A beautiful garden.. However, try visiting early morning. It was too crowded in the afternoon. Carry your own food. Food there was a bit expensive. Rent a bicycle and go to the nearby tulip fields. Fields looked amazing. Tickets are sold both online and on site. I got mine right at the airport. You can also take a boat ride. There was long waiting for the boats though. So, if you get there in morning, you can avoid the wait.

Indescribably gorgeous! Thousands and thousands of flowers, oceans and rivers of colours, everything is beautifully designed and well maintained. Really impressive, absolutely worth a visit!
It s great park for flowers! Particularly tulips are so gorgeous!!!!! There are a bunch of kinds of tulips! Not only tulips under the sky you can see great flowers in house. And flower arts are great!!! This park is very huge so you need to walk by yourself, no car inside. You can buy coffee and some snacks so you walk around and relax at cafe! It s no nice! You can buy good stuffed animal souvenirs here! Enjoy!!
The whole area was beautiful, we enjoyed the visit. We would just recommend not going there on 12 pm on Saturday as both the bus from the airport and the garden itself was very crowded. Worth the visit!
By visiting this place You will get to understand why do the Dutch love Tulips and this particular park is considered as a jewel of Holland. Its well maintained and it does attract lots and lots of tourists during its blooming season. When I was here the park had overwhelmingly crowded but it was still ok to visit the place. Tip: Never go to this place on a public holiday, choose a weekday so you would have the peace you want in a park. The water in the park was not fresh or had been stagnant for a while which is not so nice to look at when compared to such well maintained floral landscapes.
No 1 spot to visit in Amsterdam if you are visiting the place in Spring season ( April to May) A flower paradise with tulips in full bloom. A very well maintained garden with fascinating views. Easily accessible from the city through city tours.
It's like the flower disney! So magical, well kept and stunning. If you're a flower enthusiast, or even if you're not, you must visit. The park is pretty big so make sure to have comfortable shoes on. We also ate there and the food was pretty good.
A must visit for every tourist. Please keep in mind that the facilities are clean but that food and drinks as well as souvenirs are expensive for what you get. We drank the worst coffee here and for a standard cup it was not even half full..... Gave it four stars for the flowers and ambience, 1 more if the coffee was drinkable... Come early !
Beautiful park with wonderful flowers. Definitely a place you have to visit. A bit busy sometimes, but still nice. Get there early or there will be less flowers.
So beautiful. Unfortunately you cannot predict Mother Nature and I guess it was an early bloom this year so the tulips were already being cut but still an amazing spectacle
I've been there twice, in 2017 and a few years back. The garden keeps on improving and everytime it's amazing! This year we managed also to drive around the nearby fields and got some great pics there with those colors! Fantastic place and experience.
The food is affordable and Dutch experience is ready for grabs from smoked haring ro windmills.:) of course on topof the wonderful collection of tulips one sees around.
Definitely worth the visit. I have never seen such beautiful gardens and so many different kinds of tulips in every single colour. The place takes around 30 minutes to reach from Amsterdam's airport by bus. There are buses going the whole time and coming back as well. You can also take a boat tour to see the tulip fields Next to the park.
Great place to visit during the spring. It was worth the money and time for such a beautiful place. Even walked to nearest village which was beautiful!
Make sure you go when the field tulips are jn blossom! A bit disappointing at late season...! But the gardens are beautiful and the staff really keeps it in shape
It's a beautiful display of tulips and there are so many varieties on show. Included in admission is access to the indoor flower shows and while we visited there was also a Bald Eagle display. Peacocks, pigs and bunnies are also present. I believe there is also a maze and we saw but didn't climb the windmill (pictured). The only downside to Keukenhoff was the sheer number of visitors. It can be quite claustrophobic at times.
Amazing garden definitely a must visit place in your itinerary if you are in Netherlands in season of Tulips you can easily spend a day here and still want more. one of the best gardens with picture perfect settings that you want to capture .
We were able to visit this location at the end of March, not long after it opened for the season. Even at this early point it was well worth it - inside the pavilions was insane with the number of tulip varieties, while outside was well on its way. The local fields had limited flowering at this time, which was the only thing that was (mildly!) disappointing.
We stayed in The Hague area, so got to the location by train and then local (designated) bus from right outside the Leiden train station. This took about an hour and a half when you include transfers etc.
You easily need most of a day here, so don t plan anything else for the day if you are taking a good look and soaking it up. There are several places to get food at inside, and there is a dynamic and modern playground on location for kids to play on.
Cost of the bus from/to Leiden is a bit pricey, and the ticket into Keukenhof is similar, but the entrance ticket does give you the option for a very cheap second day to come back and explore more. However, this is one of those places and things - it s like visiting any national icon - it s always going to cost you above your estimate, but once you re in and when you re done you realize its a no brainer to visit.
Why? As a traveling family we have been and are going to lots of places. We go to different regions and countries for different reasons. Usually you want to see some of the iconic items. Keukenhof was one such place for us. The interesting thing is that in this case it is living things we are going to visit. So the value for the cost is there. Oh, and its spectacular!
While you are in Leiden (if you take the train/bus), take a walk into the town and take a look. It s a nice town with a good feel to it, and a handful of the windmills in and around it.
So many tourists on the day I visited but it was not a stop for me to enjoy the beauty of the flowers. Weather was a bit cloudy so recommende to go during Apr.
One of the world's most outstanding floral experiences with the infrastructure to support thousands of visitors. Has indoor exhibits as well. Can become extremely crowded: weekdays and late afternoons are best.
This place can be very nice depending on the season. We went on early May and it was already too late. All the tulips from the actual fields were already collected so we just visited the big touristic house. There all the tulips were beautiful but it didn't feel like amazing, because they are too much arranged to look cute. Nice experience but better to go earlier
Beautiful. Colorful. Breathtaking Food and drink are expensive. Should have direct shuttles from Amsterdam since so many people especially tourists come from there. It would simplify things.
Beauty around every corner in these gardens, although I would recommend going towards the start of the season, as by the end several varieties of tulips will be completely done. It's a busy place, with lots of tour groups, so arrive early.
This is our li'l family first time to visit this famous Tulip garden. I like & enjoying it, seeing tulips with so many colours, the indoor garden also nice to see.
A bit expensive, but very nice garden. We went in mid April and unfortunately almost half of the tulips had still to bloom, but we still saw a lot of beautiful flowers. Also it was a bit overcrowded, but that's due to the high season.
Serene, beautiful and very well managed, this is the place you would want to spend at least a full day. Varieties of tulips and other bulbs were just amazing. Will visit again
Beautiful tulip garden. Maybe the best tulip garden ever. The flowers are just amazing for their color and variety of shapes. Other flower as well particularly sakura. On the way, got the chance to drop by tulip plants to see millions of tulip with different colors.
Loved it. Went with a tour group. Get the strawberries!! We ate them so fast we didn t even take pictures. Orchid house was beautiful. Now obsessed with tulips.
Wonderful large gardens with exquisite tulips and other flowers and bushes. You can walk for hours looking at all the beautiful displays Also, extra amusement for the children
