I adopted Matcha (Lovebug) last year, in 2019. She is my best friend, my familiar, and my fur baby. We have formed such a loving relationship over the year! She loves to cuddle, play, explore and even walk on a leash! I'm glad I went here to adopt her. This included spaying and their shots, and I bought Matcha along with a kitty starter (litter box, toys and a pet bowl set) for around $100! This was honestly one of the best purchases in my life. You will be so happy stopping by and picking up your BFF.

Went to adopt my cat back and they insisted I had the wrong cat. Who are they to tell me who ny cat is or isnt. Same physical features u can't deny that. I'm very upset one of my neighbor let my baby go outside and they were like oh give him time to come back, he's been gone for a week already and was found .7 of a mile away from my home and yet they are still insisting he's not mine. Very poor customer service I would not recommend to go back there ever again.

We had a wonderful experience with the staff at the Animal Protective Foundation. All employees were very professional, kind, and caring to all of the animals that they have rescued. The staff answered all of our questions and were very accommodating. We brought home our 9 week old kitten, Phoebe, last week, and she will forever be part of our family. We are very grateful to all of the staff who gave us the privilege to adopt her. The day I picked her up from the foundation, we were given bagged kitty food and treats to bring home. They also spayed her, and gave her age appropriate vaccines, to ensure that she was healthy. We would highly recommend coming here to rescue your pets. Thank you to the Animal Protective Foundation for all you did to help us in the process of adopting our happy and healthy Phoebe! :)

Terrible workers. My cat was lost and a lady found him and brought me here and they won't give me my car back when I have proof of ownership. They are all rude lady's and we making me pay for him back when I already paid multiple other times

This place is horrible do yourself a favor and don't donate your money to this people. They killed snoggles and are working very hard covering it up. To the point they wont let people ask about it on FB and removed the rating option in FB and removed blocked anyone that question their practices. Also asking Yelp to removed the negatives reviews. If an organization is not doing anything wrong why are they working so hard on keeping this wonder cover? Ask yourself are they hiding ever more wrong stuff from the public? Stay away from here, also keep your animals way from this place. Half of the people that run this place guiltiless asses.

MURDERERS!!! You killed Snuggles/Pinky when her family tried to bring her home!! You killed a cat that was loved by three little girls!!! Money hungry animal killers!!! There's a very hot space reserved for you in the afterlife!!!! Shame on you, Steve Caporizzo, for looking away and helping evil continue their agenda!!! #justiceforsnuggles #shelterskill #apf #animalprotectivefoundation #peoplefortheethicaltreatmentofanimals #animalcruelty #animalshelter #spca #animalrights

Very nice they fixed my cat and she did wonderful very minimal scar I can't tell where she had her surgery. I also adopted a cat and it wasn't meant for our family (not good with small children) and they took it back after we tried what we could to get her to adapt bit at least they helped. Wonderful staff and just a great place

They r very caring about our cat Blue. Blue had sores on his neck and they call us to let us know what was going on. We were thankful they noticed. I felt bad I forgot to tell them about the bumps I had been feeling. You see in July I had a stroke and I forget things. So I was glad they noticed them. So I say they are amazing people at APF. Thank you for loving blue like he was your family member

I prefer to go here whenever I need a cat fixed. I like that they fix cats 4 days a week and therefore do not take forever to have an opening. When one of my cats was having slight complications from getting fixed (not their fault- I had her spayed while she was in heat), I got a quick response to the email I sent after hours.

Great place to get your forever Friend. Looked at Cats only as my Wife and I want to maybe add another 1. We have 2 now but lost 1 in October. If you are a Senior you can adopt 1 for Free. So if you are in the area and looking for a Friend stop by and consider adopting one as you will not be disappointed. Your forever Friend.

I unfortunately had to put our sickly 5 month old shepherd down and they took him for cremation with loving care and professionalism. Price is unbeatable and they offer a cement pawprint for $25 extra. Highly recommended for anyone who has lost a loved pet and want to keep them around the right way

I pray they don't give any rescued pets from the storms to this APF. Remember what they did to Snuggles. This place is more about salaries than animals. Please read the bad reviews, they are true.

Very efficient clinic for fixing our feral cats. Staff seems compassionate. For a $50 donation, it's far cheaper than getting your feral cats fixed by private vet. Thanks to Scruffs for their contribution in making it all work out.

Don t try to return a cat because he doesn t get along with your cat! I did that then tried a year later to adopt again, I was denied! Because I returned a cat! Guess I should have dumped it on the road! Have since adopted 3 other cats from other places with no issues!

Most traumatizing experience of my life! My boyfriend and I had separated for few days after an argument, within those few days my boyfriend had decided to take my cat to this shelter to get back at me, (mind you perfectly healthy no problems what so ever 5 years old playful and happy) only 2 days later went to back to find out she's been euthanized..!!!. I hope you pieces of garbage get put down in the same manner you cold hearted ruthless devils

Brought a stray cat that was injured and was told there was no vet.The girl Molly informed me that if I left him they would put him down. They didn't help at all gave me a paper with 100 vets numbers for me to call and find him help. I will never go here again or donate to this place. They say they help animals right so turn away a injured cat that is bleeding from the face they call that helping I think not!!

APF took great care of my pet at more than reasonable prices and the staff was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. A pleasant experience under not so pleasant circumstances. Thanks APF!!!

I adopted two kittens in August and the lady and staff were super nice. About a week later I brought back one kitten because she had some problems and they did as they told us they would when we adopted them.

I was dropping my kitty who had just passed away to be cremated. I was treated with kindness and dignity. They were very respectful of my kitty and handled her body with such care. I left feeling at ease with the whole process.

This animal shelter has a hard-working set of staff, clean facilities, and a clear dedication to the animals they take care of. There is plenty of parking. Their website is always updated with the latest animals available for adoption. They have a large outdoor area where they exercise the dogs daily with volunteers. Adoptions are usually quick, though if you need an animal spayed or neutered it may take a week or more. You can also purchase small pet items like toys and leashes here. I would recommend this location as one of my many for finding your best friend

I took my 18 yr old pit that bff ad died to be creamated. It was a single cremation instead of getting back his ashes I got back gravel mixed with ashes .I know the bag they gave me is not my Capone I had another dog cremated before and there was never chunks or anything in it but ashes they didn't even give a death certificate for the dog and they didnt put birth date and date of decease on urn.And they had him for over a week people I highly do not recommend this place for your pets final demise if he hadnt died on the weekend I wouldve never taken him there.Rest in peace my beloved Capone whereever you are Mom and Joy love you and so does Nick Sylvie and Ruth.Love you my sweet angel. After I wrote this both the director and the person who put my dog to his final fate called me to let me know this is how NY does things and was very apologetic I now know that if you want something special for your dog or pet you have to asked the lafies at the desk dont offer to tell you about all your options and about the different urns and you also have to request a death certificate for your pet they don't automatically give you one but I accept their apology and teachinf me how you have to do things in NYS.Thank you for calling me back and letting me have the opportunity to have my beloved Capone have a certificate and a different urn. Please let people know all their options.Thank you again.

Best dog trainers! The trainers are so knowledgeable and truly love training. The trainers here are the only ones to get my difficult dog to listen. Great training and they take it serious. Also great place to rescue a pet or make a donation to.

Left several voicemails about adopting a particular older cat over the span of a week to both the adoption coordinator and the main desk. Never received a call back, despite leaving my number clearly several times. Finally able to visit in person during business hours and was still able to adopt that particular cat within an hour with no hassle, although I was surprised that she was still there. They even lent me a plastic cat carrier when my new pet attempted to tear her way out of the cardboard one. Toys and beds seem to be cheaper here than at a pet store, and they accept donations of pet supplies and food. Overall I had a great experience in person but the phone thing just really irritated me. While I was in the office I observed the front desk answering the phone multiple times, so I know it works.

Absolutely amazing place. Brought my kitty there to get spayed and microchipped today and they were amazing since the moment I walked inside. They were in contact with me via email and sent me updates on my girl. I would highly recommend this place!!

Got a crazy but cute kitten....he unfortunately came home with worms... infested the rest of the fur family. Cost me $$.... Some staff in with the animals needs to have better knowledge of the animals. One girl was especially bad with people and animals.....I'm hoping she's just new.

I was late dropping off my kitten to get spayed, yet they still took her. She had not had her rabies vaccine, but they said they would do it! Very friendly staff that take good care of our animals.

I'm looking for another pet to adopt. I've seen pictures of animals. I've read a lot of the reviews positive & negative. I am well adapt to care for animals. Right now I have 3 cats & 1 dog. (lost dog of old age this past year). After thinking & reading of these posts, I decided very carefully NOT to visit this facility. YOUR facility needs to be looked into with a fine tooth comb. You never know who is going to walk into your so called APF. Hopefully you will never be able to open up another place when the truth comes out. From what I read if u can adopt hurrah but, anything else there seems to be a problem. OHH don't be upset with my posts as far as I know we still have freedom of speech or should I say in this day & age freedom of POST.
