Handy access to many local attractions and everything worked. The bathroom and laundry areas are clean. The employees were friendly and pleasant. The spaces are small and packed in tight. Most sites have bare ground and sparce gravel, but some have grass. A nice stop along the way.

Growing up in MN this is as good of a fairground experience as any. Classic fare of fair foods but a bit on the commercial generic side. Would love to see this stepped up for personality and more mom/pop flavors presentation and taste but that's not to say there aren't some real winners in their offerings. Specifically I loved the tots n brisket I ordered which were fantastic, and there's definitely an array of interesting fair only kinds of foods you'll find. Alameda County Fair is great because it also has the traditional offerings like county art, baking competitions, farm animal and plant competitions, etc. This year we were even treated with legit horse races and betting. Worth a trip but come early for parking and look for Groupon deals which are a significant savings over the door prices.

Came here for thre Alameda County Fair today. Way bigger than I thought it was when I arrived, I appreciated the many food spots which meant you never had to wait that long in a line for food. Could do with some gluten free or vegetarian options for more variety of diets to be observed. Was very fun!

Senior day! Get in free if over 62! Rides, drinks, and food you never dreamed of. Kinda expensive, $4 sodas, $13 BBQ turkey legs, $13 Jack Daniel slush drinks. Want to add fries and soda to your burger? Just add $7 makes it a combo, really? Go broke eating, not me! Shopping galore, beds, hot tubs, clothes, bird feeders, new collar for your pets and more. Free shows thru out the day; magic, music, motor cross to name a few. Free nightly concerts with fair addmission. Great way to spend a hot afternoon.

Looove it! But expensive. I got to see iconic SHELIA E. Perform here front row with awesome seating!

You have to pay for parking aside from ticket, rides, food etc.

But you will find some of the best carnival food here because every booth is competing lots to see & tons of lights & rides. I

Every year the fair implements another charge or fee. The free concerts are no longer free. Last night the band on the main stage never even showed up. I wonder if they will reimburse people or if they'll use some hidden clause to keep the money. I used to rave about this place to everyone I came in contact with. No more. It used to be the best. Not so much anymore.

The line to get into the fair is poorly managed (like TSA without the thrill of flying). When you get in the fairgrounds though, it is great. Beautiful grounds, fun games and attractions, with some interesting finds in the Shopping area.

1)It is dwindling down. Not as many seller booths selling handmade things. Mostly being sold there now is from China or somewhere else in the Asian community.
2) food and drink prices are ridiculous, i mean $4.00 for water, really!!!!

Easy to get to, although there s lots of traffic on a Friday afternoon. Went for the night market and it wasn t overly crowded. Vendors were a little too spread out but enjoyed the space and amenities.

When the Alameda County Fair comes around this is the place to be! These fairgrounds host a very large variety of events throughout the year! There s a nice horse racing track and golf course. I love how many open buildings and trees there are here!

It s a good idea to find a parking spot farther away for large events so that you don t have to pay for parking.

Stayed at Fairgrounds RVPark one night. Curteous volunteer host and camp attendant Didn't have a reservation but they were able to accomodate drop ins easily. Only hassle was my fault for not having a reservation, Camp host was on duty, attendant was out to lunch and she couldn't check in people unless they had a reservation. Clean, quiet, easy access, wide back in spot, real good internet, ez use full hookups. There's even a RV store in the campground with the best Propane prices in the area. $3.59 + 10% discount for over 10 gals, & gave me another 10% for paying cash! I'll definitely stay here again when in the area.
