I am used to being a homeowner and decided to relocate to Ohio. I didn t want to buy immediately and thought I would rent first. The process of dealing with AIY Properties was seamless. I rented the property site unseen and upon arrival I was so happy. The area of the property is safe and the apartment itself was in immaculate condition. The company definitely takes pride in their name and making sure the tenant and owners are happy. I moved 1500 miles and being able to move into a quality home and knowing the property management company had my best interest all along the way was everything!

Terrible company to rent from. Our check got lost in the mail (with many others as the office ladies told us) and they refused to not deposit the check if we were to pay online, basically charging us twice in one month. When asked why they couldn't rip the check up if it were to show up, they said there would be a charge and that AIY properties isn't responsible. Who is responsible then? When talking to the office on the phone I talked about setting up their auto-payment method to which the office lady informed me that they have had multiple problems of tenants getting charged twice when their account is set up for auto-pay. They don't refund you, it just goes towards next month's rent.

I lived there for 5 years and I never had a problem or any issues. They didn't give me a problem with breaking my lease because I decided to buy a house. The ladies in the office actually offered 2 different pays that I could pick to pay for breaking my lease and it was outrageous.

Been at an AIY property for 3 years now. After reading some reviews I thought I d throw my two cents in. All in all the experience hasn t been bad. Only a few minor maintenance issues with drains and windows not properly locking. Honestly the place has been a lot quieter than I had anticipated when I moved in. The one complaint I do have though is their policy that states that rent is due on the 1st of the month which is fine but they give absolutely no grace period. This is the first company/place that I have ever rented where you didn t have until at least the 5th of the month before paying a late fee. Not only do they charge a late fee after the first but you lose any concession on the rent that you have been awarded and your rent automatically goes to full price for the duration of your lease. Also I am pretty sure that you will owe them any difference from prior months

Maintenance tickets will be open for months before they fix anything. They allow buildings to go months without anything being fixed. Example- I ve lived in the property for three years. The same dryer flu pipe is shifted/disconnect allowing fumes to not get vented properly, sump pump line has been disconnected from the downspout line for almost a year, same refrigerator has been in the Peking lot for 6+ Months. Same laundry card machine hasn t worked for 2 months. My dishwasher hasn t work for almost a year. They keep saying it will be fixed and nothing has happened I regret moving here.

I live at the Timber Top apartments in Akron. I have called several times and sent an email with pictures of the landscaping where I live. The land scaping literally looks like a jungle. Maintenance has been on the grounds at least 3 weeks ago servicing other areas of the property at Timber Top, but has ignore where I live. Weeds are at least 6 to 7 feet high no exaggerations. It has not been cut since May. To be honest it has not been cut at all since Spring. My request have been ignored and I'm tired of it. I've lived here for 3 years and contemplating if I will renew next year. In the winter they ignore where we live due to our apartment building sitting excluded on a high. I've had to call them to remove snow from our drive in which it sits on an incline. I've shoveled the sidewalks to keep everyone safe. The maintenance at this location is little to be desired with regards to the up keep of the place.

Been a tenant for 10 years, on time payments every month. Hardly ever bothered maintenance for issues. The one time we have to break lease early and move out of state we have issues and not clear information given to us. We left in June and lease wasn't up til end of August. When you become a non resident the online portal shuts off for you to make any remaining payments and then when you ask to make the final payments your given the answer WAIT for FINAL BILL. We did so only to be charged a late fee but one good thing it got rented before the end of our initial lease. But why a late fee (we wanted to pay before first anyways)... Told see lease anything after the first you get charged weren't told to send payments to anyone.Well we wouldn't have been charged is the argument I had with corporate if we were told CORRECT information. Apparently just send in your payments to corporate and hope they reimburse you if your apartment gets rented early. Point here is get all the correct information,$50 late fee is rediculus to tenants that loyal for 10 years.
