Alley Theatre Review

Even though they have made some updates in the past years I still think it feels outdated. Overall the performance of Freaky Friday was pretty good.

First time, but won't be the last! Excellent Performance!

Shows are interesting, venue is nice, and there isn't really a bad seat in the theater.

Went to see Twelfth Night and the way they tackled the rain and the moat were incredible! Spacious seating, well stocked bar, and clean bathroom. Definitely recommend!

Love Mark Ivy why isn't he in more productions? Terribly funny!

The special effects are out of this world, the costumes are ornate, and the acting immaculate.

The Alley Theater is fantastic. They consistently host great productions. I have not been to a bad one yet. The theaters are a good size... big enough that there are seats available but not so big that it feels oversized. I would highly recommend going to every play Alley puts on.

Good for a date night or evening out despite of the uneven acting

Enjoyed watching the live performance of A Christmas Carol.

Lastest I saw was Murder on the Orient Express. Really well done. The bartender is fast and friendly (though it would be helpful to have a couple more for intermission). Parking is easy. We are fortunate in Houston to have such good entertainment available and affordable.

They put on a good performance in a very nice space.

I went and saw a show the other night! I had an amazing time! The bartender Sonya was an absolute delight! Super sweet and had a few funny jokes!! Great theater and great staff!!

Box office has an amazing and terrific manager named Ruthie who gladdly help with the purchase of my tickets. I know we will have a great time at the Christams charol.

Beautiful theaters! There are two in this building, and they're both quite intimate. The seats are comfy, and the place is very clean.

Cute space and saw a great play! Highly recommend Quack if you can see it.

I always love a trip to the Alley. The only negative was fixed once they remodeled years ago. Now there is no waiting for the ladies room :) My family loves seeing A Christmas Carol every year, but my favorite part is the Summer Chills. We love seeing familiar faces when we go. It feels like we are seeing our own friends in the shows. And there is NOT a bad seat in the place.

The Alley always has terrific shows with great actors! The size of the theater is just perfect too.

We love going to the Ally theatre great date day. I have to say not a big fan of musicals unless it's Evita so was very surprised when we went to see Freaky Friday and it was a musical and nothing like the original movie at all we where very disappointed.

Fantastic play. Five start accommodations and the view from the balcony is mesmerizing!

Nice little theater. You'll be close to the actors in pretty much every seat.

The play, "Holmes and Watson" was very good. Our cheap seats, however, were partially obscured by some sound speakers but not enough to ruin the experience

This place was AMAZING! Very upscale theatre, top of class actors, and great drinks. I would recommend anybody to attend at least 1 play.

The renovations were oh so needed and have done it well. It still has kept its Alley charm but now with more bathrooms - and swanky bar.

There alre always at least 3 shows in their season, I am dying to see. And they never disappoint. The experience is always top notch and personal.

TIP: skip their garage parking and find street parking or park in Lyric's lot behind the Alley. It is WAY less stressful of an exit strategy ;-)

Great theatre. The shows are fun and the atmosphere is awesome. Haven't seen a bad show here yet. The theatre is small and the shows are not necessarily national shows so it's kind of like going to see an off broadway show. I will continue to see shows here. I love the theatre district and Alley is my top 2 favorite theaters to attend.

Crowdy parking spaces and no spaces because everything say "RESERVED"

My first time doing their Alley All New festival, and I loved it!

My first time to see the new renovations. Liked the quality of the seats and the spacing of the seats.

Everything was good but the parking ticket. The parking ticket did not have a barcode but we could have given the parking barcode number.

Superb acting, striking stage set with water rain thunder terrific lighting and costume design. 2 days left for this Shakespeare performance if there is an empty seat buy it!! See this play. We loved it!

We really enjoyed the excellent Saturday matinee on 9/1/2018 of "The Mouse Trap." The cast members were marvelous, the set was fabulous and it worked very well with the plotline. Not a bad seat in the house. We really like this theater and its productions. We plan to return for two more of their plays in the upcoming season.

Their production of the Christiana Carol is amazing!

Phenomenal space ... The Neuhaus Theater is incredibly personal ... you get up close and intimate with the performance ... wonderful staff and delightful directors!

Wonderful performance of "Constellations"! There's no bad seat at the Nehause stage, it's very intimate. I always have a great time here!

Beautiful atmosphere. The performances are masterful and worth revisiting again and again. Loved it!!!
