I currently reside at Airmark Apartments managed by Allied Residential. As you should know first impressions really do mean a lot. I took a tour of the residence and the rooms back in March. At the time, the complex seemed to be pretty vacant which was telling. During the tour we talked prices as I looked at the selection of 1BR, Studio, and Small Studios. While taking the tour I realized I was only interested in a 1BR. All being priced significantly lower than the local market the agent also mentioned rent pricing is negotiable at time of signing the lease. All this seemed "too good to be true". Yes there was a catch, monthly rent prices were crunched because they were offering first 10 weeks free. Although the tactic was a little deceiving, financially that wasn't a problem. The problem lied when it was time to sign my lease they had my monthly rent $100 more than mentioned. Classic bait and switch, desperate for tenants once I called them out on it they immediately changed it to the inflated price mentioned during the tour. After that, Shannon (Property Manager) insisted that's the best they could do. Contradicting to the leasing agent, she mentioned monthly rates were not negotiable. The mindset of maybe getting a better deal quickly left my mind to save the headache from the tone of her voice. I later realized they took a month off my leasing term to offset the $100 they deducted from monthly rent. Again, a very deceiving tactic.

Today, Shannon (Property Manager) banged on my door to inform me I was late on rent but due to covid there's renters assistance. Proceeding to hand me a form I quickly reminded her my rent wasn't due until the 1st of next month per leasing terms. She then crossed me off her list and said she will make note of it in her office. I then questioned the organization of the office because that's a pretty unprofessional mistake to be made. She insists they are organized and tells me to have a good day. After, I mentioned there were issues with my account balance regarding parking charges. I showed her I was being overcharged and she dismissively handed back my resident ledger and tells me I should be charged an extra $30 although that's not what her subsadaries promised. Her Leasing agent made not of it in her system I should be charged the exterior parking rate. You would think as a manager you would honor what your staff is promising but that's not the case here. Just like the monthly rent mishaps, everyone's word is contradicting. While she's walking away I suggest that she should have a mask on. She replied "don't tell me what the f*** to do". I'm perplexed at her response and inform her of unprofessionalism. She then yelled, "Shut your d*** door". Again she says "have a nice day" but says under her breath. "Your broke black...". I didn't hear the rest and I'm glad I didn't. GREAT, not only am l being exploited but also racially profiled.

It also made me really uncomfortable she was closer than a foot in front of my face with no mask on. I'm not sure if Allied Residential mandates their employees to wear masks but we are still in a PANDEMIC. I have family members who have died from the virus so it's really hurts to see the insensitivity of individuals who don't follow the rules and procedures.

In my experience of being a tenant I realized no Aesthetics, Location, or Amenities can make up for terrible service. Unfortunately, outside of Janice and Shannon (Leasing Agent) this apartment complex has a very poor property management team. The staff always seems to have a bad attitude as if they rather not be there. Even something like this can be overlooked if they wouldn't let it affect there behavior towards tenants, however that's not the case. After you move in it seems as if it's always a hassle for them to answer a question, fix a key card, give access to the gym, etc. From my observations this probably stems from Shannon's (Property Manager) contradicting, combative, and condescending behavior. It looks like this may be a long 8 more months.

Well a bit skeptical . They took over some problem properties in Kirkland this month and I cannot find actual e-mails for the Allied staff I want to contact. My mother lives in one of them. They did though deal with No HOT WATER the first day and did a nice job getting hot water back as fast as I think possible.

If this place could get zero stars, it deserves maybe less then that. Don t move here. They don t answer the phone, the children are loud and the parents don t hardly discipline. Rude neighbors, definitely a highly wicked environment, very oppressive, children yell right outside your front door. Disrespectful to personal property, trash is always a mess, and Venessa the Fairwood manager is rude and very unprofessional. Her quote, Jacob if you don t like it here then move out . Move somewhere else.

UPDATE!!!

UPDATE!!!
Management has added patrol to the property and finally seeing big changes. Hopefully looking to a better future for this property. Keep up the good work Jessica!

I am currently a resident at City Views. I want to start off by saying that Jessica, has been fantastic, and deserves a raise and anything else she can get, because she goes above and beyond to try and solve issues here. However, it is clear she doesn t get much help and nothing goes up too higher ups because nothing has been done at this property to ensure safety and security as well as the building integrity. There have been no security cameras at all within the complex or in the garage which is absolutely unacceptable. You are responsible for the safety of residents here and that is a huge issue. There have been multiple break ins, affecting multiple units including multiple units on our floor and there was even a stabbing in a unit on the first floor and nothing was done to ensure resident safety. THIS WAS IN FEBRUARY OF 2021! How do you expect us to live in a place where we have to carry pepper spray in our garage because people prop the doors open by shoving plastic bags in the key hole to prevent it from latching. There are domestic disturbances here at all hours of the night that we can hear loud and clear. There was a break in in January we heard about in which multiple cars in the garages were hit by a break in and there was not a single thing done about it to prevent it from happening again or help residents. Then on February 26th, I go to the garage and discover that my car had the passenger window smashed and was broken into along with multiple other cars in both garages and one was STOLEN. It is supposed to be a secured access garage and this stuff has happened more than once with upper management turning a blind eye and not doing a thing to help residents. There is a literal blood stain on the carpet from 5 days ago (03/05/2021). I don't ever want to come home and find a puddle of blood outside my apartment. I truly fear for my life at this building! Dog feces have been left in two different stairwells and not cleaned by anyone for weeks. The conditions here are disgusting and nothing is being done about it. Multiple residents doors have been attempted to be kicked in, there are people fighting and screaming in the halls multiple nights a week, a child sleeping in the floor of the hallway for weeks, there is so much going on here it is absurd to think anyone would allow a complex to be ran this way. I have never, ever lived at such a horrible, unmaintained building. There is garbage piled up in the garage all the time, there are constantly busted pipes and other issues, and the smells and mess everywhere are absolutely revolting. There are multiple things not up to code, my oven electrocutes me every time I use it, and you leave all this for two men to take care of instead of getting people in here to take care of the building and ensure the safety of residents. Stu is an amazing Maintenance worker and does WAY TO MUCH. After having our car broken into, for which we were told we had to pay out of pocket for with no help from Allied, which is absurd when this happened more than once. We are forced to break our lease and move to a safer complex somewhere else because nothing is ever done here to fix the place or safety issues. We have been responsible for so much money in repairs due to the lack of safety and our utilities are ridiculous because there are leaks in all the windows and the exhaust fan and our water in the toilet. This has been a nightmare! I shouldn't be paying to live in a place like this. We love our unit and it is a shame that due to the lack of proper management we have to move to another place just a month after arriving in Seattle from Texas.

Mgmt for one of their properties ignored police, phone calls, 3 break ins after my son lay deceased for two weeks in one of their units. She even deleted the calls. Do not recommend renting from their properties. I quote the manager when I asked her why she did not abide by landlord tenant laws and her answer was I hate my job. Is that what any person would say to a mother who just lost their child? His car, wallet, and many other things were stolen. All lost. Allied has offered no recompense for such a dereliction of her duties. A non resident got into the locked building and kicked his door down the first time. Who knows who broke in the other two times. And yes, I know nothing will bring my son back. But he didn't deserve this.

The only thing I can say is someone is using their name to try to scam me with a fake check on Craigslist. I really don't know anything about the company. I can't really rate them. I never used them for anything.

This used to be a great property management company. Recently they've become completely unresponsive to their renters and actively making life more difficult for us. Don't rent from these people.

I worked for Allied about 15 years ago and just came back this year. This is a great company, not a corporation and you are treated like a member of the family. Tons of support, training and appreciation given from the corporate staff. I'm glad that I left for the experience of working for a large corporation but I'm really happy to be back with a company that knows and values all of their employees at a more personal level.

They said to call the police on their staff if they commit harrassment, discrimination and degrading remarks then take them to a mediation hearing. Wierd... it'd be better to accept formal complaints I would guess but Allied Residential doesn't accept complaints from residents on their own staff. Whatever...
