My daughter and I were in the heath park where she broke her arm 2 places. We arrived by helicopter to the hospital at 8 pm and she was operated 2 hours later. We have subsequently been admitted 2 days .. Nice food, professional staff and friendly .. We are from Denmark and everyone has tried to communicate with us at a high level.

We felt well treated by everyone. The doctors were super and equally nurse ..

Thanks for everything .. We are grateful to Germany

Waiting time with a child 6 years old 5 hours and ...

Waiting time with a child 6 years old 5 hours and 30 min. There is only one doctor there on a Saturday night. For the city of Hamburg. That's a joke? Wonder me who is planning something like that.

I think if they were the third person in life-threatening condition, the doctor definitely won't grow two more hands. I took my card and hope to never have to go there again.

PS: If you seem to make more noise and shout around, you will be picked up faster and immediately. Apparently people have already had experience with this and come in screaming and start discussing before the child is even examined.

In 5 hours, of course, you also have time to get an idea of the hygiene of a hospital. That is the main entrance. I didn't take a picture of the toilets ... just switch on your imagination.

So of course I donated, the condition of the hospital is embarrassing for Hamburg. 5 hours of parking. With that, the hospital can certainly afford a second doctor for the next Saturday evening ...

My daughter was there for an ankle surgery after a sports accident. All employees there are very friendly and have a very nice address to the children. All questions will be answered promptly and competently. There is good food and a choice for breakfast and dinner. It tasted very good to my daughter. The station has coffee, drinks and fruit for the parents around the clock. My daughter and we felt very well looked after there. She only had to stay two nights. We are very satisfied and grateful and would recommend the AKK at any time.
Regarding the complaints about the emergency room: I can only - unfortunately - say from my own experience that you are treated in every hospital immediately if necessary. And that you have to wait if it is not life threatening. sometimes many hours.
I see it like this: I'm always glad that I don't feel like I can get there straight away. Last year was enough for me (it was in the adult hospital in Altpona), it was my turn - it was just life-threatening.

We were sent to our Altona Children's Hospital wit...

We were sent to our Altona Children's Hospital with our almost 2 year old son for petechiae by our pediatrician for blood sampling.
The waiting time was acceptable due to the empty hospitals in Corona times - but the treatment was not.

The staff left their function open (sister? Doctor?), Name badges were missing.
Before the examination, we were told that the doctors would decide whether it was necessary for us to stay.
The blood draw was a tour - it seemed as if the doctor was doing this for the first time, had to change her utensils twice ("this is how it works"), it took ages. After our son did well, he started to cry terribly after a few minutes. Why can't you at least give the children security on their parents' lap, but rather keep them lying on the couch?
After the blood was drawn, a smear of the cheek and throat was done - it is a mystery to me why one does these short, pain-free things only after the child is completely dissolved. Completely wrong order.

Despite repeated inquiries ("So, you can now go to the ward."), We couldn't understand why we should stay and what exactly the hospital was observing during this time ("[...] and we also have beds available" ). Our inquiries were apparently taken as criticism and at last we were even told "other parents would have already released their children's organs for donation".
No thoughtful and questioning parents seem to be welcome here.

We decided to go home - and this was the right decision for us.

We then had to call the hospital until the next evening to inquire about blood results.
And it took 6 (!!!) weeks and every few days a phone call until the report was finally sent to us.

We were in the emergency room with our 2 year old ...

We were in the emergency room with our 2 year old from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., because in the evening she suddenly complained of pain in both feet and screamed and cried like a stick for 2 hours. She trembled and kept trying to scratch and rub your feet. Since the child was expressly in severe pain in our eyes, we are off immediately. The reception was already hypothermic and you already felt undesirable. After almost 4 hours of waiting, it was our turn and the doctor came up with an arrogant way nothing better than "and because of the 2 pimples come here and next time please not because of such trifles" we do not understand by "we treat your child like our own. I think nobody is having" fun "with his toddler half an night in an emergency room for no reason. Our daughter has cried the night and is now sitting in bed and crying again keeps your feet in pain, so today we're looking for another doctor to listen to us, with the exception of the lady at the service point and a nice nurse.

Addendum: Our little one has been diagnosed with a very painful and watery athlete's foot, which has caused her pain all weekend. So much for the little pimple, doctor.

So far, twice in the emergency room a few years ago. Both canceled after five or six hours and now this day:
"In consultation with our senior physician of radiology, unfortunately, I can only confirm the testimony of our employee.

The radiology has unfortunately only a cash register for patients up to the age of 6 years. The decision on the age limit is incumbent to our regret not with us, but the KV Hamburg. Therefore, we can not offer you an appointment, because we have to adhere to the guidelines given to us. Please understand this. "

Have been referred by the pediatrician to the Altona Children's Hospital for x-rays. But they are not allowed to x-ray children from the age of 6 years. At the age of 12, my son is too old for this "children's hospital".

Yesterday, I was there with my one-year-old son to reduce the throat tonsil and insert tympani tubes there. Everything went well. The doctors were very nice and made a competent impression. A huge praise goes to sister Kerstin, who was ALWAYS very nice and quiet despite the excitement. She gave us a really good feeling and always stood by us. Really great

Today I even got a call because my son forgot his scarf there. It will be sent to me by mail. How great is that please?

Always happy, even if I hope that it is not necessary.

I can only say positive things about the staff at the intensive and imc. We felt well treated and cared for at all times. Everyone did their best, I would come back anytime. However, we noticed two things that we believe are more than flawed. When moving from Pnz to Imc, we had to go through a cold, dirty hallway. The sister then said that there were also the changing rooms for the employees. It should be possible to maintain a certain degree of cleanliness there too! And then we and my babies who were monitored on the monitor and are not yet 100 percent stable got stuck in the elevator, luckily only for a short time. But for us as parents it was long enough ..... yes, all of that happened in the actual building of the AKA .... The wards are part of the children's hospital. And that should be revised!

This was our first time at the Alotona Children's Hospital.
Although we live on the other side of the city.
I had hoped to meet completely exhausted employees on Saturday, and to take hours of waiting.
This was not the case.
The reception at the registration was very friendly.
The lady referred us to the emergency room.
The lady in the emergency room was really friendly and understanding. The wait was not long. We waited in the cafeteria. The staff there was very friendly and helpful.

The doctor was also friendly and competent.

We were pleasantly surprised, and can only recommend the hospital.

The first time yesterday on 01.09.2016 dagewesen at lunchtime when we arrived at the front of the registration nix of us as we were allowed to wait a few minutes. When we finally knew where we had to go (1 floor) was only said that we should first go to the ultrasound so again down. However, we were allowed to wait 20 minutes only because we were informed that the doctor until 14 clock lunch break was allowed so we had to wait over a whole hour. When we finally drove there we were just 5 minutes drinne in my opinion, you could have done that before the break but in this hospital, no consideration for patients. Then he sent us back to the top (1 floor) because we were told that the responsible doctor is no longer in the house and they wanted to report this morning what has not even happened. Then we were sent home and it was already 15 o'clock and since we were still allowed to travel by train 2 hours to the house, we were only at home in the evening. So I'm glad if I never have to go back to this hospital.

The doctors are not going to work in this hospital

positive: can i say immoment nothing

negative: bad advice, very long waiting times

Our son had a very long stay in orthopedics in the AKK. I have to say so friendly and competent staff I have rarely experienced. Starting with the doctors, who have understood us to take our fear a bit. From the nursing staff to the cleaning staff.
Thanks for that, you all do a great job.

I had to wait a long time, but all the staff were very nice!

The young pediatrician, in particular, was incredibly personable and very empathetic, just as you would like when you have to go to the hospital with your child.
The waiting area (in the emergency ambulance) was sad and boring!

Possibly this was corona-related, but there were really no things to distract the children or books / magazines to read. There wasn't even a picture or a wall sticker with which you can pass the waiting time for your child.

That is not bad, it is a hospital, not an amusement park, but as a suggestion: Wall tattoos or hidden objects behind glass are probably not germs and distracted children and parents are more relaxed and patient when there is a lot going on and the waiting time is correspondingly longer;)

We were with our son (1 year and 4 months), because of multiple allergies and atopic dermatitis, in Altona Children's Hospital and are really excited. Since the KV doctor has failed to sign us up, we had to wait from 10pm to 1.30pm to get into our room. But it was also very busy that evening. But despite all the stress, the nursing staff is very very friendly and helpful The only negative, which I would have to complain about, is that in our room there are no clothes hooks. Except for two in the wardrobe but they are not for visitors or for the staff. That would be as I said, the only thing to complain about.

Was operated on the legs 3 times, due to X-legs and can only give positive things from me. Despite the full station, everything went very smoothly. Sisters treat you very kindly, I felt very comfortable, advice and treatment went great. Always happy, even despite being 150 km away, unfortunately only 18 years old, but a big recommendation to all known doctors and doctors.

Once and never again !!!

I was in the clinic with my daughter because she broke her arm and was supposed to be operated there. Miss Dr. Stracke did not want to operate my daughter and not in the hospital, but just restrain the broken arm and make a bandage around.
My daughter screamed in pain. When I tried to calm her down, the nurse slipped my hands away. Even the people in the corridor were shocked because they knew everything.
I stopped treatment immediately and then drove to the Willhelmstift, where the necessary surgery was done.

It's a shame if some people are looking for the wrong job. For the second time we did not feel welcome in the emergency room. 1.) I am very happy and grateful that we have the opportunity to put our children in the hands of well-trained doctors.
2.) We were there a few weeks ago with our child, bad laceration on the head. All blood. I don't know if it had a concussion or something. The wound was provisionally cared for 1 hour after admission (without cleaning, rinsing, disinfecting or anything else). After a further 4 hours of waiting, treatment was given for five minutes. Wound was finished glued. Arrival at home at 2 a.m.
My conclusion: dear clinic,
I know that you are doing your best and many parents will definitely visit you for little things, but nevertheless (!) Treating a child of 1.5 years only after 5 hours of waiting (hand on heart) is not possible.
Please try something better there.
Many thanks to the staff on site.

Actually a good hospital because my little brother...

Actually a good hospital because my little brother had an operation on his hand years ago they did a great job but when we got to the emergency room with our child it was a disaster, one of them doesn't know what the other was doing the day before has, waiting times with a 10-day-old baby 5 hours and the following day another 5 hours, because on Sunday no one could say what the little one had and the chief doctor wanted to look at it again, but unfortunately the chief doctor did not show up on Monday either, why are fairy tales told?
But really the worst is the waiting times they are incredibly long, "come again tomorrow between 8: 00-8: 15 that shouldn't take long" at 9 came then two hours had asked the same thing as the doctor on Sunday, and then until 12 o'clock !!! Nothing happens, then he went to the X-ray registration to ask how long it could take and the lady says we were not registered but she knows "stay in examination room 2, someone will pick you up" !!!!!! !!! What's the point.

Catastrophe !!!

I got mixed feelings here.
First aid and triage services are horrible.
Wayyyy too long (hours) to check on vital signs or provide 1st aid (not just a one time experience).
Only after a Dr. has prescribed anything serious they start being effective.
I hope this review helps management training and equipping their front desk staff properly.

I'm sitting with my son in the waiting room somewhere in the AKK. Appointment was at 10 o'clock, the 2nd appointment was 12 o'clock. We were there at 9:30 and since then we have been waiting. It is now 12:21 clock and nothing happened. On request I was told, the registration is to blame. Thus, we have ever a guilty, but does not help us. But we are also only a cash patient. Thank you

Short addition: Now it is 13:15. Still nothing!

Was 5 years ago since my son was 6 years old. He was sick of delirium for days and extremely strong head and neck pain! It was clear to me from the beginning what that was, but a family doctor, first child care and a hospital turned us down and said it was just a little flu! Only our pediatrician (former doctor of the AKK) in our hometown 80km away believed us immediately and sent us there! These immediately made a liquid puncture and lo and behold a meningitis. The doctors told us there was only a 50:50 chance that he would have to survive the night, then the worst was done! Long story short, AKK you are the best and I can only tell everyone with a child that there is something serious or suspicion off to Altona!

We were now 2 times with our son for 1 week in the AKK in the orthopedic department. Our experience with this hospital is consistently positive. We have found here what you as worried parents especially needed: that you are taken seriously and that you are treated warmly. There is also one, as far as I can judge the layman, professional competence that I have experienced in any hospital. Our special thanks go to Dr. med. Spiro. Many thanks also to the whole team. No question remained unanswered, no request was ignored. Thank you!

If I could I would give 0 stars. Were there with our 10 week old daughter who had coughing, rattling breath sounds and slimy expectoration. After more than 3 hours waiting time and all people came to us off which came to far after we were allowed to ask us the responsible sister annoyed and snotty reply that we can still ran and the sisters determine who gets ran when. And since our daughter is currently sleeping, it is not so acute.

At our reply that she was in pain she just looked at us almost astonished and left.

Is really the last one.

We were twice for a complex foot surgery in the AKK. Once we were in surgery because the orthopedics was too full. But the doctors came to us regularly and the care was really good!
At the moment, my son is on orthopedics after the 2.OP. Again, he feels very well taken care of. The sisters do not even complain that the 10th ringing in a short time, but are always friendly!
The operations are just great, despite the complexity. My sincerest thanks
to the team around Dr. med. Kirchmann!
I would also like to express my admiration to the ladies in the service center at the reception!
What's going on, before that, I pull my hat! Chapeau!
The only thing that is not so good, would be the food. Hospital just.

My daughter was admitted by a pediatrician. Appendicitis! Waiting time at registration was really abnormal! Especially because it was appendicitis! Without fever but with pain !! Then of course she shouldn't eat or drink anything until 5pm! (We were at the pediatrician at 8:00 am. Then we went straight to the KKH.) Afterwards, she made it clear that my daughter was given a pain reliever and that the next day she was operated on. Get on the op plan! It was all very annoying.
Now to the staff. At the ward the nurses were all very nice, the doctors were very open and friendly and took the time to talk. The hospital is clean (with exceptions)! .... the cleaning man! on station i2 is not thorough !!! There was no mopping under the beds! I have clearly seen better at other stations. I also spoke to the staff there. Don't go, especially since it is a "surgical" ward!

The 4 stars for the evaluation are dedicated only to the nurses and doctors, so thumbs up !!!

So now I would like to get some air on the AKK Altona! Yesterday afternoon I was with my 4th year old son high fever 40.5, drove to the emergency room. Go to registration, where I was already thrown from the far a totally annoyed look. So after the motto ohh no not another one! Hello, what's up ?? Your question !! I told her that my son had a high fever. What can be reduced badly. Breathlessness, sore throat, and that he does not want to drink. He was really looked at really doll, that he is dog misery! Your question, what are you doing here? Why am I not a pediatrician? !! I told her we were already there yesterday. her answer ahja! Then she threw a sentence behind that brought me directly to 180 !! For that, I would have preferred to go to her throat which was as follows. He can still stand then it will not be so bad! HELLO ?!!!! Give me a bow to fill in, and said, however, have a very long wait. Yes, the waiting time was actually 3:15! Now to the pediatrician! Came in Hi said hello sat down at her table and asked a lot. My son was sitting on the couch behind her and wanted to tell her where it hurts. She did not care much! Said to him please be quiet I speak with your mother. Should then pull him out for investigation. She felt it down. Then a colleague knocked on the door to say goodbye. She goes without a word to us out to him and makes first 10 minutes NEN Cluchschnack! My son was lying there in underwear, investigation Was not through! Diagnosis is scarlet fever.I then said to my son while she wrote prescription so sweetie after 4 hours we finally go home after that she said still leppish there are people waiting here 8 HOURS !! Incidentally, it is already the 3 times that I was in this emergency room, so counted on about 2 years. Unfortunately, all the visits there were more bad than right! And under child-friendly I understand something else !!!

Good day ,

Good day ,
we were on station 2 for 5 days with burns of my 13 year old son. All involved one can only express a high praise. From the reception over the doctors to the nurses, I can only report positive. Even the cleaning staff was very friendly, compassionate and extremely helpful. We felt very well taken care of.
Everyone who is upset about the long waiting time is said the following ..... not every ailment is equal to the trip to a hospital attached. Some trifle delays the treatment of really bad cases. Everyone should first consider whether this is really a case for starting immediately or rather for the on-duty emergency doctor. The number should be clear to every parent ..... 116 117 Nationwide.
The AKK should be said .... keep it up. You are doing a great job. Do not lose your smile with unqualified statements.
