Alameda County Fairgrounds Review

I was there for the Goodguys Auto Show and there was a lot of room for the cars on display. Just not enough room for the cars to drive around where there aren't pedestrians.

Went to the dinosaur exhibit with the kids and they had a blast. Could have had a little more added to the dinosaur theme and possibly some tour guides to offer more opportunities for the kids to become educated on what they were looking at and enjoying. And last but not least some free rides.

a lot of events, close to freeway, plenty of parking, near downtown, a lot of old charm

The co2 from all the generators in the midway will make you sick. The food is standard fair food. Although the portions seem to be greater than I remember as a kid but that's the way America is moving isn't it? The lack of flavor doesn't justify the price of the food. Kids will have a good time. Lots to see when there's event going on here. Horse racing, Live stock, agriculture, arts and crafts, t-shirt painting, model trains, wood carvings, petting zoo and much much more. Including musical acts that were big when you were a kid! WOW!

Lots of events are here. Only drawback the rape you for parking in dirt.

It's a great place to go for the fair experience. . Hot as hell but still good.

This place always has something going on. A very well maintained facility, the only downside is the traffic while attempting to park

It's clean with a lot of Events that are family oriented. It's the only good county fairgrounds around also!

Remember to wear *very* comfortable footwear because it is a very large fairgrounds.

Halloween bounce review: Great! Caring and alert staff, many activities. Reasonably priced, just read the whole list because the bundles save alot. Stayed 3x longer than I had estimated, and then had to drag the twins away.

A bit pricey but it's worth it the visit at lease once. For a hot day not many shady areas to rest.

Had a blast at the monster truck show my two boys loved it and the fireworks show didn't disappoint my wife had a blast with kiddies and I can't wait till next year don't forget to save your cups for next year's refills them drink prices add up

I was stage there as a base camp for the wild land fires normally the fair is amazing during the summertime with all of the fair and exciting fun stuff

The fair can get very expensive, but there's something for everyone! Parking is $10. Consider taking BART and bus!

Fun place to go with family or groups. Different events keep it interesting, you can find yourself there several times a year without realizing it.

Alameda county fairgrounds has 2 rv Parks within its spacious fairgrounds in pleasanton ca. Very safe..not a lot of shade.good power.water.sewer. lots of room to walk the dog.cat.mom.dad.kids. close to downtown pleasanton. Safeway less than half mile or less ace train stop nearby. Good staff. The SF bay area has very few tv facilities. The fairgrounds: is a good value compared to the overpriced alternatives.longer term is allowed. There are blackout dates. Showers in south rv.

The alameda county fair is a great place to be in with your friends, family or lover. Lot of game and food stands but most of the food is unhealthy. The bast one are Mexican stands because the're more healthy then most of the food stand.

Been going there since early 80s for Goodguys carshow.

I came to Alameda Fairgrounds for the first time to attend my first Good Guys Car Show. Ever since I was a kid I heard about the Goodguys car shows and I never made it to 1. So this time around I made it a point to get out to the 2019 Autumn get together! I am a all-around mechanic for all different brands of vehicles, and lately I've been into import tune Hondas and other things. Good Guys Car Show is mostly American V8 cars for those who are wondering. I had a great time.

Had a great time seeing Sheila E.. The food is priced so outrageously high that you may want to eat a big meal before going. Overall it was a fun time.

It is a fair grounds, every thing is a long walk, food is off the charts expensive.
Preferred parking which I always use is on the grass, cooler and not dusty.
FUN though.

It was nice going to the night market. Never go late lol Learned my lesson, but my little one had a good time

Nice size fair lots of building to walk thru but a little disappointed about the livestock barn closed for transportation since when sad I didn't get to see the 4h and ffa lambs, goats, pigs, steers

Deaf Nations is awesome! Thank to the place to allow Deaf Nations host it for thousands of Deaf people coming to see new and novation for our community. Hey I'm giving 5 star to the snack bar where they sell awesome burger! Parking pay.... errrrrr way to much money. Overall experience was fantastic. I would come back for the burger and Pepsi!

We love the ACF! They work hard to keep the fairgrounds very clean and full of great exhibits. They offer many different discounts depending on the day of the week so if you have ever served the country, can donate canned food, or want unlimited rides before 5pm, check their calendar. They have many bands that play but we've never stayed for it.

One of the biggest draws has to be the All Alaskan piglet races, we make a beeline for them every year! The Chinese Acrobat show is also fantastic, and the food assortment is decent considering it isn't just row after row of corndogs, fries, turkey legs, and cotton candy/frozen lemonade. They have Italian, Mexican, Asian, American BBQ, Mediterranean by way of gyros, to name a few. The only gripe i have us not enough rides for the 'inbetween' little ones (age 4-6), and also the midway is painted black, so not only are you roasting in the heat but your kids get filthy as hell. Other than that, we love the Alameda county fair and look forward to it every year.

Big campus with many options, expo buildings and area is quite dated

Alameda County Fair is super fun for kids and parents alike. A great and fun day out.

I usually go to the golf course inside the race track. 3 stars because it is a small course well maintained where you can use driver for sure on 2 and perhaps 3 if you can control it to about 170 yds. Fantastic place to practice your irons and putts. Very well maintained. There is a driving range in the same area near the golf course where you can use driver from grass as on a tee box. Limit 270yds. If you can hit more than 270yds, there are mats too.

Always fun to experience different events and exhibits

Went to the Lantern Light Festival, the place was set up nice. The Lanterns were beautiful.

We had not stayed here before & were surprised at how small each site is. Some are hard to get into with either a trailer or Class A/B RVs. It s almost all gravel with very little grass in the camp area which made it hotter. I do have to say the shower/restrooms though a little outdated were very clean. Staff were very nice each time I had questions. We would stay here again if it was only 2/3 days but not for the 7 days we were there.

Pet Fair. Lots of great products so of course, it was crowded. Luckily lots of parking.

Tickets are pretty expensive for the rides most rides cost about $5. I recommend taking out some cash you are willing to spend and only spending that amount. This way you can get some festival food, then spend more time focusing on the cool free stuff. I recommend all of the animal exhibits especially the racing pigs (I've seen this show three times, love it everytime.)

I go to this fairgrounds all the time, all the events are great and I prefer these fairgrounds over mine in Santa Clara CA. They have all the things our fairgrounds used to and it is clean and still very family....

Great food choices, very pricey. Family fun. Vets and first responders free admission.

I love coming here for events. The county fair at the end of june is my favorite.

Super fairgrounds, but at this time it is base camp for all the around.

Never disappoints! Look forward to this fair every summer. So many fun things to check out. Wide variety of rides and shows. Good options for entrance costs. Yummy fair food!!!

One of the best county fairgrounds. Plenty of parking space but it s all on the outdoor muddy space, that s something I wish they do a asphalt structure. We always enjoyed going there

Great way to enjoy a carnival. Only issue is there traffic to get to the parking lot

Expensive if you buy anything really. Though good and fun atmosphere, shows and attractions. Family oriented

Always great, always something new to see. New foods to try, music,horse racing. Go experience it before it's gone

This lantern festival is a rip off. Most of the area was closed. 10 minutes and you're done. I would never come back here again. Made a mistake, should have went to the one in Vallejo.
