The salmon and halibut is in my opinion the best in town. The wait for seating can be up to 45 minutes during peak times, but they give you a buzzer, and during business hours there are gift shops to browse through that contain Alaskan rarities such as mammoth tusks, locally hand crafted specialties, Alaskan gold nuggets and Alaskan made jewlery. A bar with menued seating is available if you are alone or if your group is willing to sit with the crowd. Small plates are available as well as pizza and soup of the day. The kitchen is open so you can see your food being prepared. There's a fireplace centrally located, and a private room to the back for large gatherings or meetings.

What saves this review from 1 star is the fantastic waitress we had aside from that there was a lot of waiting. We called 5 mins before heading to the restaurant for reservations and a table but was told there was no waiting time three times, 5 mins later when we arrived we there told to wait and waited over half an hour for a table. Later between sitting and getting our appetizers there was another half hour wait. After our appetizers it took almost 40 minutes to get our entrees. In fact everyone in our party noticed two other tables seated after us get their entree and desserts before we even got our entree. And they didn't even come at the same time, one person in our party got theirs 5 minutes after the rest. After spending over 2 hours waiting we skipped dessert since our parking spot was only for two hours. The waitress was very nice though and the halibut and rock fish were good. Wish I could give a better review but the amount of waiting was too much.

Grateful for the chance to have a wonderful seafood meal right before our return flight home. Food and service were top notch, loved the seafood sampler plate. We had a red eye flight, so checked out luggage at the airport first before grabbing a cab here. Wonderful way to spend our last night in Alaska!

Understaffed. By the time out waiter brought us our beer flights, they were warm. The restaurant was packed and the waiters all looked like they were frantically rushing around. Full staff equals better employee satisfaction and customer experience.

Mediocre at best for the price you pay. The staff was pretty attentive although they were sort of off their game in the beginning. Tried to get a table next to the fire place but initially had a little bit of a hard time in getting the staff to do so. Food definitely has some room for improvement. Nonetheless, the interior looks nice and well-decorated.

Our favorite restaurant in Anchorage. Superb service & food and we usually go with the daily special (fresh grilled halibut today). Their in house brew selection is second to none.

I am writing this review not just because their food is excellent and the Brewhouse has a wonderful variety of their own beers, but also because we had an incident where the waiter overcharged our credit card for a bill that was split across a number of cards. Will, their manager refunded the amount without question within a day. Their customer service is top notch!

Great place for seafood. Ordered seafood corniti (don t remember the exact name) and seafood chowder for starter, shrimp plate and king crab leg for entries, rootbeer and blonde for drink.

The little bread dressed with rich crab, lobster and vegetables is really nice, 5 star recommendation. The chowder is also good but not as impressive as the bread.

For entries, the king crab leg is really fresh and tasty, I always believe the best way to serve seafood is steaming it only without adding any extra seasoning. The rice served with the crab is also nice, better than any rice I have ever tried in any other US style restaurant. The shrimp plate is not that good as it is too greasy, we can barely finish it as the potato/rice is just soaking in oil.

For the drink, rootbeer is more like plum flavor soda and the blonde is very light. The first few
sips gave me creamy and milky feeling, but these feeling went away when I drink more.

Overall, good service, good food and affordable price, deserve a five star.

Pretzel appetizer with beer cheese was not very warm and the taste was off. My tomato soup was good and so was the blue cheese salad. My friends fish and chips were not good at all and the oil needed to be changed. More of a tourist trap than an Alaskan favorite. Most people like their beer, burger, and pizza.

I grew up in the area and now only visit from out of state once a year. This place is literally a must every time I'm here. The food is delicious, the service is phenomenal, the atmosphere is great. The pretzel and cheese fondue starter is to. Die. For. If you go during lunch/ brunch, it's not on the menu but they're sweet enough to make it anyways and you 1000% need to try it. I probably said 15x when eating there today "this place is the best thing that ever happened to Anchorage" and I sure meant it. I wish nothing but the best for this place- they sure bring the best to us!

Always a must when in Anchorage. This is a favorite among locals but it is obvious that most of its patrons are tourists during the summer season. This was my second time at the Brewhouse. The last time I was here it was really late at night and all I had was a bisque and a beer.

My recommendation is to call ahead for reservations. Walk-ins can wait up to 1 1/2 hours. For quicker service, steak-out the bar area, it is first-come, first-served and some of the tables can accommodate up to parties of 6.

On this visit, I found myself sitting in the bar area again. Nonetheless, my experience was still good.

As an appetizer, I ordered the 1/2 lb King Crabs and although they were $28, it was a decent deal for other comparable places. My entree was the lime shrimp. Both dishes were quite satisfying. I paired my meal with the house IPA, which made for a well rounded dinner.

Our Lyft driver said this is the best food in town. Locals and tourist, huge alcohol selection with entire menu for whiskeys. Huge beer selection and decent wines especially by the bottle. Fresh fish was so fresh and steaks looked delicious too. Save room for the peanut butter pie as it was "life changing". (Quoting people next to us and confirmed with our own order) get the salmon dip before you order. It was good enough to lick the bowl.

I've been to Glacier Brewhouse every time I've visited Alaska (we're up to 5 times now!) and it's one of my favorite restaurants. I love the gluten-free friendly menu and the atmosphere. I've also had great service. It gets packed pretty quickly, so I would suggest calling ahead to get a reservation. There's generally room over in the bar area so not having a reservation isn't the end of the world.

I ordered the halibut fish and chips ($1 more than the cod & well worth it!). It was delicious, big portion generous serving with a delicious apple cranberry vegetable coke
Sale, Parmesan type fries and two big pieces of crusted fish. I ordered the nitro double IPA along with it They were changing out the keg so it took a little longer to get but well worth the wait. Nice and creamy bitter and delicious a perfect partner for the fish and chips.
I ve got a huge wood fire grill here burning all the wood or their steaks and burgers very impressive visually and on pleasing to my tastebuds. I m

Always good, an Alaska favorite! Just walk by and catch a waft of the alder rotisserie and you'll get a glimpse of what's in store. Perfectly cooked steak with just the right amount of alder flavor makes for an amazing lunch!

Suprisingly it was a good experience the wait to get items was a little bit longer than anticipated but overall the food was delicious. The Anchorage nachos are a must try and would recommend. I did like the halibut and the coconut and raspberry beer. Was not a fan of the jalapeno cornbread the syrup makes it taste burnt in the cast iron skillet, maybe because it was cooked way to long. Had a bite of the shrimp and grits a little spicy packed with a lot of heat was a little much on the heat side but was good. But for a place that seems like there is not a lot of good eating this would be one place I would stop again when I come back to when I fly through. Folks here are pretty nice.

Superb food and great beers. Service was a bit slow or maybe it seemed so because we had to catch a flight right after dinner. Our server messed up our order but she very generously made up for that. Refunded the wrong dish even though we ended up taking it and added a couple of free deserts. And she was very friendly and very professional. Mistakes happen, what matters is what you do about them and she sure delivered on that department.

This is my go to place whenever there is a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. The food is excellent. Make a reservation, or you will have to wait a bit. Use Open Table or whatever app you wish. Vegetables are fresh and well presented as are the meats. Never ever had a bad steak here or any seafood. Try the pound and a half of King Crab, Blackened Salmon, Steak or the Ahi Tuna. Deserts the Burnt Creme and Bread Pudding with rum dressing cannot be beat. Good Craft Beers and Fountain Drinks

This is THE place to go if you come to Anchorage. Been a handful of times and the service never lets me down. For the BEST experience, reserve your seats before hand otherwise you may have to wait a while. If you could walk right in from a reservation then they will not let you down! Great food, great atmosphere, and MAKE SURE you get the Penut Pie! 6 stars!

Fast service, great menu, tasty food. Best dish was the grilled halibut. The menu only features the crusted halibut which was good but the simpler, just grilled option was far superior. Crab legs were good but a little pricy. The bread pudding was not the best I had.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at the Glacier Brewhouse. They have a fantastic beer selection, extensive menu, and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is a "must visit" spot if you ever visit Anchorage. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Gio and Antonio were both great and very helpful with their recommendations. Thank you!

Our waitress was weird and seemed really out of it...

Our waitress was weird and seemed really out of it and was not as attentive as should be. Perhaps since we sat in the "bar area" but that is really no excuse. Just giving us weird, confused looks while we were asking questions and sort of made us feel out of place. My colleague ordered the calamari appetizer which he said was very very good. But it more or less ended there. I ordered a Glacier Blue salad or whatever it's called, which was described as mixed greens with blue cheese, grapes and very pecans. I found it quite odd then, that I was served iceberg lettuce with romaine hearts. It just didn't work with that dressing/topping combo. I promptly asked for a new salad with the same dressing and toppings but with baby spinach, and it was much better. Then came the mains. They were both prepared well - no complaints there, but my colleague's salmon basically tasted like a piece of beef steak while my ahi tuna was excessively peppered - to the point where it was most of what I was tasting.

All in all, seems like a good place to grab some drinks and maybe some lighter fare but the dinner failed to satisfy.

One of the few places where you can make reservations. Great place to take someone out for a nice meal and beer when they come to visit. You can't go wrong with the menu, and I can tell you from experience that the swordfish, steak, and burger are delicious. This is kind of a touristy place though, so prepare for touristy prices.

If you are new to Glacier Brewhouse beers, get a flight and try a bit of everything.

Pizza And Nachos look like they were made by an 8 year old. Domino's is better. Nachos are made out of Lay's Potato Chips.

Other food was pretty good. The Burger was WAY TOO expensive. Beer was nothing to write home about.

The Maple Butter and Bread was good though.

Matthew was a great waiter.
