I real escape. In the middle of nowhere, took us about 80 minutes to drive there from Abu Dhabi. But when you arrive it really is an oasis in the desert. We went in summer when it was quieter and there were deals. Luckily the place was quiet and peaceful, so it was very relaxing. There were a few restaurants around the hotel, all a little expensive, but are you are stranded in the middle of nowhere they are worth it. If you do visit i recommend you take a lot of fruit, milk, cereal, etc, and keep it in your room for the stay. It is nice to be able to snack without calling room service.

The resort is big but still very intimate, the most of the rooms have an amazing view over the sand dunes. The food from the main restaurant was really good, tasty and healthy. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly. The pool area is large and comfortable. All the atmosphere was incredible. The most beautiful place in the world for me, as I met the love of my life between those sand dunes. That place has a marvelous beauty. :) I highly recommend it!!!

Was memorable experience

Was memorable experience
Great welcomed by staffs, there is villas but it's look like palace. Big glass door, small swimming pool inside the room. Around resort so many palm trees and small small plants, and outside the resort everywhere desert . From your room you can easily see sunset at evening and it's very beautiful I can't explain my experience, so If you want to see heaven in desert, must visit Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara.

Beautiful desert setting!

Beautiful desert setting!
We booked a two bedroom Villa which was wonderful and highly recommended
The main hotel section is overly busy and the breakfast is unfortunately more like a school canteen than a luxury resort.
Stay in your Villa!

No question, you have to be prepared to pay so much money for a hotel. But those who have decided to treat themselves, will be spoiled with a wonderful time in fine luxury in a fascinating desert landscape. That's really priceless

I ve been here several times , what a lovely place
BUT, I brought some friends to see the area all the way from Abu Dhabi city and they won t let us in , even to have a look unless we have a reservation! That was surprising how rude they were, didn t expect that from Anantara group at all .
Almost 3 hours drive for nothing
This made me really upset and if I would go to a retreat I wouldn t visit this place again, NEVER!
The UAE is filled with other amazing places.
What a SHAME Anantara!

This is a fantastic hotel in an impressive environment. Just a few steps and you are in the untouched desert. Seeing the dunes from the pool and the balcony is a great experience. Breakfast is excellent! service is good and staff is very friendly. The whole hotel is clean and well maintained. drinks and food in the whole resort are way overpriced in my opinion. We traveled with a baby and they brought us to a smokers room first (we booked a non smokers room). After we complained about that, we were informed there is no no smokers room in our category but they ll upgrade us to next category.

The arrival through the massive sand dunes was amazing and impressive. The hotel is stunning, a true 5 star Jewel in the desert. While it's hot it's a dry heat and much better than the humidity in city by the coast. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The restaurants have a great selection of cuisine.

A beautiful resort and definitely our favorite place in the UAE. Great facilities and all the restaurants are excellent. The quality of the restaurants/food improved greatly over the past year.
