Such a vibrant atmosphere. Great range and prices, easy place to hang out. But you will have to spend some money!
Love going to the central market for fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and meat.
Busy and vibrant market with everything you need all under one roof. Butchers, fish mongers, green grocers, small goods, cheese mongers, plus different styles of eateries to name a few of the stalls here. Definitely worth a visit.
I love the atmosphere and fresh foods.
Good competition amongst the traders.

Whenever I drop into Adelaide I do my best to head here. Excellent range of foods and cultures, well priced, it's just a little squeezey at times.
Lots of great fresh produce as well as speciality sellers of all kinds of different hard to find foods. I brought my out of town friend here and it was nice to look around in the historical building.
Friendly service. Cold beer. Tasty food. Lively conversations around us by happy customers
Great fresh produce and casual dining. Good for kids.
Go on Saturday at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm all fruits and Veg become cheaaaap
Saturdays always have great sale as being the last day of the week. Mostly veggies and fruits may be at similar prices as the supermarkets but definitely more fresh. A great variety to suit everyone's needs as well for a get together.
From Wednesday to Saturday this market is buzzing with atmosphere, pick up the bargains, a bit of cheese tasting and lots of great little food and coffee spots!
Always something fresh and delicious available. Such great variety and supports small businesses
Diverse and fancy, Adelaide Central Market is a great place to spend some time doing shopping or just to enjoy the European atmosphere. Not very cheap though and sometimes is a hassle to find a parking place .
Great place to eat out on morning.
Osyter, coffee and asian food!
This is a special place if you love and adore quality food from around the world. It's almost better than some of the kicatiins. Example is the lemon moranigue from the French quarter I could not believe how incredible it was.
I love that place every time I am in Adelaide I will go there.dorothee
It's great for groceries but nothing else, and if you wanna see pig heads etc....not for me. But also the toilet facilities were on an indefinite close for repairs. There's some stalls outside that sell magnets and scarves but not much else going on
The best market experience I've encountered in Australia
What a place to visited when you come Adelaide. It like been in Europe. Every national from all over the world , live here in Adelaide south Australia. Food, fruit meat chicken, and most of all the Seafood.
Love central market. Everyone is super friendly and there is loads of great bargains and super fresh fruit and veg.
One of my favourite places to visit, love the local produce
A must visit for tourists and locals alike. Beaut atmosphere and huge range of quality food.
Some nice european, many different products at all. Fresh fruit, bread, meat, fish, cafes, etc. But small, on busy days hard to get through it.
Good shopping atmosphere
So good it is where I met my wife so now it is a romantic place too
Everything u could ever need, found conveniently here!
Good place to get your hands on souvenirs and some local food.
There are variety of shops for book readers and fruit lovers.
It is difficult to roam around without knowing the place - difficult to navigate.
Central Markets have been an Adelaide 'go to' for me on every visit. The array of food is amazing, with some great coffee shops. Always worth a visit.
Everyone loves Adelaide Central Market, great place for all ages. Adelaide Central Market does most definitely need a revamp the markets inside (not the food market) need redesign and a modern look.
Great produce, great variety and a great place just to wander around.
Air conditioning is not so good. It's not so pleasant on a hot day.
Love this place every time i stop over in town best food markets
Love the fresh food at the central market. Great variety too. The Big Table has great coffee & yummy breakfasts as well! Good parking if you get there early.
If you're looking at getting your veggies and fruits for a cheaper price than what you pay for at woolies or Cole's, this is your place. You'll find a variety in cheese, meats, fruit & veggies and many other raw food items that you could stock up for cheap in bulk. Seven brothers is a store that gives you a good deal for fruits and veggies!
Most stall holders if not the owners don't understand what products they are selling, spent $53 dollars on a eye fillet 400 grams and it was tough as a bone, had no clue why it was so expensive.
Beautiful, neat and clean market.
Can find anything I need here.
Great food, great cafes and great music.
It's good to visit on Friday Night.
The best markets I have ever seen! So much wonderful produce and beautiful socially items. I could spend days here. I loved it!
Great produce, specialty foods and cafes. Love the Central Markets. With Chinatown and Gouger Street alongside it is a foodies dream. Full of atmosphere.
Always a great experience & the free parking for the first hour means we can get most of our weekly shopping done without incurring extra parking charges.
Great variety of food and drinks. I also really enjoyed walking around and browsing. The Market is beautiful.
Always a fun place for shopping or just to look (at produce and people)
Small, quaint but great for fresh produce. Couple hours and you should discover everything it has to offer.
love to shop at central markets ans O'Connell's butchers still the best quality meat and low prices we have been shopping there for over 10/15 year
Possibly the best fresh food and produce market in Australia! Don't just take my word for it, see for yourself. This is not just your average market, the quality, freshness and range of fresh produce are of top notch and amazing! This is a paradise for foodies and passionate cooks.
Great place to find everything your looking for, nice atmosphere too.
Excellent market, fantastic for families and education fully recommended
It's the place where you can do marketing for fresh food, eat at the food courts and go for coffee with friends.
Love the market, there's everything you may need. Saturday afternoon is the best time for bargains.
I was a bit disappointed, there wasn't a lot to see and a lot of the stalls sell the same kind of thing. Would not say it's a must do in Adelaide. The bookstore is great though
Nice little market with a good selection of cafe's, fruit and veggies.
