Fresh produce, great selection of fruit, veg, flowers, cake, cheese ,smallgoods, fresh seafood and lots more
Great deals and most importantly fresh products. They have a range of different produce and if u ever get too tired walking around, there s heaps of cafes, juice bars, little exotic restaurants and even oyster bars. Great way to spend your weekend and to just get your everyday produce there.
Sights, smells, sounds...mostly smells! Also the tastings.
Very good products from all origins! We even found some very good bread that we had been missing for a few days :)
A must see Adelaide landmark. Lots to see, eat and drink.
Was a little disappointed with the visit.
Have seen better days here.
Prices have risen making it not as competitive as the supermarket outlets.
Perhaps the heart of Adelaide's food culture, the Central Markets are a sensory extravaganza in the best possible way. You will encounter a variety of fragrances while navigating through the laneways, trying to avoid bumping into people while you find yourself gazing at yet another stall filled with delicacies. In your ears you will hear shopkeepers yelling their daily specials, and you will also find plenty of places to take a seat, enjoy a coffee and take five.
Nice big ... but I had wished more smells of spices ... Market just and no shopping ... but still good
Simply the best place to discover South Australia's highest quality produce.
Remember to talk with your vendor, they're super friendly and full of interesting and useful information to help you get the most out of your experience such as cooking methods and recipe ideas.
Highly Recommended!
Best place in CBD for grocery shopping. Fresh fruits and vegetables, cafes , yiros and much more.
One of my favourite shop is honey and soap box. They have lots of different types of honey and handmade soaps as well.
There s chemist warehouse always have good discount than other pharmacies.
A must go place in Adelaide.
Bursting with fresh clean flavours!! Adelaide true first Authentic Mexican Cantina Experience and very reasonably priced!!
I've looked and tried most in Adelaide and it's truly the best!!!
Fantastic grocery, meats and goods available from numerous stalls. Some can be more expensive than normal stores such as woolies but there is often a bit more variety and better selection. It's like tinder but has absolutely nothing to do with tinder
To note:
There are stalls that sell all types of cheese, which is ideal for cooks, wine buffs or one thousand mice in a trenchcoat
There is a stall called wild things which serves game meats, there is a distinct lack of emu meat which disappoints me; as a veteran of the emu war I wish to relish in the satisfaction of feasting on the corpses of my foes
There are sometimes stalls for books. I am not sure why these are here as the books they serve are often very old and hard to cook.
Always a bustling with culture, atmosphere and delicious food.
Great place to get fresh produce in town, or just walk around and check out.
Well worth the visit Great Fresh Smells Food & Coffee heaps of easy parking at good prices
Oh my gosh I love this place. Been coming here for years and always make time to come back when I'm in town. Sadly some favourite vendors have moved on, but it has and always will be a fantastic place for cheese, bread, meats and fresh produce. The atmosphere is unlike anything else I've experienced around Australia and well worth the time to check out.
Totally unexpected in central Adelaide. Mostly fresh food but enough cafe or takeaway to keep you happy and going. Wide variety of local produce and many things you wouldn't expect to find elsewhere.
Tonnes of parking, or easily accessible by public transport, this is the place to be! From weekly grocery shopping, to a coffee with friends, or a sneaky ice cream with the kids, there is something for everybody here.
Awesome fresh produce stalls, one of the best markets in the Southern Hemisphere.
Great place to shop with plentt of cafes and good food on offer
The market has great atmosphere, great fresh produce (especially seafood) and great options to fill your belly.
Quite an experience visiting this market. The freshness of produce being offered were noted. Prices were fairly reasonable compared to other major Australian cities we've visited.
Plenty of parking and extensive range of food stalls and places to eat
Great variety of fresh food, an old style market that has everything from seafood to salami, cheese to coffee.
Always a lovely experience. atmosphere is great with all the different cultures. Good for a coffee on the weekend and within the city for some shopping too
Nice place to shop for fresh produce, check out the vegetable stalls at Saturday for great bargain over supermarket!
This place has to be visited very nice place specially Asian food to serve.
Nothing beats the unique, quirky and engaging, Adelaide defining central markets.
Fresh food in an undercover market place in the heart of the city! There's lots of variety and many interesting things to try! It's family friendly, and there are many specialty stores. If you're in Adelaide, make sure you visit!
Fantastic place to go explore, get some delicious food and try the best local produce on offer
I always get what I want to buy. Ive been coming here all my life. I will miss it when it is being renovated.

The best market in Australia, a must visit when passing through Adelaide.
Everybody visiting Adelaide has to have been here, too.
Best market in Adelaide, you can shop for pretty much any meal or recipe you can imagine under one roof. Great energy, fantastic location.

Always amazing, always something for everyone. Empanadas and paella from the place near the book stall, cant beat it for taste, value and quality
A very well organised market. Mostly you can find fruits vegetables nuts and traditional products to buy.
This is the epitome of places to visit in Adelaide.
Always been a massive fan of the markets. How could you not be if you love your food. Especially fresh, local produce. It's a great experience for young and old. Some of my best memories are going to the markets with my eldest daughter when she was just an infant, pushing her in her stroller, she loved the smells and buzz of the markets. I love everything about the markets
A great outing to experience and select produce and food from dozens of stalls. Have an idea on pricing as not always cheaper but selection and freshness makes the difference.
Vibrant, bustling, joyful, interesting. The best market in Australia.
Had lunch with 2 friends. Had a lovely day. Food was unbelievable
I thought there would be more exotic produce but its the same as the supermarket and everything is so expensive.
Fantastic selection of plain and gourmet market food deligjts
It s all under the one roof. Food food food! And it s all good !
Best thing to do on a Friday after work, could wander the aisles for hours! Some amazing smells and tasty foods down every row
Such a lovely vibrant market boasting great Australian produce. Delightfully fresh. Plenty of delis, bakers, smallgoods, fish mongers, greengrocers on site. There is free wi-fi too! Late night shopping is available on the Friday...great to take family and young children.
A must visit market if your in Adelaide. Has fruit and veggies, deli's, condiment shops, meats, snacks, and many more of your grocery needs. You can find products here that are locally sourced, such as honey from Kangaroo Island. 2 hours free parking
Great local producer and super friendly people at the stalls! Everyone I'd met at our first market has been lovely and I'm excited to visit again soon. Highly recommend the honey Doo bee stall and the lato honey cakes
My wife used to buy all our meat, seafood and cheese here every Saturday when we lived in North Adelaide.I went with her a few times and it truly is a fantastic set up.There is not much you can think of that you can't buy here .....and it's real fresh.

Cultural hub of Adelaide.
Great eating, great grocery shopping, gift shopping, great quality produce and prices.
Intergenerational and international, a beautiful thing. Great place even, for simply taking a stroll.
The Central Market is awesome. There is something for everyone. So many shops and stools and stands with the widest variety at great prices. Car park available with first hour free.
If you love market halls and have already visited many on your travels, you can save them. The offer is normal. There are few ways to eat fresh food.
We can get fresh vege, seafood and even halal meat here.. Thumbs up.
