Absolutely pathetic excuse of an insurance company they hang up on you (mind you I was asking a simple question didn t even have a reason to be rude) for no reason other than they don t want to do their job and this was after waiting 20 minutes in hold to get him in the first place.. then they want to change what they originally signed you up for directly after we purchased the policy and state they won t cover what they said they would 3 months ago. Trust me look somewhere else for insurance this company is a waste of time

They raised my mobile home insurance from 571 to 876. I have had them 5 years, and never placed a claim. They say it's because my credit rating went down. So, it's obvious this company PREYS ON PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN NEGATIVELY AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC. Explain how my credit rating affects my annual payment? Are they accusing me of being more likely to make a false claim because I have less money?. This is a prime example of how people with less means are kept down by powerful, wealthy companies.

Do not set up automatic payments with this company and when you cease doing business with them be certain to get cancelation in writing and hang on to that paper. They will 'conveniently ' forget to actually cancel your policy and continue to pull coin from your account.

this is just another insurance company that takes your hard earned money and does everything possible to avoid you when you are trying to reach them. their 800 numbers in my opinion is set up on purpose so you give up with all the "press this for that, press this for that, press this for that". I will mention to my insurance broker to please not put anyone else with this insurance company. its that bad. I dont care what anyone says. 45 minutes on hold is unacceptable. and thats with me not talking to anyone. simply just hanging up. STAY AWAY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Never had to file a claim but never had any complaint about the prompt and kind service they provided.

Took me 4 months, 10 hours of my time, to get a claim check. Communication was terrible. Company is terrible.

Do not use this company! We have been w them for 17 years. Payments in full all the years!
We had wind and hail damage to our roof! Contacted June 21 and still nothing! Now worried about the continuing rain and the singles r off the roof! Manager assigned to our claim still has old message on phone! If I did this at my company I would have lost my job! Customer service is horrible!
I feel like going to Ohio to get some type of action! Just so very upset!

They was able to work with me on payments.

Absolutely the worst insurance company for customer service I have encountered. The web page works only if you want to pay out but all the means to make a claim or speak to some one either don't work or are convoluted to the point of being useless. All of my interactions with this company over a five year period have been incredibly frustrating.

American Modern has been good to me.
The Great Flood of 2016. They were at my home before the water receded. I recommend American Modern
