Loved seeing the balloons go up filling the sky. Especially the lightning at night

This event is so much fun. I plan on coming back year after year! See you there!

Amazing experience, world class event. You can get right up to the balloons and watch the entire process. It s amazing to see the balloons inflate and the fields become a massive canopy of color.

It was amazing , I worked with field crew, and volunteers,, the front office all of them, great people from Paul Smith, Paul C.....etc..

Uber/Lyft Banned from Picking up At Balloon Fiesta Park

You should put a notice on your website that Uber/Lyft have been banned from picking up and dropping off in Balloon Fiesta Park. The Balloon Fiesta Commission will not provide a special route or pickup/dropoff location for Uber. Drivers are forced to drop people off at the corner of Alameda and Horizon Blvd. which is more than a 1/2 mile from the museum. Attendees will be forced to walk from there.

If they do use Uber they should prepare for the 1/2 mile walk to and from the parking area to the Museum because Uber cannot meet them in the park. This is especially important for the the elderly and disabled people who cannot not walk those distances.

Please feel free to contact the Fiesta and ask why $12,000 in profits from charging Uber $30,000 wasn't enough money for them. (It cost ~$18,000 for traffic directing so you can walk 1/2 mile)

This place will make you feel like a kid again. During the festival, I see everyone smiling and also when the balloons started flying, you can shoot camera anywhere and your photos will look good. There will be so much colors with your photos. The festival also has a Canon booth wherein you can borrow a good DSLR camera and for those who borrow, they will give you a free 8GB SD card for it that you can take home with you. Place is cold in the morning so bring your jacket for morning shots. #hotairballoons #newmexico #usa

I lived here for most of my life, and it was my favorite event to for to every year. They were my childhood memories.

This is a great experience every year. Its very well organized and always magnificent.

I went 2 years ago with my sister. I m glad I got to experience it with my son & granddaughter. I m especially thankful it was my 1st and my sons 1st time too. Unfortunately my son passed away in September 2018 and we were planning on going back to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta but instead we went to burry my son instead. I will always treasure that beautiful memory of us at the balloon fiesta.

Very poor decision on New busing drop off point for intel park n ride. The walking distance to actually get into the park and return to buses up a steep hill is not at all convenient for any person who may need to walk with a cane or walker. And to inform the people who had already bought non refundable tickets the day before that the drop off point was changed to a different location is just very poor planning on the balloon fiestas part. Before the drop off point was right at the entrance on level ground. Great for elderly and extremely convenient. Most horrible experience with the change. Had to walk up steep hill to return to the buses. Assistance could not go beyond the metal detectors. Sent several emails to the balloon fiesta coordinators never a response.

Wow what an adventure! Something everyone should do at least once !

Fun experience, even when the weather is not so good.

As an Albuquerque resident, I visit almost every year and it never gets old. People from all over the world come to this incredible international event. There's balloons of all different shapes and sizes and they are jaw dropping to look at, especially during the glow when it's still dark and all you can see are the huge balloons in the darkness. Truly, something everyone must experience. Oh, also, if you ever get the chance to ride one, DO IT! The views from inside a hot air balloon are unbelievable.

Fiesta was wonderful! We were crew on a balloon for 4 days. However our purchases in the main office were a different story. 4 of us purchased the lightweight zipper jacket in the slick gray fabric in the men's style at $60@. Horrible quality!! In three days they looked like they were 10 years old. Extreme pilling on the fabric! You need to find a different supplier. These were awful!!! Wish I had not wasted my money!

This is my 14th year going to the balloon fiesta, and it was awesome this year! The box was in effect, and the balloons were landing almost in the same place they were talking off!

Iconic balloon fiesta. Beautiful grounds. Does get very crowded, bike way is best to avoid traffic.

OMG, I can t say enough good things about this event. It was one of the most well put together large events I ve ever attended. Albuquerque is my new favorite place. Everything about the event was magical. Thank you!

What a cool event. They just kept taking off. Filling the sky with an assortment of colors and shapes. You can walk up between balloons and speak with crews. Planning an annual trip.

Believe me ...... something extremely spectacular ..... I never imagined being at an event of this magnitude ....... you just have to get up early ... and ... take your blankets ... well today it was very cold ..... haaaa ..... and ... don't forget to buy your tickets ....... blessings ......

Quite the amazing event held the first week in October. Hundreds of hot air balloons drift over our City every day. This must-see event starts every morning before the sun comes up and can be seen free at the Balloon Fiesta Field. Balloonists from all over the world attend this event, bringing their balloons with them. If you come you will see the hundreds of special shape balloons: The huge cow, the pair of bees, the stagecoach; every imaginable shape. To close the event most balloonists fill their envelopes, remain on the ground, creating a spectacular glow.

I have been involved with the Hot Balloon Fiesta since 1973 in one or another and have flown as a passenger and asst. to the pilot (during competition) several times. I crewed for about 6 or 7 years. Do NOT miss this. If it's not on your bucket list, it should be. Tip; Book rooms super early. After July, it's slim pickings. Tip #2 Park and Ride saves all sorts of headaches. Tip 3# You can chase from your own vehicle. Most pilots always welcome more crew...just listen to what he or she says.

There is nothing else like it on Earth!
This event gets better and better EVERY YEAR!!!
Balloon Fiesta Park was clean and much more easy to get into in a few years.
I enjoyed the morning sesh so much, I may go for the glowdeo this week

Hard to get to if you don't get up early and even got chased off by a Police cruiser when a bunch of us were trying to get pics with out wires. Will have to find a better plan next year as this is my first time here. Balloons as always were amazing got some great pics... will be back next year

This event is fun to go to and the three o'clock wake up call is worth it.

Arriving a week early with great hopes and anticipation of a wonderful time. I entered into a very busy welcome center, where much hustle and bustle was happening around me. Yet everyone behind the desk, around the desk and even in the gift shop took time to notice and assist me. With kindness and professionalism they took care of all my needs/questions. Unbeknownst to them they created what was to become a terrific event for me. They were great ambassadors to not only the event but also to Albuquerque itself. Well done to each and everyone of you. I will forever return the kindness by promoting you collectively every where I go.

Get ready for a world-class event. Leave early to get to the park...4am but I'm a die hard. The week-long events are worth the effort to get there, not just Special Shapes and weekend mass ascensions. If you have the time to volunteer, give it a try (sign up on-line.) Lots of perks and wonderful people.

The balloon fiesta is a swarm of attention on our entire area. I enjoy it tremendously. If there is one thing I would tell visitors is -- take the shuttle buses and bring your own toilet paper (hey, its crowded).

What an amazing event!! It is truly a bucket list item and I'm so glad we had such a wonderful year for it. Hopefully we'll make it again in a few years.
