Atmosphere is good. The homemade root beer is very good. The peanut butter pie was delicious. But the entrees were only mediocre.

This is a good and very popular restaurant. They have their own beer which I enjoyed. I had the Amber. The menu is big and varied. They have salmon, halibut, pizza and meat. I had halibut and it was good. The place was busy and the staff tell me it's busy every day. It's also very loud. The kitchen is visible and the cook working there would shout orders for the whole dining room to hear. This isn't a place for a quiet evening. But it it is fun.
Applebees quality, triple the price. A lot of money for a mediocre dinner.
The food was very tasty and a good value, except that both the pizza crust and pizza toppings we're under-salted. The beer fight was a great value at 5 5oz beers for $8, but not all the beers we're equally good. I was disappointed by the stout, the amber and black IPA were respectable, the cask ale was very good, and the eisbock that had been aged in whisky barrels for more than two years was a wonderful revelation.
Delicious seafood! Everything was delicious, beautifully served and generous portions. Excellent service! Packed and busy without feeling too loud or uncomfortably crowded. It was a congenial environment. Prices reasonable for the high quality food and generous portions.
Wow,
Rare fresh caught. Sashimi inside and smoked grilled sear on the outside. Best of both worlds. I now have to live the rest of my life knowing salmon could be this good, when dinning elsewhere in the world.
Best seafood I've ever had. Anchorage offers surprisingly high quality seafood at a very reasonable price (partly because there's no tax) And I'm comparing to cities with strong seafood culture like Boston, Seattle, and Honolulu.
Despite the very good dining experience we've had at this place, I couldn't give it five stars because their steaks are always overcooked and cooked unevenly. You have to ask for one or two levels lower to get the doneness you want (e.g. their 'medium' is actually medium-well or even close to well-done). I really hope they address this issue because it's a waste of the high quality beef they use. Nobody wants dry aged Prime grade steak well-done!
The food was awesome and taste good. All the ingredients are local and fresh seafood and catch of the season fish. I would definitely recommend this place if you are new in town or visiting Anchorage.
Simply outstanding. The absolutely best smoked salmon I have ever had. It is a rare sensation to want to savor a mouthful of food to allow the gorgeous tastes linger for as long as possible. But this is my experience with this meal. Others also raved as bout their meals as well.
Several people from our hotel recommended this place. I was really skeptical about their advise. But I'm so glad we went. The food was excellent. Full of flavor. Our server Morgan was so sweet and she answered all my questions and helped me decide which dish I might enjoy the most.
I strongly urge you to make a reservation ahead of time. The food is worth the hype.
I had the shrimp & grits. Sooo good. Loaded with shrimp. So well seasoned. And from now on, I'm adding smoked gouda to my homemade grits. Delicious!
Love this place! Amazing atmosphere. The decor is rustic, but contemporary, and the staff make you feel like you are the only people in the place. Try the Razz! It is an experience worth having.
I went to GB three times during my one week stay at Anchorage. The seafood here is so fresh and tasty. I m not a beer person but kept ordering beer every time I came! King crabs, salmon and seafood crowder are a must to try. I tried same thing at other places but GB cook them better. My husband ordered pasta but don t recommend.
Prices are our of my comfort zone but it's ALASKA!! If you're here on vacation you might as well enjoy your time here and not have to worry about a few bucks. The kitchen is visible and you can see your food being cooked for you. Stephen was out waiter and he did an amazing job, highly recommend!! All in all, it was a great experience and I will definitely come back to this brewhouse on my next visit to the last frontier.
Travis was an awesome waiter, food was delicious. Got a New York sour by asking, omg that drink needs to come back. Above and beyond service!
Clam chowder was hearty, flavorful and the correct temperature. The calamari was delicious. Jot, crisp and juicy on the inside. Served on a wonderful spiced mayo dip. Definitely a must order. The crusted salmon didn't disappoint either. Crunchy crust, we'll cooked with an interesting sauce over jasmine rice. Morgan, my server, was delightful, polite, prompt and looked like a model. Great place, great ambience. Recommended.
We just had a amazing brunch from glacier brew house, this is not our first time here and like always they have impressed. We had a amazing bread pudding that melted down my throat. Thank you to our server Scott, not only was he an amazing server but a great problem solver also. Thank you again.
This was one of my favorite places to eat!! Every year when I visited my son in AK, we would go at least 5 times !
Great food, staff very enjoyable. crab legs and seafood crostini the best Halibut too
Went here for dinner and brews with friends
Smoked salmon dip had great dip to salmon ratio
Amazing shrimp and grits!
The Birch syrup creme brulee was superb
The brews and cocktails we're great. The descriptions we're accurate.
The place was busy but our server was very attentive
I'd definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.
Best service ever! Iris made our visit the best restaurant visit of our trip. Food was fantastic!!! And so was the beer! Definitely a top spot to visit if you are in town!!
I came here as an out of towner looking for a cozy setting to complete my first Alaskan experience. The ambiance is warm and charming, and you feel like you are far-removed from the city even though it's located in the heart of Anchorage. The prices are a little high, but the food is worth it and receives accolades from tourists and locals alike. Don't leave here without trying the Seafood Chowder, especially on a cold day. For lunch it pairs beautifully with the Brewhouse Blue. This was my favorite meal of my 4 days spent here!
It is my first time visiting Alaska and my S/O insisted we come here. Everything was absolutely top notch! The Calamari and seafood chowder were out of this world! If you are in anchorage you have to pay this place a visit!
Food was excellent! Service was great....a must in Anchorage.
Soup was great. Cream soda very good. Seafood a bit over cooked.
Amazing beers and great food. Place is usually pretty busy and must be for a good reason. Really enjoyed all the imperial coconut ale and the halibut. Will definitely be back.
Great seafood. Super beer selection. Decent service.
Fantastic food and drink in a comfortably modern yet rustic decor. Reasonable prices and epic beer list focusing on local brews.
This a more upscale brewpub located in lovely downtown Anchorage. The prices here are pretty much on-par with prices across the state: relatively expensive compared to anyplace outside of the state. The food was good, not exceptional, but it was extremely fresh. The beer is good, too, but again, not exceptional. The restaurant is clean and with a nice rustic/Alaskan design. Our server was ok, she just handed u menus, told us one special, and was acting like she was trying to rush us. The server next to us, didn't catch his name, was awesome. He did a great job of recommending different course and beverage pairings to the patrons he had, and they had a good experience with him. Not so much with ours. But we had a good meal and a few decent beers. If your in town and you have a fistful of dollars that needs to be spent, this isn't a bad place to do it. I'd come back again, but I'm not dying to get back again. There's other options in town too.
Did not like the service at all. Wait staff was horrible.
Everything was good the prices were just right and my partner's halibut was fantastic. I had two cheeseburger and was not disappointed. Their Oktoberfest beer was very good.
We had a great evening here watching OSU win the Big10 championship. We sat in the bar and even though we weren t drinking the staff was great to us and let us hang out as long as we wanted after we finished our meals so we could watch the game. The fresh fish and chips and seafood chowder rival those from back home in Maine.
Haven t been in almost ten years. But I visited anchorage twice and both times I made absolute sure to come and get their crab legs and home brewed beer.
