I don't know if this needs to be said but you won't actually see those vast bulb fields within Keukenhof itself - it is a big garden with tulip displays. So if you are looking to take those panoramic Nat Geo kind of photos, give this a miss and go cycling in the bulb region instead.
If this is your first time in Netherlands in Apr/May and you just want to take photos of beautiful flowers and even some cute goats or rabbits, don't miss Keukenhof. Just so you don't feel so shallow, there's also a brief but insightful introduction of the history of tulips in Netherlands at the Juliana pavilion inside.
There's no need to join a tour, it's ridiculously easy to get here via public transport - you will get here from The Hague in an hour or less. I reached at 3pm and the light was gorgeous. Stayed till closing time (7pm) and it was so nice and peaceful.
Amazing views of thousands of tulips and colorful display of flower beds. Touches the heart
Very nice displays, a nice place to spend an afternoon strolling around the gardens, there's plenty of toilets and food stands as well to keep you topped up.
Too crowded. Don t go during bank holidays or weekends.
Gorgeous place to visit in the beginning of spring! Try the food stands around the park, they are delicious and well worth the price!
Awesome flowers .One of the world's largest flower show.
The world's leading bulb flower show. This is a national treasure anyone should do once. If you are European and love flowers, it is worth doing annually.
Beautiful and relaxing place.Have a walk, you will seen number of colourful tulip and other flowers. It is unique of its kind.It is world famous spring garden.
A must see in the area for anyone! I have seen this park develop over the years and each visit is a worthwhile experience.
Perfect location to spend a morning or afternoon watching flowers. Amazing presentation. Great hospitality.
Can't say enough good things about this. It was not overhyped. Definitely get there early, though, before the crowd gets thick.
Very crowded for the tulip festival, but it was beautiful
The most beautiful place I had ever seen park is very large have alt of different flowers and have shops buying flowers and restaurant ..recommend to visit in spring
Very lovely place, despite it being the last week, still plenty to see.
Beautiful Botanical Garden. Immensely crowded though (probably due to the time of the year with the tulips in bloom)
Verry nice place to visit. But due to the weather way to busy....
This is my dream place to visit when I was young. Very busy with visitors buses and tour. Unlucky for me to visit on busy time. I am not disappointed. You can see alot of tulips.
Lovely place to see a great selection of tulip flowers. Quiet and beautiful. Kids will have a good time and pets are allowed as well.
Great variety of flowers. A playground for kids. A little farm... What more do u need ?
Make sure to avoid tue rush hour. Amazing view here.
To be honest, it is a garden wit lot of tulips and other flowers. I understand, it could be very attractive for foreign people out of Europe, but the entrance fee is extremely expensive. I paid for 2 adults and one 3 years old child 42 EUR. For a walking in the park it is a lot I think. And do not forget a parking ticket - 5 (or 6) EUR.
Too many people to fully enjoy but park itself very beautiful.
Excellent collection of Tulips. Some of the colours are unbelievable. Looks like artificial flowers unless you touch and feel. The tremendous work of the people maintaining the gardens calls for a standing ovation. The upkeep of the exhibition enclosures and the outdoors are of exceptional high standards. One must spend a day here enjoying the beauty of the gardens.
it is a very nice, clean and well-kept location, the staff is very respectful and helpful, a good place for a weekend stroll and beyond. the best place to spend your free time outdoors, to avoid any inconvenience or more questions call the reception, at the number displayed for more details, so I did, very helpful, thank you very much
If you're a nature or photography enthusiast, then you're going to love this place. The entire place is huge and there are multiple impressive photo opportunities where they do several creative arangemnts of the flowers and there're are also great food stands and restuarants. Could easily spend a whole day here.
80% of flowers was not ready but it was beautiful anyway. But don't worth 17 eur.
The botanical gardens of Lisse provides probably the biggest tulip exhibition worldwide. In April is surely a must see if you're in Amsterdam or nearby. There are both indoor and outdoor exhibitions, with hundreds of tulip variety but also daffodils and several flowers types. If the weather is nice, one can seat outside in one of the many restaurants or directly on the grass if you fancy it. The garden also has small artificial lake, fountains and children playground.
The park was beautiful but there wasn t any tulip field as shown on the advert, the only field were outside the park but couldn t access. So yes, the advert was a little misleading. Also, I felt not worth the costs as park isn t very big either, it only took us 35 mins to visit the entire park (we were walking fast coz we only had 45 mins before closing). It surprised me that parks cost money as well in Amsterdam....
Beautiful flower garden. Astonishing maintenance. Must visit place.
Beautiful, colorful, creative, unique and yes, crowded with tourists from the whole planet.
Still, it is worth it, it was my 4th time & if In town , I will be back!
Absolutely stunning. My husband and I went on our honeymoon thinking we'd be there a couple of hours and we ended up staying the ENTIRE day. Our favorite part, besides the beautiful flowers, was renting a tandem and biking through the nearby tulip fields + following the trail that took us all the way to the beach! Go early and stay late for the best lighting and least amount of people. Bring a picnic to enjoy in one of their beautiful sprawling fields (they also have food and drinks available) and bring your camera + take videos. The way the tulips dance in the wind is an absolute dream.... I already can't wait to go back. Oh, free guided tour everyday at 14:00 :)
If you love flowers and trees and the tranquillity of enjoying life another way you won't be disappointed. Amazing tulips where it is displayed beautifully and marvellous orchids the only hic is you need to go on end of April and beginning of May to see the tulips in blooms
Such a pretty place. Totally magic to see all these flowers. A lot of tulips varieties of course but not only. Also orchids... and other varieties. I spent 3 hours here with my father and it was wonderful. You can see how much the gardeners put in this place, very day to keep it so perfect. We came from Amsterdam with a car. The parking fees are expensive but still it s worthy to see. It was really busy but the experience was so nice that you forget about it.
Great flowers are there. Don't spend 30euro if the sun light is not good..
Beautiful place to take a look at many types of tulips. Overpriced ticket though.
it was a wonderful experience to visit theflower garden. what an amazing site of blooming million of flowers.would definitely like to visit again. the only negative point is the cost of tickets and the prices of eat ables.
Beautiful getaway in the spring time. Wished we could go into tge farms
Beautiful gardens to see the classic tulips arrangements. You get to see two of the stripes flower fields (and they are actually outside of the park). But it is beautiful to see all the tulip variety that they have. Also expect a lot of crows and tourists
Great place to bring the family. Not only do they have botanical gardens, but also a petting zoo for the kids.
Worth the visit. Bring your camera fully charged and get some extra memory cards.
To be in Amsterdam in April and not to visit the Keukenhof ? No way :)
Must see place in Amsterdam. Took a tour from Amsterdam central costing 52 Euro. Comfortable tour, with about 3-4 hours at Tulip garden. You can also take public transport for cheaper option.
Overkill on flowers. Boring , unless you are way into tulips. A senior, senior destination in my opinion. 18 euros plus parking. Go to Amsterdam and see something!
Compared to the public parks in London, Keukenhof only deserves a 4 star. I went during the tulip season, a bit disappointed at how they kept the pond. It was smelly!
Keukenhof is amazing. It is the largest flower garden in the world. You should visit at least once in your lifetime.
The only real problem here is the short season, which makes the park very crowded in the weekends. Bikes are not allowed inside the park, so be ready to walk a bit
Beautiful tulip garden in Netherlands. Well maintained. Entrance fee approx 18euro
The most amazing place ever, if your a flower lover, second time to go, amazing in a fine spring day, you would most definitely spend majority of day here
Beautiful park with so many things to photograph. You would definately like top click each and every place. One day is not enoughq
One of the very famous place in Netherlands, open once in a year
Lovely creative displays, great variety. It is just SO crowded.
A lot of variety of tulips and good explanation of the origin
Great place to spend a few hours. But try to go early in the morning to avoid the crowd.
Worth the price of admission, and the bike ride to get there, to experience one of the true gems of The Netherlands.
Very beautiful place.
It's a large garden with all types of beautiful flowers.
You could spend a couple of hours here easily, grabbing a bite, playing with the baby goats and walking around the garden. And there is a boat trip as well that takes you around the garden.
Must visit.
Wonderful experience. Lots to see in this garden. With a car you will enter from the back gate where it will be usually quite than from the main gate. Well organised. Beautiful, colorful and georgeous tulips all over the garden along with different varieties of daffodils as well . I didn't expect there are lots of varieties....!
Absorbed in the beauty. Well organised combo ticket.
