If you go for the food, I understand. It's good. But this is a theater that pays performers. If they can pay them, they can pay for a live orchestra or pit band. The recorded music absolutely ruins the experience even though they choose good musicals. They tend to play favorites and cast the same faces, and some (only some) of those faces aren't very good. I want to reiterate that the recorded music is poor for a professional theatre. Every single community theatre in this town has live, professional musicians, even APEX, and they don't have a home venue.

That being said, the plays they put on are pretty good and worth going to see. The musicals just aren't up to the same standard despite the talent they reel in.

We've been here for a number of shows. The food is always very good with a nice selection of choices, including vegan and gluten free. There is a full service bar as well. The plays are well acted and well staged. Great entertainment!

The Alhambra is a gem. The shows are always well selected and the food is always good and tasty. I give it a 4 because food has been slow coming out in the past and the place needs a little tlc. The building is fairly old and the dining area could use some updating.

Thouroughly enjoyed the Alhambra experience. The show itself was perfect (A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline) but any show would be great in this theater. from where I sat (center stage right, second tier) there couldn't be a bad seat in the house. The menu, while limited, is superb. And the service is phenomenal. The dinner is served rather than buffet style which makes the experience more elegant. Super friendly staff overall and very attentive wait staff. There are not too many places like the Alhambra left in America, take advantage Jacksonville. Make sure you visit, at least once, on opening night. They host a cocktail party with hor dourves and champagne. Don't miss the best live theater in Jacksonville.

If you wish to visit the place with the worst food and service in Jacksonville then this is the place! By far, the whole meal experience is the worst venue that I can think of to spend good money. The show can be entertaining but after the meal the only thing you want to do is go find decent food!

My first impression of the Alhambra Theater was amazing...the moment you first walk in the doors you just get that fancy theater vibe...the first show I went to was Beauty and the Beast and it was fantastic! :) The only criticism I would have is the time they have you eat then the wait for the show...it was pretty long sitting there after eating our desserts waiting for the show to start...but in the long run I didn't mind...the service was great and I will definitely go again! :)

My husband and I dined at Alhambra Dinner Theater tonight. The food was delicious. Mike and I saw Mamma Mia and it was the BEST SHOW we have ever seen there. We are season ticket holders and we have seen many fine shows. We would highly recommend Mamma Mia to all ages! Thanks to the cast, Tod, Craig, Chef, and all involved for an excellent evening!

Always a nice experience. The performances are enjoyable and the food is tasty. If you are a picky eater they do have options including a vegetarian and gluten free meal. The show is well orchestrated and captivating. My wife and I have enjoyed many shows here on our date nights and have always meeting new people as tablemates. You have to try atleast once.

Nice facility, productions are well done (stage sets and actor quality), most seating allows adequate if not good visual of stage, parking is free, the menu, while diversified, provides many options that sound better than they taste.

This was the 3rd time we've been to the Alhambra Theater. The first time was when they had a buffet style dinner (which wasn't really that good), but the last 2 times we went the food and service was EXCELLENT! Highly recommended

This is a great place for special occasions or just for a fun date night! The three course meal never disappoints, with a variety of choices, gluten free options, and usually a flavorful vegetarian option. Very large portions, and the bar is open before dinner. The shows are absolutely top shelf! Musicals, comedies, or tributes, they never disappoint.

They was going to get a 5 star but this is the reason why not. I took my fiance there to surprise here for her birthday . I ordered flowers and bear to be at our table that night. The show was Little Shop of horrors. Great show, food, drinks. The atmosphere was great along with the staff. Well they couldn't find my order. To find out, they place my order at the table for the Saturday show not Sunday. I was hurt because I had this set up so beautiful and it didn't go as planned. But the manager called and fix the problem. Will I go back. Yes. To see the smile and hear my love laughing at the play in spite of what didn't happen. Priceless...Wonderful..
