Rude lady at the boarding Gate to fly to London Gatwick, 20:55 flight. She was sharing with her colleague how annoyed she was that I did not have my boarding pass ready, as I had given her my passport. Net time she should try to be polite.

Disappointing. Airport messy, dysfunctional (do not use prepaid card machines, they take 10 and give nothing), incompetent staff and arrogant. No Wifi (galley to register on the network of the airport, thank you Starbuck for the network provided free). Few open restaurants, especially in the morning (queue for a coffee at the Starbuck, Wagamama supposed to open at 7:30, closed). Amazing for an airport of this size.

On August 5 last year, Italy arrived in the early morning on the first day. We took the CX233 from Hong Kong and arrived at the airport in 10 hours. The arrival of the airport was faster than the EU channel. After arriving, take the airport bus to Milan Central Station.

I got to say, that the airport is a mixed bag. On one hand it seems to be well laid out and the staff is super-nice. Plus, there are artworks and so on. But the bathrooms are indeed a disaster. They are incredibly dirty (at 8:30 in the morning!) and a lot of them are broken. Some have non-closing doors, others lack wall hooks for carry-on, etc. And, besides, there are signs that wall fixtures support only 3 kg of weight. So you have a camera, a laptop and there you go. So what are you supposed to do in such situation? Stop using bathrooms? (And again, the floors are indescribably dirty so you cannot place your luggage on the floor). After about 10 minutes of searching I was able to find one bathroom that could be properly locked, that had a wall hook and wasn't dirty to the point of being unusable. Still it was really nasty! Seriously, I wouldn't expect this from the airport of one of the most gorgeous cities out there :( It is the worst bathroom I have ever used in an airport. It turned out to be broken as well, it kept flushing and flushing over and over again in an infinite loop :(
Other small criticism is that bathroom doors are hard to use (it's not immediately obvious how to lock it and whether it is locked). Milan, you are a Design Capital. Please, look how it's done in Riga airport, for example. Copy from the best! :)

The airport has two terminals connected by a shuttle bus with fairly frequent buses. The terminals are connected to the city of Milan (Milano Cadorna station) by an express train service with a few stops called Malpensa Express, with relatively high prices compared to the regional public transport train because they offer only first class seats. Some localities can also be reached by trains, such as Gallarate (lines S40 and S50 for Switzerland) and Busto Arsizio, from which it is possible to change trains for the local transport network. The automatic vending machines for buying train tickets at the airport station are few and very slow, with the risk of finding a lot of lines and losing the connection. The airport is well connected to Milan Central and its surroundings and to cities as far away as Turin in Piedmont and Lugano in Switzerland, including a dense network of road and bus transport. Many parking lots near the airport allow you to reach it even with private vehicles. Terminal 2 is quite dated and does not have adequate facilities for the size of the airport, for example there is a lack of seats and refreshment points, especially in the international area after passport checks. Terminal 1, on the other hand, is larger and offers more space for passengers, although seats are still very limited in relation to traffic. The security check staff is very kind and efficient, normally you don't wait more than a quarter of an hour even in the case of long queues. The toilets are very crowded and need some maintenance.

It is a big airport, but it is not so efficient.
Duty-free shops are also available on a small scale for several times.
Shopping in Milan is brilliant
It is better not to expect more.
The stores that pass through the judging panel are not tax-exempt.
You should take a good look.

Worst Italian airport.

Worst Italian airport.
After a flight that arrived early (fantastic) I find myself waiting for 47 minutes for my luggage and when I get home I find it broken with no official check notice with things all crushed inside.
So I asked myself a few questions: "Why did it take you almost an hour for fifteen bags and if you broke my suitcase because you didn't write that it was a police check (which is quite lawful).
In conclusion, I hope that Linate will be finished as soon as possible because I hope that I will not have to do it again.

TERMINAL DUE. Two stars referred to the baggage claim! Waiting about 1 hour before the roller left to collect our luggage. Two stars for the time we had to wait to get out of the plane (not less than 15 minutes, more than many other flights I took). Anger comes when you return from places abroad understand that this long wait is not the norm ..

I go against the current: this airport is a cathedral in the desert and the connection with Milan is not exceptional (expensive trains, more expensive buses than the correspondents for Bergamo).

Many shops, but it always gives me a little sadness ... I perceive this place as oversized compared to the actual use. Sin!

PS kind staff!

Physical distancing at the gate Easyjet flight to Berlin Tegel and back was impossible. People were crowded at the gate even when their seat rows were not called. A disaster!
Best not to travel during Covid times. I had to travel for family reasons otherwise I would not have.

The check-in girls (why are they all women?) at this airport are horrendous. Exactly what you might expect from Mussolini's children, belligerent, and unprofessional. The company providing these ground staff needs a real shake-up.

Security is smooth and efficient.

Navigation is quick and relatively easy.

Airport too big and not organized. When leaving, pay attention to taxi drivers. In an unprofessional manner, they do not accept customers with a credit card or a prepaid card (to avoid tracking the journey) and they start the meter even if the fixed Milan center rate for Malpensa airport is 95 euros. Shameful!

the reviews that claim Malpensa is very close to Milan are bs - this airport is at least an hour from the city by car or bus - the facilities are immaculate but everything else is terrible - the airport is managed well, but everything else from shopping to the wifi leave A LOT to be desired

Bad organization!

Bad organization!
Delayed departure of more than 1h due to 11 suitcases scattered nn where you know.
For the collection of the baggage on the return expected around 1h and 35 '(the baggage was loaded on the belt at 5/10 at a time with breaks of minutes)
Prices for a bottle of water to say the least crazy to talk about parking which has a cost of 3 / h
In addition, if you, like us, need assistance because of a damned payment machine, it becomes really difficult to find someone.
2h and 10min = 9 !!!
And this would be one of the most representative international airports?!?!? Let's go well then.

The distance is immense between the two terminals and if you are in transit, you risk to jettison the plane.
If you land at T1 you have to climb two floors on normal stairs, not rolling.
The bus to T2 runs very slowly, slowly and with stops.
At T2 the bus leaves you away from the entrance, the signs are confused and the lifts are locked.
The staff speaks only Italian and baggage controls are hired ORDINARY HOTIS that confiscate without legal reason things that they like or need them without giving you any explanation, receipt or document !!!
You go in transit anywhere in this world, but you do not pay airport charges to this horrible Milan!

The most idiotic airport of all that ever seen. Not only that, from the check-in desk to the inspection area, go through the entire terminal, then even before passport control and exits go again through the entire airport.
But the most wonderful is not even that: after you go through passport control and finally think that you can relax, you find yourself in a zone without a single store or cafe!
Only two vending machines with coffee and meager food brighten up your expectation of boarding.
Extravaganza, what to say.
