Ten years ago I had lunch at Le Doyen and it was, by some distance, the best meal I had ever eaten.
Last week I again had lunch at Le Doyen. Many thinks had changed in ten years, but many things had remained the same, not least the head chef.
The levels of service, while different in style, have maintained the same level of quality. In fact I would say the they have improved. It is now slightly less formal but equally spectacular - full marks to all the staff I met!
The food is also different but maintains the same high quality, and even improves on it.
My meal of 2010 is now the second best meal I have ever eaten - the one I had last week is now the best.
If anyone is put off by the relatively high prices, please don t be. This was, for me at least, a real once in a life time treat. It is worth every Euro!

Loved it. Old world, old money style and setting at its best with classic food with modern touches. Granted we didn't do the highest tasting menu which I have a feeling would've been more modern but at 600 we decided to opt for the middle More

Michelin 3 stars all the way! Food could not have been better! Service was impeccable and the restaurant is a wonder to see. I've been to many 3 star restaurants in Paris some disappoint (Le Cinq) but this one is a winner. Go for lunch and enjoy a walk around the area after the meal.

A truly awesome and special experience here. The waiting staff was definitely on top of their game. The food was elevated and fun to eat. A once in a lifetime meal. We got to take a tour of the restaurant and meet the chef and the kitchen team.

The location is superb, in a 3 star Michelin restaurant, not only the food matters, but the service. From the moment you enter, the experience started.

Classic style but the environment and the service are not so good. I didn t mean they re not friendly but somehow they re not that professional . The servers knocked over foods several times just in front of me...

What a fun place. Sarah (first photo) has been out server every year we come. Not only is the food wonderful - but unlike other starred, they are not stuffy and believe one should have fun eating a fabulous meal. Don't know if the their sushi bar is still open but it was amazing too

A rare high-class restaurant where the dialogue between customers, service staff and chefs is effective and smooth.
It's an ideal restaurant for customers who are accustomed to talking in a starred restaurant.

Probably one of my best culinary experience ever! The venue is just beautiful and the atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. We had the wine and food pairing menu which was perfectly executed and the dishes were delicious! Of course you pay a certain price but for a 1 star Michelin, it is definitely worth the experience. The staff was super friendly and we had a private tour of the venue!

Beautiful historical building. Creative and very good food.
The dining room located upstairs has a wonderful view over the champs elysees avenue.
The decoration is not overdone and very tasteful.
The service is perfect with the right attention without being too present or formal.
The food is creative without being crazy and very well executed.
A lovely place.
