It's a magical place outside Amsterdam. It'll take you around an hour to reach there depending on the mode of transportation you choose. It's wise to book entry tickets worth 18 online.

The place itself has beautiful flower arrangements and you'll see flower art in showhouses there. You'll be able to buy plants or suvinours too.

Before coming to this place, I was not so sure what I am going to do there. For me it would be some tulip flavor field and have to just walk across. Well its not what I thought, it is very well organized designer garden with lots of variety of tulips. You should visit this place.

It's like an amusement park about tulips. Overcrowded, so no way to enjoy the nature quietly. Grown men with selfie sticks next to colorful tulips. Hard to see how to enjoy this unironically. Skip this and find the tulips fields next to it, where you can enjoy the flowers without fries-munching Dutchmen besides you.

An absolute "must see"! Located in Lisse (a couple of train stops and a 30-minute bus ride from Amsterdam), the Keukenhof will leave you wanting a tulip garden of your own.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, varieties of tulips, photos ops and other bulbs on display. There was also an orchid exhibit when I visited in April 2011. The weather was unseasonably warm, so many of the tulips were open and looked like roses.

You cannot step on most of the grassy areas (the grass police caught me) and the food they sell at the gardens is expensive. I recommend you pack your own lunch and have a picnic if you are pinching pennies. The cost for a map of the park and informational brochure is 1.50-euros. There are no free informational materials at the gardens.

I went on Easter Sunday, which is supposedly the busiest day of the year at Kuekenhof. I recommend visiting the week before or the week after Holy Week, on a weekday, so there aren't so many crowds.

A bonus of visiting the Keukenhof is the ride there, where you get to see multiple fields of tulips. The bus ride back to the train station took a scenic route past some fields accented with Dutch residents riding bikes and some guy running around in a tank top and really short shorts.

If you book a wheelchair in advance, they will save a motorized chair for you. If not, you get a regular wheelchair that you cannot control on your own (someone else has to push you). The deposit on a chair is 10-euros, which you get back when you turn the chair back into to the office.

Keukenhof is pronounced by the locals, "koh-ken-hof."

Wonderful place to go and enjoy the spring and watch beautiful tulip gardens and fields. If you are with family you will enjoy more. For childrens it will be a wonderful experience to see different types of tulips.

A park that is filled with as many flowers as people.

When you go here, expect there to be a lot of people. "A lot" in this case, means a lot, a lot. Expect yourself to be bumping into people on every corner.

However, the sights which you can behold are amazing. The garden has been set up with so many different sections and flowers, that you will definitely find something you haven't seen before.

It's a great place, that's definitely worth spending a couple of hours in.

sidenote: it is possible to lend a wheelchair on a deposit of 20,- There are a lot of them, but it's safer to reserve one the day before you go there.

The gardens are lovely, they charge an adult fee of 18 euros and 6 euro for parking. There's a long queue of vehciles waiting for parking so expect 10-15 minutes time till you could enter the parking lot. No public or free parking is available near the gardens.

The gardens are beautiful with a variety of flowers. Its like a fairy garden. The only negative thing is that they allow a lot of people inside the gardens so it gets congested inside and you can not move easily, specially if you have young kids, its hard to move within so much crowd.

Beautiful! We managed to go on the last weekend that it was open. Some of the tulips were already cut off but it was definitely still worth the trip, especially with how easy it was to get there from Schipol.

An absolutely beautiful place to visit. The planting is cleverly done, as you'd expect from.a show garden I suppose, which means that although our visit was quite early in the season there was plenty to see already in bloom, as well as the indoor displays in the various pavilions.
If you visit the area while the gardens are open in Spring, I would throughly recommend a visit. Buy tickets before you arrive online to queue jump and save money on car parking. Don't bother with the guide book unless you want a momento...free maps are available. You can take as little or as much time to wander around as you like. We only had a few hours but still feel like we got to see the majority.

The beauty of this garden cannot be described with words or pictures, you just have to visit it and experience it! Every year it is different and its worth the money and time!

Its a bit far from Amsterdam, its basically a glorified park. The only "public" transport cost us 14 euros (i think its actually private). The whole thing cost me 3 hours in travel time and 31 euros. Would recommend only if you have time and money to waste.

While definitely the flowers here are of a different kind, after visiting Miracle gardens or Dubai garden glow, both in Dubai, this place is bleak in comparison. Anyone who rated this place a 5 should visit elsewhere.

Beautiful!

Must visit, but check opening dates online first.

Visited at Easter after a cold wet spell. Coach and car parks immense, plenty of parking. Arrived mid morning so so busy but ticketing and entrance was efficient. By mid afternoon they estimated there were 15000 visitors. Even then the size of the gardens meant that you could still get around and see the displays easily. The gardens are breathtaking to see and extremely well maintained. I have never seen tulip plantings on such a scale before -mindblowing! You need to allow a full day if you want to see all the displays and indoor collections. Mostly flat walking bit plenty of it. Many refresment areas throughout at reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit in season.

CAR THEFT IN PARKING LOT!!! We recently went to Keukenhof to visit the gardens. We left our rental car in the designated parking lots and came back from the gardens to find our car was broken into and all of our belongings were stolen. After two hours of no help from the staff at Keukenhof, we drove to the police station to find 8 other cars that had also had their windows smashed in and all of their belongings stolen. After speaking with police, we learned this happens about 10 times per day at the Keukenhof parking lot. There is no security and the staff does not seem to care that this is an issue. It is a shame that after going to see flowers, you return to a smashed in window and all belongings (passports, bags, etc.) have been stolen. This is a trend at Keukenhof so please be careful if you choose to attend.

Very crowded, a bit akward how every meter people are waiting in line to pose for photos. A lady was upset at us for sitting on a bench next to the water and a cherry blossom tree "because that is the photo bench. You need to use it to quickly pose and then let others have a turn". There are no signs stating anything like that and there are a ton of benches spread throughout the park. Most bizarre experience.

We like gardens - Longwood, Buchart, et als. Keukenhof is incredible. The tulip variarty is amazing but even more so is the landscaping and gardening involved in creating beautiful, beautiful gardens.

Went on opening day and it was great, even for a grey day where half the flowers weren't in bloom yet. Would look amazing by April. Buy a combo pass online to get a bus return ticket and entry to the park. Lots of nice inside pavilions and extravagant outdoor displays. Cafes are good as well.
