Amazing Grace Community Church Review

I attended a funeral 9/27/19 and had a poor experience. Senior pastor used incorrect names several times, didn't play 2 requested songs and didn't allow 2 siblings to give tribute to their sister. The service was cut short 20 minutes, which caused unbelievable pain to the family given the above. The police were called due to the inability
and non-attempt of the Senior pastor to deescalate. They blocked the family's negative review. I do not recommend this church.

I have use this church for more than five years to do upwards to 100 services if not more. Pastor Kent is amazing and I have never had a single family complain about the service they provide. I have read some reviews on here that I think I have more to do with the funeral director then the church itself. Being a funeral director myself I know that family dynamics can get way out of control sometimes and it sounds to me like family dynamics played a huge role in how this service was ran. I can t say for sure what happened because I was not there...but what I can tell you is that in all the services that I have done in that church we have never ever had a single issue or complaint. I feel bad for everyone involved here because it sounds like the family had a negative experience and it sounds like maybe the director should have done more to organize and accommodate the dynamics of the family. In all my years of experience with Kent he has always carried out the instruction set forth from my arrangements.

Very disappointed in the church and pastor Ken's service for a funeral. The pastor would not let the family speak. Pronounced the family's names wrong, and didnt bring up her father or niece and nephew. When. The mother tried to speak up and say something at her daughters funeral and was told no. That also goes for the brother, sister, husband, and anyone. At the end of the service the pastor asked for volunteers to carry the casket instead of already having 6 people ready. If you want to make a hard time even harder then this is your place to go
So disappointed in thg he way the family was so disrespected by the pastor and his team. I pray this church takes these situations more serious for the next family.

I have never attended such an unprofessional, unsympathetic, rude funeral Mass in my life! Pastor Kent was drinking a glass of gin during the service, dropped the microphone on the floor and kicked it under the stand while speaking. He didn't pronounce one siblings name correctly and didn't even acknowledge or announce the father of the deceased. When the mother of the deceased tried to speak up because things were " just not right " he yelled at her, gave her the look of death then called the police. This man should NOT be speaking for the Lord AT ALL!!!! The Family is even more distraught after this service let alone losing their loved one.

Worst funeral service i ever attend. i feel terrible for the family who had to go through such a hard time of loosing a loved one then having a terrible service to boot.

Pastor Kent gave such a comforting service and he s also very good to talk to if your struggling with your loss.
The church is just as lovely as the staff, good parking and handicap accessible.

Felt very welcomed and this church is on fire!! Thank you Jesus They help in so many areas for the community from a food bank, youth program, helping others through Jesus!!!

They had a great service. Hopefully if I am back it's for other reasons. The pastor is great.

Have been there twice..both times was for funeral services.. the preacher is very good and very understanding for when people are hurting.

I liked going here but they have changed the way they do things and so now I end up getting a bunch of stuff I can't use and end up throwing it away

A small local church located in a residential area..Nice old time feel..

Please choose another church for your family's funeral! They ruined our our family's services and we will never get another chance to redo that!!!!! Pastor rambled on for 30 minutes with his lame, scripted, money making speech then refused to let anyone else speak at the funeral!!! Then proceeded to call the police for simply "talking loudly" what a joke. This is the most ungodly church I've ever been to.

It is a church anything less than 5 I'll catch a lightning bolt
