Really worth the drive into the middle of no where! This place is truly a mirage! Everything is really priced over the top, because you really are a captive audience- but worth the splurge for a unique experience

My wife and I stayed for one night only. After the long drive, we thought check-in was slow and drawn out (25 minutes). Our room was very nice and comfortable, good air conditioning (quiet), and good amenities. We had booked the sunset camel ride and were somewhat disappointed. We only had a ride around a valley, no going up sand dunes, so we missed the sunset. I guess no one mentioned it was at sunset but not that we would see it. We should have stayed in our room to see the sunset over the dunes. The staff are very polite and very good English and quite knowledgeable. We had drinks at the pool which was extremely pleasant. We are both vegetarian but only meals available was pasta, so we decided not to have dinner. The breakfast buffet was nice although service was slow to get coffee. It was a shame no tables were set up outside or cleaned as it was a pleasant morning and not too hot. We went for a walk up the dunes which was pleasant. Checkout was fast.
Large hotel, but still intimate and very pleasant. Personal care. Spacious room, with very large terrace, beautiful view, large bathroom. Especially view and walk in the desert very very pleasant.
Amazing resort with first class treatment! We have stayed here before and have never been disappointed, at the edge of the Empty Quarter it is an amazing resort with lots to do or nothing at all to chill. We hiked on the dunes, enjoyed the pool, dune bashing, and a falcon display. We will defiantly return for another visit!
What an amazing place it is. Worth spending your fuel and time. Beautifully contracted bedouin style resort. Although it's too costly for a stay but one should definitely go for a visit for few hours. Rooms are top class. Restaurants are really good. They have number of pool villas too. One of the best parts is the journey through the desert. It's also like a small ancient museum. They also give you a tour on a golf cart if requested.
Resort worth trying out Its presence in the heart of the desert makes you feel a different atmosphere Suitable for self-isolation and also for the companionship of a lover, suitable for a couple with their children Palatial, large and varied facilities and services A selection of restaurants and cafes A variety of entertainment events, including swimming pools, gyms, tennis courts, and others And also safari activities with pockets, horses or camels Night sessions in the desert from barbecue and ritual As for the rooms, large and spacious, and with each room, a garden and a view, it feels like a suite It is true that the residence is high in it, but it is worth all that is paid to him I recommend staying in it and trying everything inside the resort
Ok, so far the best resort I have been to. Without any concurrence. I don't know how they can deliver this perfection in the middle of nowhere. But they did. Well done!
Peacefully located in the Liwa Desert desert, this secluded getaway features stylish desert castle decorations for breathtaking panoramic views. It also has an outdoor pool, spa and gym.
Qasr Al Sarab's accommodation features earth tones and luxurious fabrics. All rooms have sliding glass doors opening to the terrace for sweeping views of the desert. Rooms also include deep soaking tubs, showers and a pillow menu.
The hotel's Desert Sightseeing Center organizes long-distance camel rides, terrain ride on sand dunes and desert walks. Anantara Qasr Al Sarab also has a tennis court and a children's club for younger guests. Other activities include horse riding, archery and mountain biking.
After a day of desert exploration, the outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers and palm trees offers guests the opportunity to relax. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a relaxing massage at Anantara Spa or try the authentic hammam sauna.
Anantara's Al Waha restaurant serves fine Arabic cuisine, while Suhail offers French-inspired cuisine. Light snacks are served at Ghadeer restaurant, characterized by an island setting with bridges over.
This desert resort is located a 2-hour drive from Abu Dhabi and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi.
Like something out of a movie set, it is really hard to believe that Qasr Al Sarab actually exists! We went just for breakfast from Abu Dhabi, part of a crazy week of sight seeing with some good friend visiting from Scotland.
I would suggest staying for a little longer than the two hours we did, although you can certainly grab your Instagram shot and go, although you will wish that you could stay.
Should be on the list of places to visit for anyone coming for a holiday in the UAE.
Oh and I should probably mention that it has been in several movies. Although I will let you read all about that elsewhere.
This is without a doubt the most beautiful desert resort property in the country.. the views are breathtaking .. the activities are fun and conducted safely .. the rooms are beautiful and Arabian rustic .. definitely take a good camera with you
If you can write that anywhere, it is here: a dream from 1001 nights. Nowhere else can you experience so much luxury and ambience as here: in the middle (!) Of the sandy desert. From the arrival to the perfect check-in to the activities on site, everything is perfect. The staff is extremely friendly, exemplary professional and - one should also mention - they feel comfortable here. The rooms are very large, absolutely beyond reproach. - I should also mention that our first room had an unpleasant smell. We were reassigned to another room at breakneck speed, the luggage was moved "as if by magic" and an apology was already waiting for us in the new bedroom. You can book various activities such as camel rides, hikes and also a great off-road trip in a jeep at sunset. The breakfast is a dream, the dinner in the steakhouse is worth its own trip. We'd do that again anytime, if only it wasn't so costly. But also understandable in view of the performance offered in the nowhere.
Absolutely stunning place an hotel. Must have to see when You are in Dubay or Abu Dhabi. The hotel is built in the Arabic style with lots of beautiful details. There is big swimming pool, few reatsurants and of course beautiful views on the desert. In the night there is a silence, lots of stars... Amasing!
The five-star hotel in the desert forte, the environment is awesome. The hotel is 13 kilometers away from the place where you stayed. ( ( ) , the buffet is very good. It is recommended.
Probably the best desert hotel on planet earth. Amazing and perfectly maintained property. Very friendly staff. Spectacular rooms with a gorgeous bathtub. Food and drinks are delicious. Superb gym. Maybe the prices for drinks and meals are a bit too high.
A beautiful resort for those looking for calm and distance from the noise of the city and loves the desert environment, but I recommend visiting it in the winter because the weather is wonderful at that time
You got to have a glimpse of this desert beauty if you are stopping over Abu Dhabi. Located in between the desert, certainly yes if you are looking for a weekend getaway with many in-house activities.
Set in the heart of the empty quaters desert area , fantastic property giving u a unique experience of staying in a desert. Friendly staff Mr. Umar. Credit to Mr. Hakkan director of sales for his hospitality and taking time to show us around the property.. thank u.. anantara never disappoints to impress..
This place is a fairytale. One of the most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed in. The dunes are gorgeous and the rooms are cozy and lavish, the restaurants offer delicious food and the service is on point. This is the most luxury hotel in United Arab Emirates
Such a gorgeous place! We spent a couple of days in Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort and really enjoyed ourselves! I can recommend every single activity I tried, starting from camel trekking at sunrise to archery and also the night walk! It was a wonderful experience to take in the desert in complete darkness, also the starry sky was breathtaking! Our stay in Qasr Al Sarab also really helped us to relax - the whole resort gives off a calming vibe. Just walk up a dune and enjoy the endlessness of the desert, and wait until the sun sets - definitely a memorable moment!
There are no words that can describe this absolutely beautiful resort set in the middle of the Liwa Desert. A perfect oasis of calm and tranquillity. The staff can't do enough to keep you comfortable and go out of their way. A picture perfect resort. We are staying here for a week, hence can make the most of doing all the desert activities as well as enjoy relaxing by the beautiful poolside.
The reason why I have given it a 4* is due to the lack of vegetarian food. Both my husband and I are vegetarian and we find that we are struggling to find good vegetarian food as each restaurant only has 2 or 3 options to choose from. The evening buffet is over priced for vegetarians when there are only a few options where as meat eaters have a lot more variety and pay the same price as a vegetarian. We have mentioned this to the reception staff a few times and there option was to order from the in room dining menu. We haven't come on holiday to this beautiful resort to eat in our room!! I feel the chef could arrange to make a couple of dishes for us off the menu as we are here for a whole week and exhausted all the vegetarian options in all the restaurants. We booked this holiday a few months back and mentioned that we are vegetarians whilst booking and if the chefs could accommodate our request.
We had read previous reviews and taken into account there was a lot of bad press regarding the food scene, being overpriced for what you get and vegetarians struggling. However, we thought since the hotel has read and apologised for its service on previous reviews they would have improved their dining experience. It looks like they are not taking their reviews seriously!
Overall we are having a wonderful time and feel totally relaxed and am sure will be ready to face the real world when we leave. However going on a luxurious holiday is enjoying the culinary experience as well as the ambience of the resort, and unfortunately this time round we have not been able to enjoy this.
Great experience and fantastic service. Booked a last minute overnight stay. -arrived mid day to stay in a lovely villa: quiet and private -sunset dune bashing: our guide was lovely (just don't eat before) -steakhouse dinner was great -sunrise camel ride: another fantastic guide and unique experience -morning sandboarding (which is a must do as soon as back from morning activity so it doesn't get too hot) -breakfast buffet was a highlight...work up your appetite with sandboarding as there is sooo much to choose from -spa for rest of the day: hammam treatment is in a beautiful facility, followed by a great massage where the therapist was of the utmost quality All around the staff makes the experience all the better...treat them well!
No words, pictures or videos can do justice to this stunning desert resort in the middle of nowhere. It was quite an adventure driving to this resort past sundown, but once we got there, it felt like we were in another world altogether. Exquisite interiors, lighting, artwork, and a feeling of royalty beckon from the moment you arrive at the gates, which are designed like a castle! The hospitality was warm, and the rooms were extremely comfortable! A plethora of activities are on hand to ensure there s not a dull moment for anyone!
