Whirlpool/Kitchenaid/Maytag has the WORST quality ...

Whirlpool/Kitchenaid/Maytag has the WORST quality and customer support I have experienced in any product category. I spent $10k on KitchenAid appliances for my new home including a $1400 refrigerator and a $6k range. Within 18 months, the refrigerator requires new gaskets for all three doors since the originals have cracked and no longer seal. A gasket is $140 a pop for the part alone! So $420 for gaskets plus a couple hundred if I want them installed, or almost half the cost of the refrigerator. The left oven on the range forces a loud heat exhaust fan to run for >10 minutes after the oven has shut off, and has done so since we first got it. They contracted a service company to come out and look at it a year ago, and he said that's just how it works. After not using the one oven for a year, we decide to call again, and they explain it shouldn't do that; however, we still have to pay $95 for someone to come look at it again. I write a bad review, and they finally call back and say they'll cover the parts and labor for both issues and sincerely apologize. I'm now feeling ok. Then service company shows up and says Whirlpool will only cover parts, not labor. I have to call AGAIN, and this time a new lady says they won't cover labor despite what the other person said, and there was nothing I could tell her that would change that. So now I'm stuck with another $150 of diagnosis and who knows how much labor to fix what I thought were high end products from a reputable company. Wrong on both accounts I guess. I would NOT recommend any Whirlpool brand to anyone again.
