Al Koot Insurance & Reinsurance Company Review

One of the worst insurance co. , they just trying to escape from covering any medical issue .. they always find a way to run.

I have been trying to get an approval for 4 weeks, I just keep getting a msg, additional info required.. we have submitted 11x and I get a msg saying under review..I phone ask what is the issue what must I send, what else do they need.. I do everything and again under review.. declined.. we have called & emailed multiple times, asking to speak to a manager, to get told we will get someone to contact you, 4x weeks down the line no one has contacted us.. all the necessary info and proof has been sent .. they declined again today and said we need more info, we resubmit again and now they say they don t cover the procedure.. yet they are paying for someone else I know who is having the procedure done and someone who did the procedure 3 weeks ago..
Alkoot your service is terrible, your communication does not exist, your staff sound like they r reading a text book and don t deal with matters .. and your lack to approve urgent care appalls next.. Qatargas has made a big mistake if this is how you are going to treat patience s who need serious care.. very disappointed..

First of all, it always takes long time to get approval. Not all the cases were approved tho even medical reports were provided. The medical provider also complained about dealing with Alkoot. Not practical at all. The company should be given less than a star. There should be a standard to approve the case not case by case!

Worst one ...always take too long to approve request and after waiting always reject even the doctor prescribed 2 times ..

In my life, I have only dealt with two insurance companies, and frankly, if all insurance companies are like Kut, say peace to people.
Delaying without justification to administer the samples, including very important things such as surgeries and physical therapy
He refused some of the therapeutic drugs that were written by the attending physician, and after the phone call, the approval was granted, and we were in a popular market for selling commercial goods and underwear.
A real state of lack of awareness among the employees, and we may be instructed in their roles

It wasn t possible to give no stars. This company render the App completely useless in the process of claims, the only purpose of the app is to inform you the claim has been rejected. Which they nearly always find a way of doing. The hilarious thing is you can not enquire if a treatment is covered until you place the claim! If you are looking to cover the health of your family then do your mental health a favour and avoid this company at all costs.

The worst insurance, the most stingy and the one who cares less about their costumers.. Unfortunately is the kind that just wants to make profit and profit and ignore costumers issues..
If you can avoid it... Avoid it! Or forget about having a claim gone through!

Worst insurance company in the world. They don't cover anything. Pre-approvals are never authorised, unless you're dying. Stay away from Al Koot!!

This is the worst insurance company ever. My company had a contract before with Allianz and everything was ok. In the beginning of 2019 my company decided to sign a new contract with Alkoot and since this time the nightmare started.
They are searching for any excuse to avoid paying. I have a serious heart problem and they refused to cover saying that it s congenital issue. I provided medical reports from the best doctors in London staring that it s not a congenital issue and I m in a high risk of heart failure in the next few months but they refused again with no excuse. Literally they want me to die quietly.

They are slow, messy, always late, and everytime you call them you have to tell them your case from A to Z again. They don t write notes and updates.

The customer care agent told me once he forwarded my case to their global partner, and after 10 days of waiting And daily calls and shouting, I discovered that he didn t forward anything.

This company is a pain. They are not professional and they don t care if you die or not.
Really if you want to stay in Qatar and your company has a contract with Alkoot, try to avoid working with this company because you will really suffer.

Extremely bad service, I have an Elite policy, and I have to wait for many hours with many back and forth phone calls for blood test and admission approvals, for my wife who is diagnosed high-risk pregnancy. Do not recommend for any individual or company. Do not feel they care about the patients situation more than caring about saving money.

Conveniently located. Very fast and efficient service. You can be in and out in 2 mins flat. Parking is easily available as well

Rejected approx 65% of lab test prescribed by gynecologist without specifying a valid reason. Worst insurance provider i have ever used.

The worst insurance company i have ever dealt with.

Starting from long approval hours to refusing almost all cases .

In a year i couldn't reimburse one single invoice! Medical providers lost trust in them and doctors refuse to write you a scan or an important medicine because they know it will get rejected . Most of the medications are not covered . I didn't get an approval for my blood test during pregnancy while my life was at high risk. They revisit all the reports and judge based on their own opinions knowing zero information about the patient health condition or history.

I couldn't get lots of important medications for my son due to Alkoot policy .

I don't recommend dealing with this company .

The worst insurance company ever !! They never trust any doctors and their costumers and they reject all the requests made from any hospital with a big delay (minimum 30 mins) with partially approve or a rejection. I am really shocked about their doctors experience which they reject any requests comes to them and I think they never worked as a doctor before !! .

This is the worst insurance company I have come across as the claim process is cumbersome. All documents were submitted through app but they keep.asking for different documents which they can ask at one time instead of sending different emails ..they ask me why were the test conducted and send reports proving why to the doctor asked to do a test, when the said tests were suggested by a cardiologist ..this is the most irritating claim process I have come across ... This health insurance is not recommended

If there is an option to rate it with zero star i would,
i dont recomend it at all, its there job to insure that you dont get treated under any circumstances , even if the patient is in a serious critical condition.

it seems that they reached an extent that the company focus in profit ignoring all ethnics.

unfortunately the qatar society is not familiar with this review, but the word on the street that this is the worst insurer in the middle east.

a word to all expacts working or planning to in qatar try your best in not allowing your employer to provide u with this insurance company.

if any one has any doubts about my review, contact any of the well known private hospital in qatar and ask them of the percentage of rejection to patients to be treated by the insurer, dont be surprised if the percentage exceeded 85%.

Among the worst insurance companies, all rejected insurance requests that are made by recovering the amount only benefit with clinics and hospitals that accept insurance directly. As for the customer s payment and recovery of the amount, they go with them in news that there was no subsequent or invalid, but the approvals are not met. Very very bad.

The worst insurance ever, you better pay for yourself than get insured with these thieves

They need century to send an approval when u visit some hospital. I had to wait almost one hour to get approval for dentist and later on when I got prescription, they don't cover medication that moment. Again they need to contact them and again one century of waiting. Disgusting

Reimbursement of claims take a long while. They stated it takes 15 days but it is way more than that turn around time.
