors visit so took them here and they couldn't get enough.
I really enjoyed my visit at the AnnMarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center. It is very dogfriendly. I went inside the building with my little dog to pay my admission. The restrooms are right next to the receptionist desk, and the lady was so friendly and helpful. It was a warm welcome. I explored the garden first. The walk through the garden was relaxing and I love the large scale sculptures, and there were some small individual art pieces displayed around the garden. There was a 2 level house that reminded me of a tree house. It is a very fun garden to visit, and if you have kids, they will probably enjoy it, too. Don't forget to bring your dog(s). After walking around the garden, I went back to the museum with my little dog. With her in my arms, I explored the arts center on the 2nd floor. It has some interesting artwork. The day I visited, they had some crafts vendors in the garden. It was a treat to get to shop around, too. I would return to this garden again.
We had a great time at the sculpture gardens. Perfect outdoor social distancing adventure. We got there late only had 30 minutes to explore but definitely worth going back.
Well done ! Art that makes sense. Modern and not over the top. Peaceful clean and the magic of wilderness.
Enjoy their trail (about 1 mile) with a variety of sculptures and short side walks. Many interesting things throughout the walk, it is perfect for young kids, but great for all ages.
Beautiful grounds and great artworks. Easy parking, well done paths. Worth the visit!
best walking trails and Halloween ride ever. beautiful art and o e of the best wedding/party/celebration locations in Calvert.
This location was very beautiful. I'll definitely be going back
Very nice Christmas lights display but staff was rude to me and several other people coming in.
Great place for young children. They enjoy finding and exploring the fairy houses. A nice collection of outdoor sculptures from the Hirshhorn collection. A playground of miniature structures for the kids to play in along with other scalable structures. It can be a bit of a drive depending on where you live. The kids can get restless.
Marvelous venue for a broad range of artists. Nice gift shop and wonderful grounds.
Artfest was great outside! Too bad they have rude people inside working...
The lights an scavenger hunt was fun an exciting. I will take my family back next year for the Christmas light walk
Nice shaded calm outdoor art. Great for children. We come every time we are in the area.
First time to see the winter lights, they are amazing.
A nice place to take a walk. The trail through the woods is paved. Keep your eyes open for neat little artistic surprises like fairy houses and painted trees.
Lots of great art many local artists on display, and many works from the Hirshorn.
A tranquil oasis filled with art, a lovely wooded trail and plenty of fun for kids.
Cute place with cute display everywhere...we enjoyed walking here while geocaching ..we had the whole place by ourselves and took some cool pictures
Well worth the $4 admission fee. The walking tour was nice and relaxing and sculptures were quite interesting.
I brought my 3 year old son here and he absolutly loved it. He had fun running around and exploring. My wife and I also enjoyed the various interactive sculptures. Defently recomend for anyone with kids looking to expand there mind.
Just a beautiful place. You can tell the people employed there really care about the place.
The sculpture. The art in the gallery. I hated the mosquitoes outside. They were rough.
Had the best time at the Christmas lights. Everyone had a blast. The shops were nice. The food was good and the music was great.
Good location for kids for events like the Fairy and Gnome festival.
Such a Great Artfest even with the COVID RESTRICTIONS, Thanks Annmarie Gardens for another great event!
Mud Day all day!!!!!!!! Every year, family oriented event and a genuinely unique place. It's a little bit of drive from my city but it's nothing compared to the experience, then hop on down to Calvert cliffs to finish off a great day
Such a beautiful place and great to take family to their events
Love love love the programs and events. A must visit for locals and visitors
Out of the way, quiet, pleasant, no large crowds. Some nice artwork, okay sculpture. A little more oriented toward children than I expected. Reasonably cheap.
On a return trip, the elevator was broken. They confirmed that it was broken, but apparenently had no capacity to fix it. At least they gave us a refund.
Very pleasant sculptures to look at. A nice hour-long visit!
Not a lot to see but a great place to spend a few hours
I've only ever been here for the light show around Christmas and this was the first time I've been in years. I love the changes they made. The last time I was here was maybe 17 years ago and it was something you drove through, which had its perks (climate controlled environment), but ultimately forced you to go a certain speed so that you didn't hold up the people behind you.
Now that you walk through it, you can take your time and really enjoy it. Just dress for the weather and bring some hot cocoa! There are lots of themes and it's fun picking them out. My 4 year old had a blast picking out Pokemon and marvel characters and chasing the lights on the ground. I think the coolest part was the white screens with the three colored lights and the colored shadows they produce!
Every year we see the xmas lights and they are lovely.
The holiday light show is great, and don't forget to check out the artworks in the indoor gallery
Beautiful outdoor venue for our wedding. Indoor area was huge and good for the food and music
Awesome space for kids. Hours of fun and exploration.
Really neat on a nice day for outdoor family time. Bring your walking shoes.
Halloween in the Garden is a 4 year tradition with my daughter, she loves it every year.
Such an awesome walk around the grounds with beautiful art!
The garden is an excellent family outing. The design is user friendly and alit if fun. I went with my teenage grandaughters and college student grandson, it was awesome and a precious memory, not expensive, staff very helpful and warm. The hot chocolate is very good, but it could have been hotter.
This is an absolutely beautiful park and so much art talent. I found it to be extremely peaceful
I wasn't able to spend enough time there but the walk thru the woods with the interesting sculpture wad great fun.
Such a great place to visit! Events are always expertly put on.
Christmas lights were nice. Cost to walk through was a bit on the high side.
