We show livestock at the fairgrounds every year. They do put on great effort to keep livestock shows alive, and I appreciate that!
Every year I go and donate money to the horse races. I still love the sport but no more money donations from me. Very clean and great food. Oh, I did lose my phone at the track and no one turned it in.
It was great the food rides was great had a great time just takes forever to get in the fairgrounds and to get a parking space before getting in the fairgrounds where the rides are at
Yep, it's a fairgrounds. Yep, I went to the Good Guys Car Show here. Yep, dirt parking lot. Yep, lots of free air and sunshine. Yep, lots of free range people. You get the idea.
A lot of space for meetings and gatherings as well as huge parties in Pleasanton. Plenty of buildings and good restrooms locations. The parking space is also a lot.
I drive the bus that takes the passengers to the fair ground it is clean well kept I love how the fair grounds aways keep you updated on current and future events
The organization is bad and over crowded. It took me more than 40 mins attempting turning onto Valley before giving up as cars were not moving. Not sure it's worth more than an hour just to enter the fairground.
They have very large meeting halls and grounds that can be reserved.
Parking cost here are outrageous the show I went to was good but to pay $10 to park here even on a weekday is highway robbery
Loved there car show there was about like 1000 cars
New well update version of the classic fair. All games and rides use a single pay card. No more paying cash for games. Every person in Pleasanton visits the fair, in most cases every year. Very large area. They have everything, Kid rides, large rides, shopping, music, races, food and art galleries. Must go for everyone living in the tri-valley and beyond. Can be very expensive but worth it. Opens with a cattle eide through downtown also a good sight. Also visit the art gallery, some very talented artists.
The grounds were muddy to the point of almost slipping with every step.
Beautiful, nostalgic fairgrounds. The aestetic of everything alone is enough of a reason to visit and just walk around. From the quirky foods, to the live animals, to the truck races, this fairground is a classic and must visit location. Took some beautiful pictures during my visit.
Great time at the drive thru concert.. Very family friendly and great country music.. were going back to see ZZ top cover and Tom petty and Bob Seger cover this weekend!!
There is always a great variety of events here. Traffic can be as expected at larger ones, but they do a great job at flow control.
Expensive and too hot, not enough cooling and comfortable areas to sit and relax. Too rugged.
Great spot for shows, fairs, gun shows, camping, fishing and other odd things. Very nice home and garden events. Huge parking lots. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of vendors for sale items and information. The fair is held here every year. Alameda county fair right in Pleasanton, ca.
Fun to go see yourself or the whole fr family rides games and whole lot of other fun things to do to many to list it's a must go see for your self place
Fairgrounds seem a little yesterday but nice overall
Very nice. Haven't been herr since i was a kid and its changed for the better
Plenty of event space and huge parking lot. Easy access via several highways from the Bay area
Good times just the parking is awful somebody needs to take charge of that one
Myself and three friends went here to play bingo. They have paper sheets as well as computers. I had never played both at the same time so it was a bit confusing at first and some workers stayed close by to help us which was great! The only downside was that we couldn't hear one of the callers well and another caller was calling the numbers to fast which caused some patrons to tell out "slow down"!
Easy to walk, no hills or stairs. Rides are fun and well laid out. Food is Fabulous, and a friendly atmosphere. Lots of places to get out of the sun, staff was very helpful. Map is clear and easy to use.
Love going to many events here!! They do need more shade though!!!
Apparently it pays to steal at the horse races here. Someone took a 5$ credit voucher that i left in a machine. At the information desk i learned my money was used to place a bet and they were able to track and halt it. The info desk guy told me i had to hope on their bet to win, which it did. However they actually paid the thief the remainder on the profit and only credited back my 5$ to me. I was told if the thiefs bet didnt win then i wouldnt get my money back at all. Pays to steal here i guess. I understand that vouchers need to be treated as cash but maybe management can figure out a way to not reward people who steal from other people at their establishment.
I stayed in the North RV park three nights in March, 2013. Basically, this is a parking lot with sewer, water, electrical and Wifi. The spots are small and neighboring trailers are close. However, I was overall happy with my stay and glad to have found this place in such a convenient location for a reasonable price. There was plenty of space to walk my dog, the RV grounds were kept very clean, and I felt that it was secure. The people in the office were courteous and efficient.
The Fair going on is very good and amazingly organised. Good time out for parents and kids for this summer. Not to be miss for kids in this vacation time.
Great place to go to see any activity being placed there.
Our site was s "back-in" and was not very level. The hookups were not conveniently located. Sites are very narrow and no good place to park your vehicle. Pull through sites are some better. Wouldn't ever stay here again if there were any options.
I have gone to the fairgrounds for countless events and enjoyed them. I think the grounds are fairly well equipped.
We were very disappointed this year. The amount of "stuff" to see and do is down about 1/3 from what it was last year. And last year seemed to have less than the year before. The prices continue to increase, we only go on Wednesday when we can donate to the food bank or foster children. If you donate than entry is free. Great deal. A lot of the food vendors (food trucks, etc) didn't come back this year. The buildings are full of some of the same vendors. In the empty spots, they put matress companies or spa companies which take up a lot of space. We usually go to the fair 3 times every year. We went once this year and don't think we will be returning. So sad since this was our family tradition every summer.
The Alameda County Fair is a blast!! Great cheap ticket prices (free for military) and tons of activities! The concerts are all free past admission and they bring some great artists!
Didn't see fair parking lot parked across the street but for the event good amount of parking it was packed. Saw adoption fair easy layout fairly wheel chair accessible but definitely had adoption areas on grass that would be harder to access. Gentle slopes.
Review on the RV park. The park is nice, but the people running the RV section are people who do not know what they are doing. The front office has no idea what is going on in the park and if anything goes wrong the front office person blames the camp host. Do not believe anything these people say. There is no long term stay unless you would like to play musical chairs/spots with your RV. Because we travel for work and due to where we were working this was the only place to stay!! Save yourself the headache go somewhere else....The south lot has police in and out of there on a weekly basis due to various crimes according to our camp host but the front office put us there anyway nice!!!! forget about customer service they do not know what this is.........
Could have been more Dinosaurs exhibits at Dinosaurs Fest
The lead and assistance manger of event operations are extremely racist against white people. It's not a pleasant place to work if you can't speak Spanish. Total disrespect to there employs
We ve visited The Lantern lights, they were good but saw less lights yesterday.. expected more for the price ticket for 31$, parking 10$, pony ride is 10-15$, and train is another.. so for that value don t get to be fully satisfied..
Still the once that were there are good.. see below pics

Great RV park, security is excellent and the service is very good as well. There's laundry, an RV store with propane, and plenty of space to ride bikes. The only negative is that the spaces are ridiculously close together but they do have all three hook ups
Love this place .Don't want leave so much fun,Rides ,Food,Educational program.
Good food(expensive) went for goodguys get together , nice cars on exhibit indoor/outdoor autocross, burnout contest and 1/4 midgets
Love this fair. Gone over 50 years. This year I won first price and third prize for my stained glass painting art.
Expensive camping, a little run down, you should weed eat around your electric outlets. Camping sites are really close to each other. But it's a ok place to stay if it's for one night.
Best fair in the bay area. I've been to all of them and this one has a little bit of everything for the family
