Pastor Prevo gives a lesson at 10am with a fill in the blank follow along guide. At 11 am preached teaching with scripture. Pastor Prevo talked about going to Israel on a missions trip it would have been nice to see the actual archaeological places that the Bible talks about. There was free bread after church. A church member did make me feel welcome. There's big monitors with words that the choir is singing and it also shows what scripture the pastor is reading from. I take the church bus it's just the half yellow bus. The driver is pretty quiet. Didn't wish anyone a Merry Christmas. He did talk about a Bible versebthat said how women should serve man. In Galatians 6:7 it says whatever a man soweth that shall he also reap. The church van ministry called to see if I was going to church the next Sunday courteous. One Sunday there was pizza for the whole congregation.they didn't have communion on the fourth either

Amazing family church with something for everyone!! The services are firmly grounded in the Word. Pastor Hoffman is really great!! There's an awesome kid's program! This is definitely my favorite church and I recommend it to others. It's really a place the whole family can enjoy!

Super fun atmosphere, the Anchorage Baptist Temple is a church that desires to help people become better leaders for Jesus. Their youth conference, entitled Fusion Alaska, was one event I attended with a large group of youth. Stupendous speaker, magical magician, and multiple Grammy award-winning bands played. Youth left telling parents they heard from God!

Pastor Prevo preaches directly from the Bible and is unashamed of what it says. The church is involved in the community with outreach programs throughout the year. There is always a way to get involved in the church, whether it be in the bus ministry, the adult Sunday school classes, or somewhere else in the church. Having three services throughout the week, each being a different sermon, is great too.

Was very disappointed, for the very first time, ABT, did not offer communion at their Christmas Eve services! The choir was wearing all black on stage. I guess this is the changes that the new pastor wanted, but why do away with the communion services? Something is not right! What are you going delete next?

I attended this church when I was in Alaska on vacation. The people went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable with being there. My brother attends and works for ABT so I didn't pick them out randomly. But they treated all the new comers the same way. A large crowd with a small crowd feel.

I do love the Special Needs Sunday School class they have but I feel they don't feel they do a good enough job reaching out to adults with special needs like myself. I do love the Church a lot even with the issues I have had with getting the help I need so far, even with my issues with most of what I send the Contact Us page not getting responded to or what happened to me on the Church Facebook page. I am still happy with this Church but I hope these things will improve. I might be a high functioning special needs adult but I do matter, and the special needs ministry is the place where God is leading me. My parents don't approve of me going here but I don't care I go to the Church God wants me to go. I also think this Church could provide transportation to members that live in Palmer that need it like myself, and not just in Anchorage. I live in Palmer, and use Dayhab to go there for Church. I have had issues with some staff returning my calls, in fact hardly any calls I've made have been returned.

Willfully disobeyed the city mandate during the coronavirus pandemic. It seemed to me that they value the donation collection more than the health and safety of the community. I think they need to re-evaluate their interpretation of the holy scriptures.

Great Pastor with relevant messages that aren't sugarcoated but give it to you straight. There's Wed.dinner, and plenty of things to block your family into. If you want to be involved it's not hard to be.

I love how everyone is welcome and the pastor preaches straight from the Bible. There are lots of ways to get involved. They have a great children's ministry and still have a bus program for those that need a ride to church.

Take out your bibles and follow along with him, our pastor preaches straight from the bible. God is great, and the people here at Abt will never let you forget it. I am very thankful for God's grace and mercy, and for leading me back to church. Open your heart and give this church a chance, you will feel the holy spirit. God bless!

This church is legit. I walked in this church and felt no fear despite the media narrative regarding COVID. Instead of fearful people hiding behind masks you saw smiling, breathing humans who had the joy of the Lord in them. They don't judge you for placing your faith in Christ over masks and social distancing or even if you decide to wear a mask it's fine as well. The main focus of this church is Jesus Christ and not what's going on with COVID or the world in general. This church reminded me of EX Ministries which is at the Adamant Believers Council in Texas. This church did not disappoint. If you looking for a church that's not afraid to stand up for Christ and has no fear of the media's narrative about COVID, this is the church to go to.

I would highly suggest that this church consider becoming a non-501(c)(3) entity as this would allow for even greater autonomy.

Service was nice, i went to the church to ask for some help with a bad situation I was in, submitted an application for this and the church. Was kind enough to pay a portion of my back rent for me which was a big help toward getting me back on my feet . So appreciate this church's support in a very trying time for me.

Wonderful experience overall!

Wonderful experience overall!
We felt this truth of Gods Words here "we have unity in the Spirit with other believers"!
We were visiting from Cincinnati Ohio, our son and his girlfriend in the Airforce here in Alaska. It was awesome to hear Gods Word clear and concise with conviction and love! (Generation series wk1) We are so grateful for your outreach that our adult children (and the surrounding communities) hear Gods love, see it expressed in deed through you, and have no excuse to not pursue Christ further through your offered programs! You blessed us and we pray many blessings to you until we see you all again in Glory!!!

I attended their christmas program, and thought they did a splendid job for God's glory. I am not a baptist but I do believe in the teachings of the bible and searching for a bible truth teaching church. I love their love for God's people and reaching out to help god's people. I see the love of God throgh their smiles and greetings the moment i walked through the doors. I pray God continues to annoint the pastor and his family and the rest of the ministry and congregation. God bless you all.

Has had a new pastor since Pastor Prevo retired due to medical issues. It seems that the new pastor is still trying to find his target audience and preach to the old and new audience. Myself being fairly new to the congregation I over hear older and some new church goers make comments about not liking the message that the new pastor is giving. IMO I think it's just a matter of older church goers not liking change and the pastor trying to finding his stride. The people who go to the church r very nice and welcoming to any and all new comers regardless of how thy come to service.

Currently, I have to say that I enjoy the people and welcome that I receive going to ABT more than the message that the pastor gives. I will keep going to ABT because of the congration and hope that the new pastor finds his stride
I would recommend ABT to anyone looking to find a new church that welcomes any and all who wonder into the service.
