The staff here are Professional and Courteous. The Administration is caring. The food definitely needs improvement. Cold hot dogs, pork, chicken, ect. I can't eat a lot of the food because I get sick. The place is extremely clean. House Keeping cleans the rooms daily. If there is a maintenance issue it's resolved within 24 hours. One issue in my concern is some Residents sell drugs and do illegal drugs in the facility. There is absolutely no repercussions for these individuals. Overall I enjoy living here. Food definitely needs improvement. Drug selling, ect needs to be issued IMMEDIATELY.
I'm glad this facility exists and provides needed services; however they are still more reactionary than compassionate or understanding. That is a far greater flaw than the lie that is their WiFi.
I'm not a patient of this place... but I looked online and found an article that stated there was a dead body found in the closet after one week of being reported missing. I would suggest not going to stay there if u dont wanna end up like the dead man.
I was a resident at Albany Care for two years and received the best care I could have received. The staff was always polite to me and asked me several times a day how I was doing. If they had not seen me for awhile they would check on me. The activities department was fantastic. I believe you get what you want. I went there for help and that is truly what I received. I have been out for four and a half years and I am doing very well. I am stable and I have a volunteer job. I am also writing a book about my journey through stigma and how I have gone from a nobody to a somebody. It doesn't just happen over night.
Horrible rehabilitation staff on the exception of the administration staff
Staff is friendly, though the facility is a bit outdated.
The residents they admit to this facility are great people. The nurse on third floor Marie is amazing. The cnas that get hired are very hardworking and have worked and gained many years of experience. Overall good place to bring a loved one.
Staff is short handed and rude. Facility also smells like piles of dirt were put there and never moved.
Just to be clear: I do not personally know anyone who has gone here however I have lived across the street from this place for quite a while and I can say that (being someone who has suffered from mental illness, having it run in my family) I would NEVER send a loved one here. It s basically a free for all. One morning I woke up to one of the patients in the park across the street screaming bloody murder at the top of their lungs. I called the facility out of respect (I didn t wanna have to call the police) to let them know one of their patients was across the street screaming in distress. The woman on the phone told me that he always does that and hung up on me. There was no concern as to why the man was screaming, if he needed help or anything. No one came outside to help him so I had to call the police. The police came and made sure he was okay and was eventually able to calm him down, but this was a perfect example to me that showed how the staff works, how they care (or not care) for their patients, and how they treat reasonable complaints. (The cop on the phone even added that they get calls for disturbances there everyday, and that they even have problems with the patients running naked through the park sometimes). Please trust me when I say that if you are thinking about sending a loved one here, there are MUCH better options in the area.
