Nice! I was in the back, but could see the entire production
The facilities & staff are excellent!!! And Ride the Cyclone was phenomenal!
Saw EVER AFTER at the Alliance. Wonderful play! Incredibly talented cast. Highly recommend this place
As an actress or a patron of the arts the Alliance always leaves me wanting more. Classes with Sharon Foote are always a joy and although I didn't like him initially the other male teacher whose name I can't recall grew on me as well. The performances for kids are always a great way to expose little ones to theater in a fun and interactive way.
This was the first time I've been to the Alliance Theatre in years and it is just as amazing as I remembered. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the theater itself is beautiful. I had such a great time that when I got to the lobby after the show (Ride the Cyclone - you should definitely see it if you can), I immediately looked to see what the next show was and when. I can't wait to come back!
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was fabulous. The auditorium is nice, nothing fancy. It's the music that counts anyway, and that was simply wonderful.
My kids love the classes. They learn so much and meet other kids that like the same things
Had an amazing experience with my family. Saw Ever after with my mother in law and hubby .
You can dress up and also you can go casual as a normal day.
Love this Theater! A Christmas Carol is a must see for the holiday season.
Baton Bob and I have enjoyed many experiences in this beautiful city of Atlanta. But Christmas at the Alliance Theater is ranked at the top of our list of favorites!
The new Coca-Cola Stage At Alliance Theatre is an elegant shining star added to Atlanta s art scene. The curvature of the rich wood design is intriguing. There is an intimacy with the stage from every and angle and individual seat. The acoustics are mesmerizing once you realize there are zero microphones. Ever After was the perfect opening musical to showcase Its fine qualities. Bravo!
Fantastic renovation! Beautiful and interesting and pretty much every seat is good to see the stage.
Had a wonderful time today, even my husband enjoyed himself. Will be returning!!
The newly renovated theater is beautiful. I don't think there are any bad seats.
Lovely venue. Stadium searing so could see performance from orchestra level
We saw a Christmas Carol. The show was great and the stage was beautiful. Very nice venue.
We took our one year old to the theatre for the very young performance of hey Willy, see the pyramids . It was awesome and she loved it and was engaged for the whole 30 minutes. The building is a bit of a maze so make sure you ask for help finding the right theatre.
Came here for a preschool field trip. The play was awesome and since it was during the day, no one complained about a bunch of 2 year olds running around!
Great productions and very professional setting. Best quality is the diversity of the shows produce at this newly remodeled theater.
I love to support the arts. Live theater is my fav. I try and catch 2 shows a season at TAT. 1 of the 2 always being
"A Christmas Carole". Nothing can beat
"This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want. Beware of them both, and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy, for on his brow I see that written which is Doom, unless the writing be erased. Deny it!" That is just fantastic! Holds true in todays times.
I saw BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK. It made me cringe. And it made me laugh. It s a glimpse into a moment in history - American history. But, I don t think this play could be more contemporary. Of course, racism still does and will always exist in some form somewhere. But, Lynn Nottage delivers that ugly truth with a sense of humor and poetry that seems fresh, like we ve come out on the other side. I remember watching Arthur Treacher embrace and comfort a tearful Eartha Kit. I was too young to understand, but still I could feel this raw emotion clashing with the bright circus colors of The Mike Douglas Show. Vera Stark is about the different roles she played in life and on the stage. And maybe that we all do that. I loved the play. But man, I loved the production from the very first moment. Especially the first moment.
The parking is horrible and the staff member working outside (security guard) was rude.
One of the best regional theatre companies in the US. Have seen some great shows that ought to be on Broadway like maybe happy ending & Becoming Nancy . The new Coca Cola stage has great sight lines & amazing acoustics. Their black box space is excellent too.
Enjoyed the MAC annual meeting here and got a back stage view/tour of the theater! Awesome space.
All I can say is.......wow!!! I saw the musical play, Ever After last night and the theatre is amazing!!!! The play was awesome too!! But great location, parking all around and the space is very accomodating!!! Season ticket holders we will be!!!
I love that they have productions especially for young children. Their Theater for Very Young is amazing if you have a really little child, and we sat through a more traditional play based on a children's book at the Hertz theater and that was amazing too.
Disappointing, probably given the lack of support for Performing Arts in Atlanta. Went for every show in the 2014 season and liked 2 at the most. Bull Durham and another, which I've forgotten. Aside from the outside of the building, the theatre is pretty basic, and the vibe (audience, etc,) seemed extremely casual vs the more formal feel that other large cities (and even small cities,) maintain. I thought that it was respectfully appropriate to dress in formal attire when attending a performing arts venue and not munch on potato chips loudly.. its okay in Atlanta, though? 3 stars vs 2- the actors are talented and the front-line staff and volunteers are great, However, this review is not about the shows themselves, yet the overall operation of the Alliance theatre. And for a city the size of Atlanta, its disappointing.
The Alliance Theatre is one of my favorite theaters in Atlanta. Great selection of plays and wonderful ushers. Love that they have a bar and concessions as well. Its easy to find a place to park and overall you will have a great experience.
This place is the perfect theater. We enjoy coming here.
FIRST TIME GOING IN OVER 30 YEARS... I LOVED IT... "PAIGE IN FULL" IS A VERY ENTERTAINING PLAY...
Outstanding venue, convenient to public transportation, safe and an array of excellent productions.
We had a wonderful time watching "Seize the King" tonight. The Alliance always puts on a phenomenal show!
Beautiful renovated space. Seats were very comfortable with plenty of space. We were attending Ever After and even though our seats were far right our view was not cut off at all. The staging of the performance was fantastic. Excellent show for kids and adults. Look forward to future performances in this great space.
Beautiful renovation of the main stage. Comfortable. Good sound. Great talent
This place is extremely overrated, rude ushers and overpriced.
We are here at Hertz Theater watching Courtenay's Cabaret. Its amazing!!!!
Exceptional Cultural and Arts Experience. A must visit.
Absolutely magical! Wonderful staff, easy to find. The show was breathtaking from the set to the lighting to the theatre itself and of course the talent. I will go back any chance I get.
I took my son to a free on camera workshop. The instructors were nice and friendly.
The inside looks really nice and has a great atmosphere. I will be signing my son up for acting class.
Wonderful time at the Alliance. Beautiful place. I'll definitely be back.
Beautiful. Brilliant. You just cannot get this experience anywhere else in Atlanta. Too notch writing, performance, and design. When is this lady time you can say that you were DELIGHTED. A sense of wonder and delight every time, leaving me grinning like a little kid.
Seating was comfortable, well lit aisles, pleasant experience.
I saw "maybe happy ending" and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! I 100% recommend visiting!
Loved the experience, One of the best toddler shows.
Awesome ! My daughter takes acting classes at this location and we cannot say enough good things about it. Thank you Ms. Elaine for a wonderful six week session!
The theatre overall is extremely nice and always well kept.
I have never been here bhut I'm looking for my top 4 placing I can do sum acting classes and I'm going to choose the best one and the one I like most. Also if there is any rude people I will not be coming back so please let me feel welcome and be myself. I'm only rating 3 stars for my interest. Thanks youuu
Great renovation! Superb production of "Maybe Happy Ending"
An amazing theatre with a great technical and administrative staff
I loved the shows and it was clean want t0 go again!
I was a chaperone for my son's PreK field trip. Awesome experience!
This is the best theatre in Atlanta! The fascility is very nice and spacious and the staff are very family oriented.
Enjoyed the performance. Dickens never gets old. Wonderful acting. A must see every year. Seating is tight if you have long legs.
Becoming Nancy is an excellent play to see before it goes to Broadway. The issues focused on in the play are relevant in today's world.
Most professional theater company in Atlanta. Often the pilot for shows that hit Broadway or national tours. Of course, sometimes a play or even a season can be a bomb. But for the last few years they have been quite strong.
Beautiful and intimate. No bad seats from what I could tell.
Very nice place. Stay was super nice and efficient.
Best place in Atlanta to visit because I went with the happy club through dunwoody.
Goodnight Tyler, Awesome! My fiance and I enjoyed ourselves! B.J. Tindal, evoked so many emotions in this dramatic, tragic, yet comedic show! The death and quest of Tyler brings up a less thought about perspective in a very controversial issue. He maintained a perfect balance between the tragedy and comedy. The Alliance Theater was nice! A great date night!
The LED lights hit different, that spinning room thing, and I loved how they would minimize the scene with the lights just right
