Worst hospital ever!!! My dad was transferred from another facility and then they said they would call me to give me updates on his health. I waited for a while and I gave up and started calling because they would not give me a call to let me know on his status. I would call constantly because they would never call back, it s understandable that they are busy but they should not make promises to call. Then he was changed to another room and no one let my mom or I know that we could see him (one at a time) until I showed up since I was not allowed to be with him in the ER. On top of this situation they said my mom was with him upstairs already, whole time she was with me and we were not aware that he could be seen. They should not treat people this way especially that you are from out of the state. ** Update** on 5/1 my father was discharged and let me know many awful things this hospital did to him on top of this they gave him the wrong medication that led my father into another emergency room. I would never trust this hospital ever again!

Gave birth to my baby here and it was honestly one of the best experience I ve ever had at any hospital. All the nurses were kind and supportive. A special thank you to Abby from labor & delivery. She held my hand and made sure I had everything I needed during labor. She encouraged me all the way to the end alongside my amazing midwife Jodi Westrum from Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht. So thankful for both of these ladies

I just had knee replacement surgery at Shady Grove
The surgery center was outstanding. Every single person was positive, helpful and accommodating. In particular Catherine and Xena (sp?) who were the surgery nurses assigned to my care were so wonderful. They really made this procedure so much more bearable. These two deserve some special recognition. Clearly the surgery unit has very good standards, likely good quality control and supervision. It is also very refreshing to notice how positive the nurses and other staff interact with one another. In the middle of a surgical unit and world wide pandemic this really stands out. Thanks so much Catherine and Xena.

This hospital is grossly underrated on here. My wife has multiple sclerosis so we've stayed at the hospital and been admitted to the ER at least 20 times over the last 4 years. service is impeccable every time. The neurology staff led by Dr. Perry Smith is phenomenal, he is one of the most loving and caring doctors you will ever meet. Every member of the ER team and on-call doctors are all extremely caring and professional. I highly recommend this hospital. We've stayed at every hospital in a 50 mile radius just about, this one takes the cake by far. Also very well kept, clean, and well-maintained.

I called looking for my old records. I was fortunate enough to have Wayne Brooks as my customer service agent. He was patient knowledgeable and friendly. At one point we got disconnected he actually called me right back. He found my records and as I fumbled my way along he waited on the line with me for me to find the fax number to send my records. He said take your time. This has never happened to me in my life. Such a refreshing customer service experience. Thank you Wayne I can t tell you how much I appreciate you!

Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Shady Grove hospital. During my visit to the ER I felt safe and very cared for. The doctors did everything to figure out the issue and for that I m so ever grateful. I had an X-ray done in my own room didn t have to go anywhere, it was really great. Praying for blessings over this hospital and the hardworking staff.

I would never advise anyone of color to come to this facility. My father was treated horribly at this hospital. The only nurse I will say that was amazing was Geneva. The case manager Linda that handled his hospital stay was horrible. She instantly got a attitude once I let her know I did not want to send my father back to a nursing home. She made it seem like my father was in worse condition then what he was. In a report she put that my father was demented and that he had a stroke, non-verbal, and couldn t swallow and so on and none of these things were true. She gave the Assisted Living Facility a very hard time getting documents and forms and orders for him. I believe she thought it was made up and not a real facility so she made things very difficult with his transfer. The forms she sent to the home health facility that she requested for him were incorrect she again said my father couldn t walk, talk, or eat. The conditions she put in paperwork on my father were so far off and incorrect she was awful. I would hope no one has to go through this with her. The hospital really needs to evaluate her because she is horrible. But thank god for my father doing great

I would give negative stars if I could. I asked the nurses three different times for a med I knew would help what I was having issues with. Took them an entire day of me struggling the whole time until they gave it to me. I asked to be discharged once I felt fine and they wouldn t let me and wanted to keep me for no reason. I asked for the meds to be prescribed that they gave me and that I normally get when I have this issue and they wouldn t since I left without consent. I had no reason to stay and rack a bill up another night for no reason, especially after the person next to me attacked the nurses and doctors. So now I can t get the correct meds and I wasted my time here. WORST HOSPITAL IVE BEEN TO
