Opinion rather mixed for me, yet used to the station for many years. Nothing to say level tracks and villages, I still like "my" station.
On the other hand, what about packages that are constantly increasing.
52 today? !!! I do not understand how is it possible to increase to this point.
Yes there are improvements, but since always ..
Personally I can not afford to ski with my family for a whole week in Alpe, as before.
And it's rather sad.

A resort which has known its golden age but which is no longer worth much.

We want to believe that for safety reasons the sections at altitude are closed but it is not admissible that the first section of the DMC is not open during the day while other lifts at the same altitude are open.

An application and a website which are not up to date or even false.

In short, a resort that should be avoided if you want to ski.

Too bad the spot is pretty.

Legendary climb of Alpe d'Huez: the 21 turns. It is possible to have a diploma to officialize its climb on foot or by bike in exchange for 1 donated to an association at the Tourist Office. Plan to come a long time in advance if you want to keep the Tour de France riders looking for the finish.

We all know this place and we have vibrated with each of the ascent ramps and the downward curves. Visiting it is like being in a familiar place, everything brings back memories of the heroes and the cycling feats that you have seen on TV and that have happened here.

Absolutely unsuitable for snowboarders, there are ...

Absolutely unsuitable for snowboarders, there are a lot of black runs marked on the piste map, but if you are on site and ski these "black" runs, these are mainly draw pieces. Generally black slopes are not steep but simply unprepared slopes which are not difficult as black slopes should be but are annoying to ski. In addition, I couldn't ride at all on 2 days because the wind was too strong and therefore ALL lifts except for 2 tugs were closed. In addition, the huts are just overpriced (Viennese sausage = 15 , cheap burger without meat = 22 ) and the staff in the huts and at the lifts is very unfriendly.
So in conclusion, the ski area is not to be recommended, I have had very bad experiences here.

Off-season skiing and without snow we discover the mountain disfigured by skiing and infrastructure that require the slopes and snow cannons. The hiking trails are not well marked and do not allow for off-piste skiing. Some beautiful natural areas preserved however if we forget the pylons met to get there on foot.

Do not go up to the station, you will not find a parking solution, due to construction sites and the construction of the gas plant of tomorrowland winter! In addition the heavy snowfall of the past 24 hours will not help .... stay away!

Great winter sports resort

Great winter sports resort
Everyone finds its way so the ski area is big
Located at 1850 m, this resort is almost always snow-covered.
And there is the Sarenne, black track of 16 km starting from the Pic Blanc culminating at 3360 m ... to do for good skiers.
I recommend.

A town hall that persists in destroying the value of the station. As many co-owners (for us at Eclose) we see since this term an incredible harassment of tourists "modest". Suppression of car parks (for the benefit of luxury hotel programs), foolishness verbalisateurs of the police. In short, the only topic of discussion in the morning coffee, the plums of the day. Not to mention the Belgian festival (tomorrowland) which privatize half of the remaining parking from January 15 to March 15. I am really ashamed to see this massive destruction (that is, many tourists will never come back). Go your way, the region does not miss welcoming resorts for your HOLIDAY !!!

Amazing place to be on holiday. 70 slopes, night skiing, bunch of bars and restaurants, very beautiful view, one of the most famous places and highs in Tour de France history. You never gonna regret if you visit that place.

About Alpe d'HuZes

Alpe d'HuZes: A Journey of Hope and Inspiration

L’envie de se retrouver, de prendre l’air, de profiter, de rattraper le temps perdu … L’Alpe d’Huez est la destination des grands espaces... These words perfectly capture the essence of Alpe d'HuZes - a Dutch charity organization that has been making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families since 2006. With its unique approach to fundraising and community building, Alpe d'HuZes has become one of the most respected and admired organizations in the Netherlands and beyond.

At its core, Alpe d'HuZes is all about hope. The organization was founded by a group of friends who wanted to honor their friend who had died from cancer by raising money for cancer research. They decided to organize a cycling event on the legendary mountain climb Alpe d'Huez in France - one of the toughest challenges in professional cycling. The idea was simple but powerful: participants would cycle up the mountain as many times as they could in one day, while raising money for cancer research.

The first edition of Alpe d'HuZes took place in 2006 with just 66 participants. Since then, it has grown into an annual event that attracts thousands of cyclists from all over Europe and beyond. In 2019 alone, more than 4 million euros were raised for cancer research through Alpe d'HuZes.

But what makes Alpe d'HuZes truly special is not just its fundraising success but also its community spirit. Participants are not just there to cycle up a mountain; they are there to support each other, share stories and experiences, and create lasting bonds with people who understand what it's like to be affected by cancer.

This sense of community extends far beyond the actual event itself. Throughout the year, participants organize various activities such as training sessions, social events or fundraising campaigns - all aimed at bringing people together around a common cause: fighting cancer.

But perhaps what sets Alpe d'HuZes apart from other charity organizations is its focus on empowerment rather than pity or sympathy. The organization believes that everyone can make a difference - no matter how big or small - and encourages people to take ownership of their own contribution towards finding a cure for cancer.

This philosophy is reflected not only in how participants are encouraged to fundraise but also in how funds are allocated towards research projects that have tangible outcomes rather than vague promises or marketing gimmicks.

In addition to funding research projects through KWF Cancer Research Foundation (the largest non-profit funder for scientific research into cancer), Alpe D'huzes also supports various initiatives aimed at improving quality-of-life issues faced by patients during treatment such as psychological support programs or rehabilitation centers.

Overall, if you're looking for an inspiring example of how ordinary people can come together around an extraordinary cause then look no further than Alp D'huzes! Whether you're an experienced cyclist looking for your next challenge or simply someone who wants to make a difference – this organization offers something truly special that will leave you feeling inspired long after you've crossed that finish line on top of alp D'huez!
