Alamo CrossFit Review

The coaches and athletes at Alamo City CrossFit are encouraging and inspiring. They cheer you on and help you reach your goals. Not an intimidating place and I would recommend it to everyone!

Updated to add that 1 year has passed since my original review and things are still really great at ACCF. Lots of great changes including a new air-conditioned yoga area and I can't wait to get back to the gym. Great support from the coaches and the community even now that we're all working out at home.

ACCF blew up all of my preconceived notions of what CrossFit is. The gym is a really tight, but open-armed, community. As someone who lacked the discipline to really stick with my own program (or that of a workout partner) while sinking money into Gold s Gym, I cant recommend this place enough.

I always thought CrossFit was prohibitively expensive, but the level of instruction, feedback, and encouragement you get at this gym means you re the one that s coming out ahead financially. I attend an average 3-4 classes a week, often times with only handful of classmates in my early early class, and it works out to basically 10 bucks an hour. There is NO PLACE that will give you the functional equivalent of a personal trainer for that rate. Throw in the nice, clean bathroom/showering facilities, and you ll have no problem making class at ACCF a necessary part of your daily routine.

Alamo City is everything you want in a CrossFit gym - amazing coaching and staff, flexible programming for all levels, clean facility, great camaraderie! I have always felt welcome, safe, and encouraged. You can expect lots of high fives, fist bumps, and cheers at Alamo City, not to mention an entire community of supporters and friends from your first day!

Awesome gym! They really care about their members and seek to provide the best possible atmosphere for anybody that comes in!

The coaches are hands down the highest leveled I have ever worked with. They have the knowledge of an iphone but they can tell it to you in two words that are easy to understand! BATHROOMS that are new and room to dance!!

I joined 2 months ago with no Crossfit experience. After "window shopping" local Crossfit gyms online, I checked out ACCF specifically because of the On Ramp Program. Having completed the program, I am 100% happy I chose ACCF. I have never felt more welcomed into a community. The coaches are great and I never feel dumb for asking questions. If you're looking for a welcoming community, knowledgable coaches, and a gym you look forward to going to- ACCF is for you!

I joined this gym in June and it has been a great experience. The coaches and members are very nice and the classes are always a great time. I do the barbell class and crossfit classes and I have seen a lot of improvements with my strength and stamina. I would recommend this gym to anyone serious about being healthy and fit!

Alamo City CrossFit is by far the best gym in the Alamo City! They have an outstanding, knowledgeable coaching staff for both CrossFit and weightlifting! And coaches that actually care! The coaches, the members and the overall sense of community will make you feel it home! Whether you want to participate in the daily workouts or do your own thing during open gym, they have a huge gym floor with plenty of space for it all! Also check out their clean restrooms and showers....which is equally as important!

Great box with great people! I felt welcomed right from the very start! The coaches are genuinely invested in you and want to see you be the very best you can be! Definitely recommend this box!

The quintessential crossfit experience: 12,000 sqft facility, awesome programming, great coaching and incredible people-Even hosted 17.3. I was a drop-in for the week and I can't say enough good things about this place and the people. Sad to be leaving, but thanks for a great experience! JR

What a wonderful gym, with wonderful people! The facility is spacious, clean and a level up from any box I have been to. Private dressing areas including shower set this box above the rear with the professional, working cross fitter. The coaches are supportive and the community is welcoming and encouraging!

Over the years I ve been at many boxes. Hands down this gym is the most professionally run. I don t mean that as a slight agains any of the other great boxes I ve been a member of, but what they are doing at Alamo City Crossfit is unreal. The quality of the programming, instruction, coaches, even the facility is unrivaled. Looking forward to many great years ahead!

One of the best gyms I've ever dropped into. The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating, the equipment and space is legit, and the open gym is incredibly convenient.

From the coaches to the athletes - the culture here is fun, encouraging, and helpful. In regards to facilities - the equipment and bathrooms are organized, stocked, and clean! Great work ACCF crew. Thank you for being awesome.

I had a great time hear at Alamo city crossfit. Coming from a crossfit box in fort worth Texas it can sometimes be intimidating dropping in at a box wear you don't know the programming or community. But I can honestly say this place is amazing from the moment you walk in your are welcomed to the community and the coaching staff is 100% professional and world class. I had the honor of working out with alley and I can say it was an honor to be coached by a fellow military service member. If you are looking to start your crossfit journey look no further than Alamo city crossfit in san Antonio Texas the programming is amazing and every kind of fitness level is respected and treated equally regardless if your a competitive crossfit athlete or use crossfit as your way of reaching your fitness goal. I'm happy to say that Alamo city crossfit will be my new crossfit home anytime I'm in town from fort worth.

Great atmosphere, great facility, awesome staff and fantastic community. I just moved here this past year and after searching and going around to all the CrossFit gyms in the area, Alamo City CrossFit is the one I call home now. I have called this gym home for the past 3+ years now! It is an awesome atmosphere with great people and awesome coaches! I never feel overwhelmed with a workout due to everyone is always willing to lend a hand (coaches and athletes)! There are some great and exciting changes that are coming in 2020! I cannot wait to see the greatness that this year brings to all of us at the box!

Too bad many of the old reviews were for another gym that is closed down (but had a slightly similar name). Alamo City CrossFit is phenomenal. Large space, dedicated space for both CF and weight lifting, and quality coaches who really care. If anyone is serious about making improvements to themselves and need honestly good coaches to give guidance, ACCF is the place to start.

Love this gym. There is truly no other CrossFit community like the one here. The owners listen to the needs of of the members and try their hardest to accommodate to everyone. No place like it here!
