Aging Outreach Services hires "independent contractors" which means that they are not responsible for any misconduct by the caregivers they employ. They receive the money but not the responsibility. If they had their own employees and could actually be held accountable for those employees, perhaps they would be more discriminate in who they employ and send to their clients' homes. We are still having huge reprecussions from a horrible experience with an AOS "independent contractor" who was dishonest, stole money, credit cards and so much more. We are still dealing with legal ramefications over a year later. We complained to AOS about these issues and they kept this "caregiver" for almost a year after our complaint...they even stated that they had "suspisions" about this caregiver, yet they kept sending her to vulnerable clients. Hiring independent contractors only protects AOS and not the families who trust in them and pay for their services.

AOS sets their bar high for their professionalism, customer service and leadership in this registry industry. I have been doing healthcare staffing, quality control, case management and direct care for over 25 years. AOS strives hard to exemplify teamwork to others striving to grow in this industry.

The individuals who helped my mother, Chleyon Brown, over a 5 year period were amazing. All were professional, punctual, caring and thoroughly knowledgeable in caring for my mother. We could not have managed without them; they continue to remain our good friends. My husband and I highly recommend AOS. The administrative staff at AOS was also wonderful to work with.

Finding my 94 year old mother on the floor of the shower with a broken hip was devastating and life changing for both of us. However, one month later upon her discharge from the hospital I found myself in a situation that I was ill equipped and unprepared to manage. How do I keep my mother home and safe while working my full time job? How do I spend time with my children and grandchildren when my mother could not be left alone? I made one call to Aging Outreach Services and they came to our home right away. Five minutes into that initial consultation I knew we would be ok. They organized a schedule of amazing caregivers that not only met the needs of my odd work hours but also allowed my mom to stay in the house she loves. I simply lack the vocal range to sing their praises high enough!

As a self-employed, independent contractor, I enjoy working with AOS. The logistics they provide allows me the freedom to focus my efforts on client care interaction. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and patient. I would recommend Aging Outreach Services, and would use the service for my family if ever there was a need.

I contacted AOS several years ago as I needed to understand what resources were available for aging parents as I do not live close-by and ensuring my family is well cared for is a top priority. AOS is a one-stop shop. They are accredited, trustworthy, and made the process of finding resources for my mom and dad easy. The quarterly visits provide me with an update and some suggestions of items to do to improve my parents quality of life and the caregiver i've selected is one that my family trusts. I could not be any happier with the services they are providing and the time they take to ensure they understand my needs. I've also found that their services and yearly fee for quarterly check-ins and enrollment is quite reasonable, especially given the caliber of individuals with whom i've had the pleasure to engage. Thank you AOS.

I want to give a major thank you to Shae Unsworth. Today I had a very difficult day with a client. I was in tears. She made it bearable. Shae is the only reason I made it through today. She did all she could to help me. Thank you for going above and beyond to help me today. From the very bottom of my heart thank you.
