Started off fine for the 1st yr I live in apt building $60-$70. 2nd yr $200 need I say more do the math I'm leaving this company thanks for the 1st yr. Kick rocks on the 2nd yr I want be doing it too much for me.

Do not go with this electricity company they are extremely awful!!! They over charge and their not giving you an answer of why, just talking in circles. I'm just frustrated!!!
This energy company is a scam. They tell you that you won t have to pay a termination fee if you cancel one month ahead but that is a lie. The bill for a one bedroom is $75 which is a scam when other companies charge $40. Upon getting charged the termination fee hardly any of the people you connect with speak English. They do not understand what you re saying half the time. DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM.

They disconnected my services without letting me know prior. After calling it was a result of a miscommunication error on their part. I now have $200-300 in groceries that went into the garbage. I tried asking them for some sort of a reimbursement but was denied. Please avoid this company!
By far, saving a minimum of $30-40 a month from my previous provider. That's easily $400-500 a year back in my pocket. Happy customer here! Saving money is always a good thing!
Worst Electric service provider. Do not subscribe to their service. They will disconnect your service without prior notice and it takes them 24 hours to restore your service. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE FROM THESE PEOPLE!
I left direct energy because of gradually rising energy bills and after the first year with ambit they said my plan is coming to an end and I must renew. All of the options were more expensive than my current plan so I guess this is a polite way of running off customers. Goodbye and thanks for the first year.
Mult-level company tries to get sell power to you get sell your friends and family and pay a signup fee to sell electricity.
Horrible company ! NEVER get service here! I paid for and put in an order through ambit 2 days ago. I was told I would have service the next morning. It is now 8pm , 40 degrees outside & Oncor is staying they never received an order from them!! They do not return phone calls. If you re smart you ll get any other electricity provider BUT THEM!

I had been told about Ambit and their services for quite some time. The other day I finally reached my breaking point to exit with my current provider after being ripped off for so many years. Since I ve switched over my bills are at least 100$ less a month. I am shocked at the amount of money I m saving.
ZERO - NEVER get these CROOKS as your electric provider, they double charge and are RUDE, but no way out when you have a contract. I run NOTHING, keep the air set to 90 degrees , have ta 440 SQFT apartment with NO washer/dryer, how can my bill be SO HIGH. They don't care when you call them, just say you are under contact - AWFUL people,
Usually my bill is around $70-100, this month it's over $400.00 somehow. I called customer service thinking there was some sort of misunderstanding. The first rep I spoke with hung up on me in the middle of finding my information. I called back, and spoke with Rep. Abigail. Abigail informed me that I was no longer under their contract as of May this year so the rates go up. I told her I can understand that, but $400+ in a matter of 3 weeks?! I live alone in a 1 bedroom apt, there's no way I could ramp up that much. Not to mention we are in the middle of a pandemic and I was laid off. I'm very disappointed in this company right now. Everything was fine until they tried to milk money out of me.

This company is very disappointed company I have a contract for a year I m single I don t even use electric except tv and fridge but they charge me $175 for a month for one bedroom and I don t even use ac a lot I m a truck driver I come home every 3 weeks and I m still paying the same amount for a year please if there is better than this company let me know don t wast your money at this company you will regret like just happen to me please be careful

After years of paying our bill without issue- no disconnects. They disconnected our service without notice. This month we distributed the payoff of the bill over separate pay periods. We got busy and forgot the last $40 while preparing for a family outing- day trip. When we returned home 18 hrs later our power was turned off without the requisite 10 days notice, as mandated by the state. They not only charged us for diconneting the power they also charged us for reconnecting the power and asked for a $120 deposit. The total reconnect fee was 85% of this months bill- $225. Despite years of prompt payment this was how they treat a reliable customer. I really miss the days when businesses valued their customers. Sure it was our fault for forgetting, but to treat us like this over such a small amount of money is upsetting.
I am so happy I switched to this company. I ve saved thousands thanks to their free energy program. Best decision I could have made.

I promise, you re better off with most other providers in Texas, especially TXU. Customer service might as well be nonexistent; switching to Ambit has been nothing but an extremely costly inconvenience.

Worst customer service ever! I called to renew my contract 10 days before end and the agent forgot to renew it!. So they charged me a high rate for the remaining days, when I called to asked why they said couldn't fix the rate. They always do that, trying to get more money when it's time to renew the contract.
have been with Ambit for YEARS and have never had any issues. I just received a $600 energy bill because they "didn't have those services at the time your plan expired" and said I should have received a paper notification. I did not receive paper.This is insane. A loyal long-term customer should not have to pay a half a mortgage for their phone bill because the company didn't call the customers that have expiring plans. What about paperless customers?I guess they don't do that anymore? If they did, I didn't get it, and now I had to pay a $600 energy bill when my bill is normally $179. if I could give zero stars I would.

I have been a customer with Ambit for 6 1/2 years now. When I first got signed up I was told about free energy when you refer friends & family to Ambit. It took my family 6 months to refer the 15 people we needed to get an energy credit every month to our bill. 6 1/2 years later we have put an extra 9-10k back in our pockets from our energy credits. Make sure to find out about free energy! It s amazing and we are forever customers
The worst service I've ever known. They charge you even for breathing, I do not recommend it to anyone. As it is possible that I live in a single room apartment, I spend all day working outside, I only arrive at night and I get the bill at $ 337. And the people who answer you by phone don't solve anything.
Before you sign up with Ambit look for other providers. They are the worst ever. They will come up with all kind of excuses to charge you as late fee...this fee...that fee. They are a rip off.
