First off... To CJ Briggs... If you don't like the sound that is coming from the Base, why did you move there? I suppose you would move next to the airport and complain about the noise... Or near the dump and complain about the smell... It was there long before you were... And, the next time you enjoy one of your freedoms, go tell an Airman, a Soldier, a Marine that they are a bother to you - let's see what happens!!

It would've been good but I got shot at by the army for some weird reason.
The pharmacy has the worse new prescription assistance. Call wait 45 minutes in cue then when rings through and the person answers goes to a busy signal. Not just once but several times. Can't get much worse.
Very cool! I am new to Denver but have wondered abt the jets that fly over my apt several times a day. I'm close to Aurora so the jets are a regular presence here. I grew up in DC area so pretty used to having military neighbors. A little bit of home!
Very welcoming base. They gate guards personally welcome me to Buckley every time I pass by!

I have no photos, however when I was stationed at Buckley in 2004-2007 there was almost nothing there, after I separated in 2017 Buckley was the last base I visited before my DOS and I was amazed on how much it developed. Buckley was one of my favorite bases.
Excellent military base. Been going there as a kid and the service there is splendid. The cafeteria is great, the workers are great, and the food and groceries are great. 10/10
I love everything about Buckley AFB including our soldiers, however, when you see a soldier or someone driving a soldiers car litter all down 14 th in Denver, it completely makes me question what he has learned being an American who upholds the beauty and integrity of our country.
Great small base with most of the normal amenities of a big base.
A friend of mine served here. They have the best weather station ever. You can see it if you make arrangements.
It's a base; not much to say beyond that. Security checkpoint can be a bit slow at times but they are always courteous and professional.

The jets are so loud at night. Feels like I m on a battle ground or something, they don t need to fly so close to the houses it s WAY to loud. Seriously please
If I could give it no stars I would! It is literally the worst base I have ever been on. The commissary volunteers are rude and expect a hand out. The gym is dirty small and has the worst hours. There is only two gates open because they are understaffed and they would rather spend money on upgrading a road on the main gate oh not to mention that they close these gates randomly at the peak hours people should be going to work. It is by far the laziest most unprofessional lacking of common sense base I have ever been on. It s no wonder the Air Force is looked at like a joke.
Let's be clear here.....I do not want to be a wife or a lover because I deserve better! Whoever duped women were kidding themselves. This is how abandonment, fear, jealousy, conflict, over perfection, unloved babies are created & malnutrition are maladaptive/costly, and are based on a false standard of thinking, & Narcissism. I choose to not kiss a toad, a prince, or a robot.
On another note, curiously, what does our Governor getting out of the overly restriction of the mandated face mask order, especially during exersion?
I did not get anything out of this system and think it is all going to the pol/ rel. leaders. There is no good reason to play with it & it was planned.
Buckley AFB is the best. My husband retired from the Airforce. I go out there all the time to shop at the BX and to use the Pharmacy. Everyone is always so kind and helpful. Thank you to everyone for being so wonderful.

Let me just say i love these guys and what they do. I have true respect.. I am used to there jets flying over they do need to practice. BUT TODAY I AM NOT VERY HAPPY WHOEVER FLEW OVER OUR HOUSE TODAY WAS TOO LOW EXTREMELY LOW AND IT NOT ONLY INDUCED AN ANXIETY ATTACK IN MYSELF BUT MY 7YR OLD WAS OUTSIDE AND IT HURT HIS EAR DRUM. I CANT EXPLAIN HOW SCARY THIS WAS IM SURE YOU GUYS HAVE RADARS AND KNOW EXACTLY WHO DIDNT FOLLOW RULES TODAY HE WAS WAY TO LOW. PLEASE DINT DI THAT AGAIN!!!

It doesn't take very much to be a little kind and considerate to your neighbors; Everybody is not up at 0500 and raising hell through the neighborhood first thing in the morning, some people work LATE. Yet here they are doing mach maneuvers low enough to almost read their call letters, and nearly skimming the tops of my trees with their choppers first thing in the mornings.
Please, respect is a two way street, can we just take it up a couple hundred feet guys?!
This has been an active Air Force Base, known as Buckley Air Force Base, for the last 15 years! It was an ANG Base from the 1950s until 2000, but from 2000 to present it has been Buckley Air Force Base.

I'm not sure anyone can call this a base. It's more like an outpost. The facilities offered are severely lacking considering this place is in Denver. The commissary is terrible, prices always high, meat and produce was nasty looking. I guess they expected everyone to shop in town, but then you have to deal with nasty Aurora. I hated this place and everything around it. They treat the Army personnel and their families like second rate citizens. In the 3 yrs we were associated with the base we never felt welcomed by anyone at any building or facility.
Grew up there. My dad served 32 years there. Met some of the best men out there, real solid. Miss the smells and definitely the smell of the jet fuel lol
Buckley is such a nice base, lodging is wonderful, can't beat the price! If your passing through or staying in Denver, highly recommend!
Yes, this base is small and does lack certain amenities other larger bases have, but it is in the Denver metro area and near the Rocky Mountains. Plenty of places to go and things to see that make up for what the base lacks.
Buckley lacks several amenities that many other active duty bases have such as a movie theater and bowling alley. The Commissary, BX, food court, and gym are ok but that only makes this base average when compared to others.
Buckley AFB is great. It has many of the amenities of larger bases, but is not overwhelmingly large and confusing to get around on. The Rocky Mountain Inn is a great lodging facility.
CJ Nobiz if you don't like the noise then move away. The base was there long before your whining butt moved in. "I can't believe how much of a disturbance they're allowed to be" first of all they're an active military base so they couldn't care less what you have to say. Second you must have never served or known anyone who served if all you see them as is a "disturbance".

Small and quiet base for the most part considering when the jets take off. But I enjoy the community on base housing and it has a great supportive staff over there. Small commissary and exchange from what I'm used to but they still have the simple necessities if you're not looking to go far. Wide open spaces around and a lot of involvement from individuals here. I see a lot of complaints but it is what it is I suppose. I enjoy it here and I'm going to add some gorgeous photos we had shot here on base as well. I think people just need to look outside the box when it comes to exploring base and accepting it for what it is a small base that is still growing.
Customer Service was extremely helpful and courteous. Gave me all the answers I needed within minutes.
There's not much sound here in comparison to other duty stations. The duty station is ever expanding but still lacks the amenities. The landscape is beautiful to the east, but you have big city life to the west of the duty station. the cost of living is a bit over inflated in the area, so they are building more housing on base to alleviate that cost issue. The base gym is fairly new and they have a nice, but slight cramped, parent/child workout area and an indoor track on the second floor. However, the track requires at least 19 laps to get your 1.5 mile run in. 23 if you do your average 2 miler. They also offer a couple of courses on base to finish up your CCAF degree. The commissary and BX are fairly new, but you are better of getting household goods at the IKEA or Costcos here. The groceries are also inexpensive here.
I would give ZERO stars. I am a delivery driver and I have NEVER had a good experience with the gate attendants. They are rude, treat you as though you are below them and ignore you just because they can make you wait as long as they like. I waited over 15mins in the snow with ZERO other delivery vehicles in line. They forgot about me sitting there with all doors open to my vehicle. I brought it to the 'officers' attention, he then said because I complained he will restrict my access to the base. Well OK MR UNIFORM AND JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN... I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOU PEOPLE ANYWAY! DO NOT TREAT OTHERS LIKE THEY ARE DIRT ON YOUR SHOE! YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE!
