There's not enough room on this review to express my experience with Tony and Jamie. Our situation with our foundation was very unique and presented some challenges. American's quote was not the lowest nor the highest quote we received. Our decision to use American as our contractor was based on their confidence and reassurance that they can help us through this ugly situation.

From the onset the project they ran into trouble. No fault of anyone but mother nature. Both Tony and Jamie reassured us that we will get through this. The processes took several months, again mother natures doing. Jamie made special trips for inspections and shoring to ensure no catastrophic failures would occur until mother nature loosened her grip.

The weather and time was finally in our favor and the American Foundation Specialist went to work. They were prompt, hard working and extremely professional. They made the best out of a bad situation for us as they could. Tony was so concerned with the outcome of the project he spent several days just supervising and advising as Jamie and the crew put our house back together. There were unexpected consequences from the weather and Tony took the time to explain the how, why and how much. I use his saying in my everyday life, "It's got to be right, it's got to look good." It is and it does.

Years of stress due to the foundation issues are now gone. My wife and I can't be happier with the results and would/have recommended American Foundation Specialist to others. They took a situation where we feared loosing the house to a place we can once again call home. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is phenomenal.

Honest, kind, prompt and very reasonably priced. I have nothing but good things to say about the wonderful job Lyle and the crew did in our basement. Lyle is so informative and knowledgeable too. Use this company for your foundation/basement issues!!!

Fantastic People, Fantastic Company. I called American Foundation Specialists to give me an estimate to fix my basement foundation per the recommendation of a foundation engineer. The first company quoted me approximately $13,000.00. When Jamie and Lyle, with American Foundation Specialists, came out and started to take measurements, he determined that the corner of my basement in question was actually only 1/8" low and not over 1" low like the engineer stated. He then reached out to an engineer that he usually works with who was highly experienced in evaluating these types of issues. The next day they came back out and met me and the engineer to look at the foundation issue. The new engineer agreed with American Foundation Specialists and reported that there was no continuing movement in the foundation and that it was likely caused from initial settling when the house was built. Since I was doing this in order to sell my house I was being forced to make this repair. This was a $13,000 project that they could have gotten from me and made good money on. Instead, they volunteered 2 different 1+ hour trips to my house to help me get a correct report and avoid wasting money on an unnecessary repair. They were not even going to charge me for their visits but I insisted that I had to give them something in return for their time. After my experience with American Foundation Specialists, I cannot imagine that there is another company around with their honesty, character, and expertise. I'm still blown away that they took a job that would have been theirs and money out of their pocket and instead invest time to help me SAVE $13,000 and get the right answers.

I am extremely satisfied with this service. I first met with Tony, who was nice, funny, answered all my questions. He was very good with communication between visits, always let me know what was going on, no BS, he told me like it was and I like that. I got a few phone calls before the crew arrived, so I always knew what was going on. When the crew arrived, they were extremely pleasant. They were extremely clean and mindful of my belongings and yard. The team leader was great, he had everyone working all the time. The work they did was great. I really can't believe they have had a bad review in the past. My cousin used them in the last year and had nothing but good things to say As well. Again we are very happy with the service and will recommend them to those we know.

This is a HORRIBLE company. Tony the owner is rude, and doesn't stand by schedules has set ups.

He contacted out work on the house we bought, and when HIS CONTRACTORS did not fix the issue THEY caused, it was an unnecessary struggle to get him to come and review the work. After he did come, and knocked out the work and expect me to fix the failed work HIS CONTRACTORS did.

After an unnecessary debate on why has company was responsible for fixing the work, he has been unable to set up a clear time frame on when they would be back to fix the work. After missing an appointment, my last communication with his was rude and again nothing was settled.

If you need foundation work done, or even inspected. DO NOT USE AMERICAN CONCRETE & FOUNDATION SPECIALISTS. Tony is rude, and the people he send to actually do the work, can't even do their job correctly.

Horrible customer service and sham of a warranty. They did some work and now I'm facing more work to be done and they are of no help. Go with another contractor.

What a scam artist! Requested just a quote but he fast-talked his way into charging us plenty for his "inspection." He is a crook of a businessman. Don't know how anyone could grant him stars. He must have some people do it for him.

Extremely rude service on the phone. I just called to get an estimate and I was greeted with very rude remarks as if they are doing some favor to me. Guess who is never hearing back from me !

Had some major work done by them on two walls in 2013 and called them regarding a crack in another wall. Tony identified the problem and recommended a solution which we okayed. Several weeks later they arrived (called couple days prior) early afternoon and had the work completed in 3-4 hours. Wall looks great, they cleaned everything up and I am very satisfied.

I am very grateful for the honesty that was displayed from Tony! I called to get someone to come out and give me an estimate because I have concerns with my structure and he was so honest to actually take the time and explain why I don t need a contractor to come out to the house and that what I need is a consultant. He even took the time to give me the number of a consultant that he knows will do right by me. I was Wowed at the fact that this is a company that is not out to get a free payday but to make sure that honesty is the base of their company and that they much rather have the customer happy, then to give them the runaround to just empty their pocket.
This is a great company and just off of the interaction that I had with them today I would highly recommend them to anybody!

I have dealt with American Foundation Specialists on three separate occasions. They braced the walls at my parents house, they braced the walls on a client s house and they performed an inspection on three of my rental properties. I have always found them to be reliable, professional and courteous. I highly recommend their services!

I was in need to have a battery back up sump pump put in. My sump pump goes off often when it rains, like once every minute. Jayme offered the most competitive price, although it took him a bit to get our job done.
I believe if you want quality done, you wait for it. Jayme is very responsive to your needs, and very detailed. He kept in contact with us even though some time had passed.
My sump pump location is not an easy location to get at. My new battery back up sump is very quiet, and it performs flawlessly, unlike my last really noisy one. Thanks Jayme and team!!

We were very lucky to be introduced to Lyle because of a referral to American Foundation Specialist from our neighbor who used them. Lyle was honest and very upfront on what work would need to be done. He explained in detail step by step the process of drain tile repair. During the repair work, Mike and his awesome crew was able to answer any questions we had. While the job was in process, Mike took the time to show us what our repaired drain tile looked like before covering it up with concrete. During our estimate with Lyle, it was brought to our attention that more drain tile may need to be laid. After inspection it was determined that more was needed. My husband and I were very impressed that Mike and his crew started the unexpected repair work after 5 pm on a Friday night non the less. And came back on a Saturday to complete the work. They left our house in good order and cleaned up well. We would highly recommend this company! Thanks American Foundation for making a not so fun situation pleasurable!!!

Had a very positive experience with the owner and the crew who performed our repair exactly as was written. They actually installed two more corner braces than what was quoted. Quick work and left the job site as clean as one would expect. Quote was lower than two others and many of my neighbors have used AFS.

These guys are AMAZING!!!!
Lyle (I hope I am spelling that right :)) came to our home the other day for what I thought would be a huge job (crack in basement flood had water coming up out of it across the whole floor). He asked to take a look at our sump pump. He then told me that he felt the problem was with how the pump was draining and that water could be backing up causing the leak. He spend at least 30 minutes talking to my husband about water flow and how to fix the problem. My husband replaced the pump right there (we have a back up) and Lyle helped him set it. He spent time with us, educating us and helping us. I can not thank you enough for helping us and being patient with us.
It's hard to find such honest, kind and patient people when there's always a buck to be made.

This was a real estate transaction, with that said one can only imagine the stress that comes along with such a major life event. We were in a time crunch and the holiday season was in full force. Amercan Foundation Specialists was one of many companies we reached out to, however, Lyle called me back the same day and was at our home the next day assessing our foundation! My fiancee and I were educated on everything from Palmer Valves, to drain tiles, gutter systems and correct downspout placement to name just a few topics we discussed. Lyle quoted us an extremely reasonable price giving the circumstances and even knocked off a large amount once he found out we were both military members! Even with closing dates and the holidays approaching Lyle and his expert team completed the project before the date we initially decided on and he was flexible with payment even after our closing date moved due to the holidays. We are extremely blessed that we met Lyle and his team and greatly appreciate their integrity, flexibility, excellent craftsmanship, and most importantly, that life events happen to everyone, and it doesn't hurt to do something nice for people once in awhile!

Great Customer service, friendly and straight to the point. We just purchased a new home and the inspector stated the basement wall was bulging at 1.5". 0.5" out of code. We called American Foundation Specialists. 4 wall measurements later I had an educational and historical breakdown of the entire basement wall and build code. Our basement wall was built with a half inch discrepancy and the bulge was not as profound as originally reported. Being a new home owner this news came as a great financial relief. If you are a home owner and want the best for you and your family call American Foundation Specialist. They will put your mind at ease and bury those worries

Had American Foundation do some work in my unfished basement and outside. They came out gave me a quote and did the work in a week. Very efficient, great work, cleaned up after them. Reasonable priced and did everything they said they would do. Had a question after the work was done and they helped me - very nice crew! would use them again.

I can't say enough about Tony, Jayme and the crew at American Foundation Specialists. They were really nice people, did an awesome job, were respectful of keeping my home and yard clean throughout the entire process. Fixed my foundation issues that two other companies turned the job down upon initial inspection. They were incredible. I would highly recommend

My wife and I were selling our home and needed help in a desperate way. Lyle and his team did everything that they could to make this as quick and easy as possible. On a Friday evening I contacted Lyle directly on his cell, and had a brief conversation. On Saturday morning he was at my home. He looked over my job and gave me a fair quote. He then expedited the beams that he needed for my job. Ordered them on Monday, and had them installed per code on Tuesday morning. Contacted Shawn in the office and she sent the final invoice, lein waiver, and copy of the warranty within the hour. AFS saved the closing date on the sale of our home, allowing us to purchase our dream home. Cannot say how thankful I am to have local businesses like AFS. All work was outstanding and they cleaned up like they were never here. Thank you Lyle and AFS. I will recommend you to anyone who asks, or needs your services.

I called to ask a question about water in my basement. Tony was very helpful and explained the entire process of foundation repair to me. He was friendly. There was no cost for the consultation or the estimate! The repair price was fair for the value of the work that was provided. I called the office late one night with a question and was surprised that someone answered the phone after 7pm! I was impressed with the responsiveness. The crew was on time and came prepared to work. The work was completed on time. The quality of the work is outstanding. I am happy with this company and would recommend them for a basement repair.

Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing and make sure it's signed. Otherwise you're out of luck with this shyster.

Overall this company wasn't bad to deal with. I asked them to install larger basement windows, They did, however they didn't do a professional job. Also they installed a Scape-well window well and didn't attach it properly.

When I began to have problems, he told me that he installed it as a favor and it wasn't covered under any warranty.

I think he does a fairly good job but won't stand behind his work.

Very knowledgeable and was a great in helping us understand foundation issues.

Jayme came for the initial quote and to measure for beams. The day of the install, I was told they'd be here morning to mid morning. They showed up about 3:oo pm and said their previous job ran long. They came in through the back door, which was the shortest way into the basement. They laid down floor protection material from the back door all the way to the unfinished portion of the basement. They passed the beams thru a basement window. (2) bricks had shifted around a window. They dug out the soil around the window by hand, and reset those bricks. I can not tell that they even did any work outside as they did a great job of cleaning up. They stayed until the job was complete, about 7:30 pm. Joe and his crew worked very hard and I'm very happy with the result.
