The staff was welcoming and understanding, decent space. I would've liked a grab & go bag but not this one. All in all, it's a nice place to stay.

Had a reservation for overnight stay, room is beautiful, but there was 2 problems with my stay: 1-Someone was knocking on my door at 2am but I did not answer and hotel took my deposit. I reported both to the hotel front desk and nothing was done then I reported this to my bank which give me a full refund, I will never go to this corrupt hotel.
I made a complaint and review about security that was on duty on the night of April 9th through April 10th between 12am and 12:30am. making false claims about me smoking in the room and now the Aloft don t want to do anything about it and told me to settle it with my bank but it is a different amount that was approved from Aloft Harlem. My bank told me that I need to file a claim for identity theft so that they can investigate who stole my money at the Aloft Harlem Hotel. I don t know where they get their security from, but security stole my money. I already spoke with someone from the Aloft and they said they don t see any extra transactions nor any cleaning fees so they don t know how I got charged from the hotel. Unless someone had client access. The only other people that have access to the computers are security. This isn t good because hotels are also based on trust. If people can t trust their identity with you, then why should they come here and stay and do business at a place they don t feel safe at?
Very dirty and badly kept hotel. The rooms had rose petals from the week before. There a better cleaner motels. There was no microwave in the room, there was an ironing board but no iron. Unbelievable. Tried calling fronk desk and phone un yhe room didnt work. False advertising on the internet. Should not be called a hotel. Not worth the price the charged. Do not recommend this disg
Excellent location close to great restaurants. Safe, and close to 125th street subway. Roughly 30 minute ride-share from LGA.
My first visit to this Marriott concept. Nestled between buildings in this Harlem neighborhood near Columbia University. The hotel is nicely done a contrast of light and dark. Most amenities shut down cuz of pandemic. My room left a lot to be desired although good size needed so maintenance and some furniture that looks as if they picked up on the curb. Heater was loud and blew cold air regardless of setting.
After reading some of the recent reviews, I was very concerned. After my 1 night stay, however, I can say I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the exterior is a little shabby, and the entrance leaves a lot to be desired, but everything else was wonderful. The young woman who checked us in also checked us out. She was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The evening crew was kind and helpful as well! The room was spotless, and the bathroom was updated. We are Columbia parents and expect to stay here often!
The sheets and pillows had stains and were not clean, the room smelled weird and did not have any wash clothes. Other than that, the workers at the front desk were helpful and polite.
Clean place has a refrigerator in room no microwave.... Great spot ... Ni e people at front desk has an elevator to get down to the lobby. Has a place you can buy snacks by the lobby.
Really nice and cute hotel. Pretty quiet despite the fact that they are sold out every night. Everything looks neat and clean and almost like new. Front desk is really helpful and polite. my only critique would be the crowd of judge and mouthful people sitting around that do nothing else then to saying nasty stuff after the guests who are passing by. It's a big minus.
