I bought a fridge through a local rep. The fridge compressor went out 10 months after purchase. Called them up and their solution is to make me wait for a part they dont even have for up to 14 days. I asked the supervisor Lisa if she would like to live without a fridge for 14 days and obviously she said no. So the bottom line is this company doesn't care about you or their products they are all about the money. Pathetic what garbage they are pushing out and lack of customer service. I will have to buy a new fridge. They just lost a customer will never buy another Whirlpool product.

This 5 star rating is for the very kind security guard, Steven,whom I just spoke to on the phone over an hour ago. Whirlpool does not have a voicemail system in place,which makes it very difficult to reach anyone,from HR to Supervisors. With that said, I can understand the reason behind not having voicemail, considering how big the organization is as I could imagine how time consuming it would be for upper management and Supervisors to retrieve and respond to each and every voicemail. In the meantime,it makes it challenging to reach the appropriate personal when necessary. . This is where Steven,front lobby security guard's light-hearted, polite and caring personality shines through. I wasn't in the best of spirits when I made the call the first time and the second call wasn't any better. . That was until I spoke with Steven. The old saying, " One may not remember what you said,but they will remember how you made them feel" and that saying is very true,after speaking with Steven,front lobby security guard,at the Middle Amana Whirlpool plant. So a big thank you to Security guard, Steven! Bravo on your amazingly positive and professional phone etiquette. You were doing your job,and a great job at that,but I thank you for being "human and so kind". You Sir, went above and beyond your job duties and I hope someone in upper management See's this and you are rewarded accordingly. Steven not only answered the call with a smile,he exceeded by ending the call, leaving me with a smile on my face and an entirely different outlook on the situation,in which I was calling about. Kudos!

Whirlpool/Kitchenaid/Maytag has the WORST quality ...

Whirlpool/Kitchenaid/Maytag has the WORST quality and customer support I have experienced in any product category. I spent $10k on KitchenAid appliances for my new home including a $1400 refrigerator and a $6k range. Within 18 months, the refrigerator requires new gaskets for all three doors since the originals have cracked and no longer seal. A gasket is $140 a pop for the part alone! So $420 for gaskets plus a couple hundred if I want them installed, or almost half the cost of the refrigerator. The left oven on the range forces a loud heat exhaust fan to run for >10 minutes after the oven has shut off, and has done so since we first got it. They contracted a service company to come out and look at it a year ago, and he said that's just how it works. After not using the one oven for a year, we decide to call again, and they explain it shouldn't do that; however, we still have to pay $95 for someone to come look at it again. I write a bad review, and they finally call back and say they'll cover the parts and labor for both issues and sincerely apologize. I'm now feeling ok. Then service company shows up and says Whirlpool will only cover parts, not labor. I have to call AGAIN, and this time a new lady says they won't cover labor despite what the other person said, and there was nothing I could tell her that would change that. So now I'm stuck with another $150 of diagnosis and who knows how much labor to fix what I thought were high end products from a reputable company. Wrong on both accounts I guess. I would NOT recommend any Whirlpool brand to anyone again.

I called twice having problems with my gas stove p...

I called twice having problems with my gas stove purchase and was put off the first two times. Today I just had it with the darn thing so I called again only to be told I was two weeks off my 30 days able to return, although I had been told 90 days. I am so upset. This is THE ABSOLUTE worst stove I have ever owned. You barely move near the handles and the stove goes on, the burners don't function properly...on the larger burners its either raging high or pretty high. I burn everything and the oven is off as well. Its a gas stove...who burns food on a gas stove? Well, I do now. Ugh, disgusted. Worse yet the whole putting me off...I have to let the whatever burn off, which gave an awful smell and smoke...ok nope that didn't work...I had to let it self regulate...nope that either...try not to stand in front of the stove like I'm supposed to cook from the side? Only to find out they really just wanted the warranty to run off. I should have just brought it back like I had wanted because now I am stuck with this awful thing that makes me hate cooking anything. I was just warming up soup while typing this...yeah, burned to the freaking bottom on low. Don't ever buy a Whirlpool five burner convection gas stove...ever. And don't buy your appliances at Lowe's because their company ethics are not in the best interests of their customers. I can't believe I fell for it.

Trailer lot is terribly pitted, pretty sure I saw someone in a lawn chair with a fishing line in the water after the last rain spell! Lol Pretty busy, lots of truck traffic, however the people are friendly and courteous. You do not want to get stuck trying to leave during shift change though.

I have been very disappointed in Whirlpool custome...

I have been very disappointed in Whirlpool customer service and their products. I bought an electric range last summer which already died which they said was the control panel. I have been waiting for 5 weeks for the part to come in. I have had to make several calls to Whirlpool and Westside Appliance who does their warranty work getting conflicting responses about where this part was. The warranty technician has been very rude and discourteous. We scheduled an appointment at the end of the day which they would not keep as they said they cannot promise a certain time even though they had told us this could be done. So we continue to wait!!!! Whirlpool products do not stand the test of time (not even a year!) and provide poor customer service!

Just like all the other negative reviews. The guards are rude and unprofessional. We can see where Whirlpool sets their employment standards with the company allowing this hostile and unethical behavior.

They dont care about employees. They have an extremely high turnover rate. You can and will be easily replaced. They offer no sick days. No PTO. If you have a stomach bug GO TO WORK. If your wife is having a baby you better be at work. If your a little late coming in they will dock your pay half a day. You have ZERO chance to get health care as you can never take a few hours off for appointments. They DO NOT accept a drs note. This is the absolute worst company to ever consider working for.

In my own opinion this place is not a very good place to work my wife left the amana whirlpool location to move states put in her notice and was told she would get paid out for her remaining vacation on her last check. On the 20th of March her last paycheck did not have her vacation time on it so we called corporate they said they would figure it out it is now the 30th of March and we called them and they said with amana plant being closed they don't know when it will be fixed . That's why if it was me I would choose to work somewhere else they want you to put in notice when leaving and work every day but they don't want to pay u out for your vacation that you earned.

I bought a dishwasher a little over 2 years ago and it no longer works. they have a giant sticker on the front that says made in the USA. They will not fix it because it is no longer under warranty. They should make products that last longer than 2 years.

This is an excellent place to work. Whirlpool Corp takes great care of its employees by offering excellent benefits and maintaining a focus on Inclusion and Diversity. There s a great culture of acceptance at this plant. Despite it being a large factory with roughly 3,000 workers, management cares about each individual and tries to leverage unique talent. There is a lot of opportunity within Whirlpool!

One of the worst experiences I had ever!!! Sent to...

One of the worst experiences I had ever!!! Sent to dock Friday night as a live load and forgoten there.....to be unloaded Monday. CH Robinson gave us conf., telling delivery until midnight friday. My dispatcher called and been told it's 24hrs receiving. I called,too and security told me to be until midnight, because they close until monday. I was there 21:38 and put on dock 21:50. BOL was taken. I was moved to different dock "because they are very busy, but there I'll be unloaded fast". Saturday morning I realize, that the plant is not in operation until monday and there are some maintenance engineers. Thanks to the professional reaction of supervisor Fred Fisher and supervisor Jessica Christopher (she was off, but came to the plant immediately) I was unloaded and spent rest of my weekend as a human being! I wish there will be punishment for these very unprofessional and inhuman receiving supervisors, that sent me on dock for 48 hrs without notice, paperwork and access to toilet and food as a piece of s***! I wish there will be more humans and professionals like Fred and Jessica! Only because of them I'm leaving a star! Thanks Fred and Jessica! Onlybthe best! I'm proud with people like you!

Super disappointing experience with our dishwasher...

Super disappointing experience with our dishwasher. After our 12 year old and originally less expensive dishwasher needed replacing, we decided to spring for a kitchenaid 3 years ago. We were very optimistic that the additional investment would be worth it. Today, we received a quote for $650 to replace the wash motor and the control panel! 3 year old machine and repairs costing just under what the machine originally cost. That's just NOT OK. To top it all off, due to covid, it appears we will be washing dishes by hand or eating off of paper plates for 6-8 weeks as there are no dishwashers to be found anywhere in local stores. I will not be buying a kitchenaid again and will certainly NOT be recommending any brands in the whirlpool family to my friends. Such a huge bummer!

easy place to work in. getting into shape before coming to work in a factory labor filled job makes work itself soooo much easier. and hold on to your personal days for they are very important. it is somewhat true about appointments and such are sometimes hard to make, but they do offer other shifts. take a night shift job if you need your days free for appointments.
