I just went in to see the animals.. and i got bit by a bird. A cute one so it was worth it!!! They have lots of animal experts.. and I will gladly come back!!!

Awesome place. Sales staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Very nice selection and pricing was on par with online prices and cheaper than a lot of the larger retail stores. Not the closest place to where I live but worth the drive.

The staff here are very nice and helpful. The store is always clean the sm creatures they have on display are kept clean and healthy.

Horrible experience. Sick animals, over priced, rude staff. Someone should report this business .

Didn't have what we want but was told they do when we called

No reason to deduct a star, great place that has a loyal cast who seem to genuinely care for their animals. This is the main spot on US 19 in Saint Pete for animal and pet needs.

Everyone was very helpful and polite I had called first before I went there and they were even polite and helpful on the phone I would definitely recommend this place and I will be shopping there again. Very much appreciate them.

Wouldn't adopt a pet from here. The vibe there is a little shady...

i ordered what i was told was a 220 gallon tank and stand for $1500. when the tank came in it was a 210 gallon, and they raised the price $100 and would not refund me since the tank had already arrived.

We bought a cute goat here as a surprise for my mother. Unfortunately my mother could not take care of the goat. The manager Steve refunded a good portion of my money and the food and hay we purchased from them. He did not have to refund anything as we had the goat for a full week. Excellent customer service and will buy here again. Thanks!

11 year old reviewer: I didn't want to leave!A huge selection of pets; best variety of reptiles and amphibians we've seen in St. Pete. Also small animals; ferrets, bunnies, guinea pigs, and birds, birds, birds! So many beautiful birds of all types! Also fish and every pet supply anyone could want. And the prices were really reasonable! We will definitely being going back!

Everything you need for caring for your pets to bringing home new additions. Call before hand about crickets cause stock flies out the door.

This place is the best it has all sorts of stuff but they don't have dogs or cats ever it's annoying but very rarely they have cats not very much anymore so I would give them a five but I can't now

Great little pet store. We have purchased a few reptiles from this store and have had no issues with anything.
Staff is usually readily available, knowledgeable or able to find answers, and friendly.
Store is a little cramped sometimes but it is not a huge building.
Parking is decent and close to store, mostly shaded.
Always have what we are looking for, usually crickets but occasionally other stuff.
Some of their items are overpriced but I guess that is somewhat expected since it is a small independent store.

Best place to see baby animals. Great selection of food for all sorts of companions.

I LOVE ANIMAL HOUSE. I purchased 2 cockatiels, a bearded dragon, a ball python, and 4 tetra glow fish. They are wonderful and a great family business. I visit once a week to purchase food for my babies. In issues they will make sure whatever it is, is worked out and everyone involved leave HAPPY and SATISFIED. SEE YA'LL SOON.

The physical contact you can have with ALL the ANIMALS

Place is awesome they have big variety of animals,,the people working there are very helpful and friendly. Id say they better than a petsmart or petco and they cheaper with same brand items.

They are ok better than chain pet stores that treat their animals poorly. Please remember to do your research when you buy a pet I always join Facebook groups so I can obtain the correct information because every animal has its own needs that need to be met most animals require large cages too so please refrain from buying critter trails and tiny cages that is not adequate care :)

*PRICES ARE HIGH* I love their variety of pets and you never know what you ll find when you come here but the prices on toys or basically anything you d need for a pet are high! We would sometimes come here and hope to find a good deal on a rope toy or something and you d almost laugh at the prices. I will say it seems like they care about the animals they sell and they always have something exotic like chickens, ducks, quails, turkeys, pigs or goats. Something for everyone! Buy your pet here but get stuff for them somewhere else.

Love going to the animal House and passing with all the animals they have, it makes me want to buy them all and take them home with me and have my own animal House

Stein for very knowledgeable in their departments. They will help you find what you want or need. If they don't carry something they will help you find it on line

This is bad the need to feed their anoles! I got one and you could see it s bones!! Looks like they neglected it

Bunnies, fish, birds n cats...oh yeah.... Snakes, lizards, snails, turtles, and all the stuff you need.

The staff might be busy but they're always ready to answer questions and help as needed. Competitive prices on the pet food.

Love going and observing all the animals and birds see how well taken care of they were the staff was wonderful

Part of me likes going in there to see the pets. They have exotic pets as well as your normal pets. However the living condition for these pets range from downright unacceptable to questionable. They were selling a lionfish (I know) and it was in such a small cubical like tank that I don't think it could turn around. It was floating with its nose in one corner and it's tail in the other, it definitely couldn't swim. I did get 2 hairless guinea pigs there. I also bought the cage recommended to me which turned out to be far too small for any guinea pig.

Very nice and helpful staff and nice pets to adopt plus all the supplies you may need.

I love this place there are the girl there they help me very well I was becoming a new cat mom and she helped me get everything I need it for the cat and the customer service is awesome I will recommend this place to anybody if you're becoming a new cat mom or dog mom or any animal mom

Very nice pet store with relatively good prices. My wife and I drive 40 minutes to get there when we have 2 pet stores within walking distance of our house. I don't particularly like the fact that they raise birds there though. There are plenty of adoptable birds out there that need a good home. Other than that, they have a good variety of different exotic pets there, and you can play with a lot of them if you are so inclined.

I love their selection of chicks. Perfect for adding new chickens to my flock. And they have large meal worms 50 for $3. My chickens are always clucking happy when I bring them home!

Really sad to see how the animals are treated here, parrots in small cages, even babies being ignored by their caretaker who was also the cashier. Will not be returning here. It s a shame these places exist.

Great place with even better staff, feels like a trip to the zoo everytime I visit.

We bought a baby Dumbo rat yesterday for $15 it died this morning we took it back they were very apologetic and had us get a new one immediately and checked it to make sure that it was in good health hopefully everything will be okay

Love this place! Only bad thing I can find is that the store is rather small and gets overcrowded fast. Prices are nice, the store is clean for the amount of product on shelves.

Always friendly and helpful. Steve and his staff always support the local rescue community. If they don't have it, they will try to get what you want.

You have a great selection of various product categories (Aquariums, Reptiles, Birds, ECT...) But the prices are on the higher side. I have noticed this in particular with the aquarium supplements and fish. I paid approximately $12 for a fish that I found at another shop in the area for $2. Yes, really. That being said, I do like this store. You have some great people working here. Sometimes they get VERY busy so you have to keep that in mind when you need customer service. This is a very popular store and it can get crowded.

Stopped by to see their fresh water fish selection and I was livid with the condition they kept these fishes in. There were dead fishes all over the place. The other half of the fishes has ick ( a fish parasites), it looks like it s going to spread to all the tank if left untreated. Do not buy fishes from here, you ll infect your own tank at home.

They have an awesome variety of pets here, including reptiles that aren t usually big chain stores. The prices are a little higher than regular stores, but some of the items are worth it. Most of the employees are nice but there are a few that I don t care for. When someone says hi to you, you usually say hi back not just look right at them and walk away lol!!!

This place is awesome. They have a lot of animals that can be held, hand fed baby birds and numerous fish & reptiles. Their prices on cages and food are affordable.

I don't buy anything but I love the animals and the workers are so happy to help it's a great place to take your family and have fun

Jaime is the guy you need to talk to about fish. Have recently wasted my money and been lied to at other lfs. Jaime is no stranger to fish and can answer any problems your having. Wont go amywhere else ..

I always love this place! Lots of common and uncommon animals that customers are welcome and encouraged to hold and cuddle. Who doesn't love baby animals??!!??

My friend went to buy something for his dog,I did not want to go but when I went in, a was surprised....Super nice place,the animals are friendly,nice people around,is like going to a mini zoo.ore an acuarium,it. Doesent smell bad at all.

Love this shop, its great fun to walk around and see all the different animals. The staff is very helpful and friendly to.

My favorite animal store not only can you get a nice family pet there, but they also help animals get new homes who need them, they are always helping this furry critter in need.

A bit pricey, compared to Walmart - but of course, there's much more variety than Wal-Mart lol. Some of the employees have been working there forever - i remember some from when they were @ 62nd & 4th St N. Knowledgeable. Helpful. Friendly. I like it much better than Pet-Co.

Not a fan of this place. Yes it s awesome to interact with the animals. But the care for them isn t the best. Reptile section is a disappointment. Whether it s temporary or not, it shows the people who purchase the animal that it s okay to care for them that way. Got a baby bunny from here. Wasn t really active when I got him, notice he became less active the next day at home. Didn t change his diet. Did everything I was told. Notice his stool was hard so I was going to make a vet appointment in the morning. Woke up to a dead rabbit. I was devastated. Their sales are final so no use into fighting them on selling me a sick rabbit. I should of known better, but couldn t resist on not taking him home. Don t think I ll be coming back. If I did I d just end up taking something else home because I ll feel bad on it being there. I m sure others have great success with adopting animals from them. But others haven t and I am one.

Tons of good stuff. Stop here before driving all the way to the big chains! Found something very specific there I wasn't expecting.

Always friendly. If there's an item I want or need and they don't have it. Tgey make the effort to get it. Steve is awesome and fair.

Awesome store with lots of options to chose from. I love popping in here to pick up my regular supplies, because you never know what amazing and adorable animals they will have in store. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff and real animal lovers.
